@Varun

Do me a favour and give me your wages for the last few weeks (I don't think you've sold/bought anyone so they should be the same).

Its 3,536,945 in the finances section under the column dated 29th Nov. My squad page shows 1.9mil. Why am I paying the cnuts double, demand a refund?

Try the previous week. The 29th includes Sunday's game on the Old Wages and Thursdays which had the new wages.

Just a sec. My net's getting buggy, that's why the chat stopped working I think.

I'll be paying an extra £887,256 per week.

Have they actually raised our revenues?

Until I get accurate finances for Division 2 I won't be able to work out their difference in income. Will be able to work that out tomorrow evening.

Actually demonstrates that the new wages has impacted the bigs clubs the most. I'm more annoyed because Steven said that it would help smaller clubs when I actually can't see how that can be correct tbh. Perhaps small clubs in Div1, but those in lower Divs can't surely?

Could he be referring to the bigger clubs needing to sell due which in turns lets smaller clubs get these players on the cheap? I cant see how I can take an extra hit of 800k every week.

But the small clubs would have to then pay the wages of the big players which they won't be able to afford.

Ofcourse, I'm saying that assuming the relook that he's talking about makes it a better situation for smaller clubs financially. It wont help anyone if no one can afford them.

But lets assume that you decide to take the hit and sell Robben. Realistically, only United could buy him because of his £223,200 per week wages! To put it into perspective, if I wanted to break even my entire squads wages would need to be £1,103,439. Robbens wages is like almost a quarter of that! I'm not really sure how small clubs are meant to make money while also remaining competitive.

feck that. Anyone else can have him.

I agree. Robben's wages should be halved. I'll go tell them on the forum

no. we're all fecked. when can we have the rich economy?

I think getting the right risers in is more critical than ever. Easy 3-4mil to be made in a short time if you make the right pick. Need about 5 of those players every season to break even. That in turn means creating 5 squad spaces due to our FFP and extra time to scout these players.

tl;dr version: Might need to spend more time on the game. Cannot.

Think you're right Varun. If you add cups etc I'll be losing 15m a Season atm. But the issue is that when players get rating rises the wages will therefore obviously increase as well!

Ironically, the only clubs that are going to have substantial cash I think will end up being the Clubs that get the hand me outs. I just think it's all very backwards that they're punishing managers that have constructed good squads by then forcing them to sell. Take my club as an example, if you add up all my players wages of 88 and higher (17 players) it comes to £1,146,100. My estimated break even wage should be at £1,103,439, so i'm already over my wage budget with just 17 players. Neymar and Lewandowskis wages result in 34.4% of my wage limit.

So the only way I think I can make money is do what i'm doing currently and then just having to sell a batch of players each season to nullify the loss. I guess it's not so bad because to break even i'd basically have to sell 2 87 rated players which would bring me in a minimum of £8m each. But it's not a strategy that would work for new managers as I've got a nice even spread of ratings in my squad meaning that i'm always able to replace players I do sell. But thats taken like 2 and a half years to get my squad to that point!

Perhaps the Season Ticket money or Prize money needs increasing to help balance the wages out. /shrugs

I've played 2 friendlies (Barnsley (H) & Norwich (A)) and 1 league match (Blackburn (H)) with my tiki-tactics. Won 2 & 1 draw. So far with an average:

2,33 goals scored.
1 goal conceded.
60% possession.
7 shots on target.
1,33 shots on target conceded.

Don't think i'll dare play those tactics away to better oppo like tomorrow, though.

To be fair Varun. You have the 2nd best Stadium in the game, I make a huge loss each week. You need to take the blinkers off and understand how frustrating this game is from the perspective of the minions. Honestly I think you and Damien really forget just how hard it is at times to be a small club.

/shakes fist.
