Gaming The SM RedCafe League

What is this?

Look at the bottom of this:

first_team_table_new_m1.jpg

The list you quoted averages out your points per player. Gives you an idea of how good your first team is in comparison to others around you. 89 rated + only count. It's like the reverse of the youth table.

Are Leeds actually that bad? I thought I had a team capable to stay up in d1 aswell

It takes all of 10minutes to check a league in transfermarket for young players. Or he asks for help, for some tips etc. I give them out to those who ask nicely as @langster, Bristol City and Cardiff City managers will know.
Yeah, as always a great help and a true gent, just as you were when I first modded a WW game.

Its because your team has a lot of players aged 30 or over. So you get points based on the players rating. For example... 6 points if they're 90 rated and then points for the players age:

18 4
19 3.5
20 3
21 2.5
22 2
23 1.5
24 1
25 0.5
26 0
27 -0.5
28 -1
29 -1.5
30 -2
31 -2.5
32 -3
33 -3.5
34 -4
35 -4.5
36 -4.8
37 -5.1
38 -5.4
39 -5.7
40 -6

So if the 90 rated player is 30 years old, his points goes from 6 down to 4.

Aww I see that makes sense since I have every fossil going thought it must've been something like that.

It's just a nice way of seeing how good your first team is in regards to depth. Teams with old players won't have good long term depth and thus get penalised. It doesn't have any baring on Soccermanager except for knowing how long you have before needing to bring in some younger players :)

Oooo a plus +7 today, not bad for 10k. Dendoncker rose by 1, thought he might of got more than that tbh.

You all can feck off with your patronising bullshit on how to find young players. I spend shit loads of time finding youth and have a shortlist of nearly 700 players with more than 600 of them being U22. The fact of the matter is that anyone worth having simply isn't available and the scraps that RedSky or Damien say they're apparently feeding the rest of us are deadwood's of their teams, players unlikely to rise or feature otherwise why would they sell? Take Knoche for example, sure a star for the future if he gets the opportunity to develop further but will he feature this season? Not unless Dante and Naldo get injured and weighing that option like the smart guy he is RedSky decided to offload him. Will he rise? Unlikely if he doesn't play. £18m well spent form Herrera, yea sure because he rose in the youth table :rolleyes:

Anyways I can see that you choose to ignore all valid points I made and started to talk bullshit. Why wouldn't you? The status-quo favours your teams for a long time to come. You can exchange players between yourselves and then buy more with all the cash it all generates.

Here are some notable transfers this season to see what I'm talking about:

M.KRUSE Arsenal => Blackburn Rovers £13.5M
D.RAFAEL Aston Villa => Sunderland £12.0M
G.CHIELLINI Arsenal => Tottenham Hotspur £21.5M + A.SANDRO
A.LACAZETTE Manchester United => Liverpool £11.0M
R.STERLING Liverpool => Manchester United £11.0M + A.GOMES
A.VIDAL Queens Park Rangers => Manchester United £63.1M
M.NASTASIĆ Aston Villa => Arsenal £12.0M + X.SHAQIRI
E.OSCAR Everton => Newcastle United £13.0M + C.KRAMER + R.PEDRO
M.ÖZIL Chelsea => Manchester United £71.5M
I.MARTÍNEZ Tottenham Hotspur => Arsenal £18.0M

Handful of clubs trading large amounts of cash and notable players.

I'm only trying to make the game more fun for everyone, myself included. You've worked hard for your teams I get that, but it simply isn't possible for the rest of us to do what you did because there aren't that many, if any players available. The gameworld has almost 40 managers, it probably had around the same number near the beginning but over time it went down to something like 25 probably and all the players accumulated by those other clubs were all purchased by whoever stayed in the game. It is oversaturated with people now to the point that no cash is any good because no one will sell decent players. A further cap is needed to adjust for the rise in people that have joined. A 45 man team is WAY WAY MORE than any of you will ever need and I repeat it will make feck all difference to you but all the difference in the wolrd for the other 30 or so managers. If it was up to me I'd say even 35 is more than enough for EVERYONE because you'd have a 25 man team and 10 youths.

@LitterBug A cap on the number of players teams are allowed to loan out is about the only way I can think of balancing the situation. All of the promising, highly rated youngsters are obviously owned by the more established sides -- yet if they're 88 or below, they're often loaned out. Some teams have an insane amount of players loaned out, and it benefits lower division sides in the short term, because they get a player that they need, but they have no chance of actually buying that player if his rating rises.

Why does this matter?

But it is worth taking a look at this sort of thing every once and a while to see how your players are doing
Yeah, over a period of time I learned the following:
  • Wenger hates Chambers
  • Ditto with PSG and Digne but now he's gone to Roma who love him <3
  • Things have been going bad for Iturbe and he nearly left in the summer
  • Feyenoord have had two managers since Koeman left, both of whom hate Vilhena
  • Gaya is awesome
  • Same with Jedvaj when he isn't injured :(

Why does loan cap matter? How does that help you to improve your team?

It prevents teams from hoarding players -- you can't keep a squad of 50 players happy, with game time, morale etc -- unless you loan out 20-25 of them.

It means that the big teams still get the best picks but the smaller teams could, in theory, pick up some of the players currently hoarded.

Plus it'd mean the smaller teams have a greater chance of being able to loan their players out

You can keep them happy because generally 89/90 rated players will develop concerns. The players who expect to play for your team will also develop concern from being loaned out.

I have it in the RAWK gameworld. Loaned out a couple of 89 who rose to 90 and now they have a concern from being loaned out.

Only thing that helps everyone is the release of some more players in the market. That won't happen unless hoarders agree and its unlikely that they will.

You know no one will develop concerns and what MG says will change nothing, stop pretending to be sympathetic, its laughable :lol:

It has been a complaint by a number of people in the past that they can't loan their players out, and with the gameworld getting fuller, the concern is even more valid as there are a smaller number of AI controlled clubs to loan players to. Mciahel's proposed idea would mean that there is a greater chance of more teams being able to loan their players out rather than just a select few clubs.

It'd change a heck of a lot as some of the smaller clubs struggle to support the wages of some of their risers. Only paying half of the wages of some of the higher earners would be a great benefit to them, and would also mean they'd have more money to go towards buying more risers :)

I love it when you pretend to be stupid Damo. You and RS both pretend to be stupid very well :lol:

MG can loan out 3 players and even if he was to save £100k per match that's only £3.8m for the season (reality is he will only save about £15k per match so £500k for the season) with either amount making feck all difference considering you're giving risers away at £10m a pop :lol:

I have 7 out on loan and am saving £25k per match.

You know where the problem is and you don't want to discuss it so you keep either ignoring it or throwing curveballs like this.

J.MCCARTHY Manchester United => Bury £10.0M

Were you not the least bit ashamed to raid a Div 3 team like that :lol:

You don't have to continue changing the topic though. I know you won't discuss what the real issue is. I'm just entertaining myself.

J.MCCARTHY Manchester United => Bury £10.0M
He ain't a riser. He's bought by Bury to be a starter and can sell him for a profit anyway as he's valued at around 12M now.

Ben Davies (22/87) Manchester United => Bolton Wanderers £5.4M
Nathan Redmond (21/86) Manchester United => Bury £4M

They're closer to risers as they've still got big potential for growth, but they've been over halfway through the riser "process".

You can buy "true" risers for around 300k or less a pop.

Heck, there's one "riser" I sold for a loss that you've got shortlisted and could have bought him from me for cheaper than his current value at the external club

I sold Cancelo for £2.5M a few months ago who is now a starter at Valencia, who Ipswich then snapped up for £2M

I sold Cavaleiro for £2M who ended up rising by 2 a few months later and got a move to Monaco

he forgets to mention the massive profit he makes from buying and selling players that would be a risk for us to buy as if it didnt work out it would be a loss for us, iv got a few players that if sold would be a loss even though they are young and a decent rating and were bought for the minimum.

None less than what people could save from loaning out so point stands.

Also the constant there is you sold, so other point still stands.

You hold on to players till they are not promising enough or someone better comes along and then you release them.

Mate, I sold them as part of the FFP cap that came into effect and other teams are benefiting from it. I would have kept them otherwise as I saw the potential in both

That is my transfer policy because waiting for minuscule risers was putting me in the red. There is no player available out there that could possibly rise enough for it to be a sound investment when wages are taken into consideration.

You don't need to make as much money as me to stay afloat with a 40k stadium considering you also have much much better risers and players available which will generate you tons of cash. £70 odd mill for Ozil alone would cover years at Wolves!

That's why another cap is needed, so you can sell more :lol:

I've been saying it for ages!

Plus it'd mean the smaller teams have a greater chance of being able to loan their players out
I suppose it would. I haven't thought this out very comprehensively tbh, I think I'll leave this economic revolucion to LB and Chris Guevara.
