Even if you counted that, its still 12 over 90, not 10. You 'insert insult to make myself look tough' ;)

Even if I counted that? I'm sorry, were you not counting the fact that 90 isn't a greater number than 90?

Okay I missed Nasri, but Adebayor isn't even at the club, he's at Spurs. Compare my starting squad to those of Manchester United or Chelsea though and you'll see that they're each very similar in terms of value and quality.

I think you have to recall them back, but you still need to sell one of your big name players to put you in a better position. And instead of going for the star names, go for those a bit lower rated but have had good seasons and may go up. They would be on lower wages than the players you've got now and you may be alright financially until the end of the season then.
I will sell my keeper for 4 million or something and get out of debt, then i can exchange players, but i don't want to go into debt again, at the same time, i want to get in better rated players. I don't know if both of that is possible.

Hmm, Cardiff are unbeaten in their last nine league matches, and I don't draw games...

Strootman is a massive loss for me and means I'll have to re-jig my formation and tactics to one I've never used before as a result.

You won't be able to do both. If you exchange for better rated players it won't be long before you're back in the red.

feck off. Why say that in the thread?

In most cases I wouldn't mention it (your deal for Lescott for instance) but De Jong is hardly a secret. By my last count there was TEN different clubs interested. Hence, 9 clubs have been made aware.

Also, I could have been talking about Nigel as far as anyone else knew :wenger:

Also, Also, I play you at the weekend and would rather he wasn't playing.

Also, Also, Also, feck you yeah? :p

There's still no excuse. That is the shitc**tiest thing ever. 9 clubs will have been made aware, but will many of them have bid? Probably not. Now you've announced in the thread that is 67 clubs aware. Well done.

That is fecking low. You play me on Sunday so decide to scupper a deal I do. Hope you're proud of yourself. You're a disgrace to the league.

Get a grip of yourself Damien. Anyone that's "aware" will have had him on their shortlist. As far as anyone else knew I was on about Nigel.

I thought you were referring to Nigel.

All the good players getting snapped to quickly, unfortunately joining late is gonna leave me with the scraps. Might just skip this and prepare for the next one.

Also funny how all the division 2 clubs are splashing out on the very best talents...

It's a cnutish thing to do, I had been following him but registered no interest. You highlighted him to me with what you said and I could of been a dick and made a bid.

Luckily for bidders I'm not bothering with him as I picked up Rooney. I moaned at RedSky the other day for mentioning I had bid on Rooney and he apologised for it.

Yes but if they searched for De Jong they would see that Nigel had no bids, and it wouldn't be hard to look for other names on the list.

Cider? Or is true Damien coming out?

Cider? Or is true Damien coming out?

If it was accidental and cw said sorry I could perhaps forgive him. But from what cw has said he sees nothing wrong with it and has done it deliberately. What a cnut. I don't like using that word but I feel it is suitable in this instance. Nobody else would like it if it happened to them.

Cider? Or is true Damien coming out?

Eh?

There's been a gentleman's agreement in place since practically the very start of this thread that managers should not mention players other managers are interested in or have bid on until any deal has been accepted. If cw thinks it's okay to ignore this basic act of fairplay then he's a cnut no doubt about it.

Of course it was deliberate. How do you make a post by accident? :wenger:

I sense you're incorrect re my motive for doing so though. You seem to think it was malicious. Which it wasn't.

You're reaction since has been worth it alone though.

Yeah it's a bit gay. I got that notification but didn't announce it. It's just painting a beacon for everyone to come and hijack it. Credit to those who snatch a good player under the radar, but if they can't compete with the big boys financially it's not good to let them all know who they can buy.

So you don't think they is anything wrong with it?

Talk about an overreaction though, moreso if there was 10 people who had him on the shortlist. When someone on your shortlist is bid on, don't you get notified?

Bit cnutish perhaps, but it's just a game, relax...

No. I didn't mention his Lescott deal because that would have been harsh as there was only me and Damien interested IIRC. De Jong is different though, I saw no harm.

Guess this Soccer Manager is serious business then... apologies. I thought it was all a laugh.

Sundays game between CW and Damo will be a heated affair now!

Fwiw, I think its a bit of a cnutish thing to do. I wouldnt feel right trying to buy him now though, as I didnt have him on my shortlist. Anyone who tries to buy him now after not having him on their shortlist is also a bit cnutish.

Yes but like I said, there was only a small number of people aware. Now the whole of the league is aware.

It wasn't malicious? Then what is this:

You say you did it right there because you didn't want him to join me and play against you. You couldn't bid on him yourself so you decided to let the whole league know so that others can bid if needed. That is malicious.

Adebayor is still a City player, yes he's on loan, but he's part of your squad. I wouldn't want to compare yourself to Chelsea in any case considering the embarrassing job Ned's done with his transfers (love ya Ned).

Zarlaks not done too bad.

He started with 16 90+ rated players, average rating of 91.8. Now he has 13, an average rating of 93.4.

You started with 17 90+ players, average rating of 91.7. Now you have 10 players, average rating of 93.1.

So he's only lost 3 players from his squad and yet has a bigger average rating (whilst still having 3 more players than you). You on the other hand have lost 7 players harming your squad depth and haven't really improved enough for the loss. Advantage Zarlak i'd say.

To put it into perspective. Stoke didn't have 1 90+ rated player in his squad, he now has 11. That's what I call good transfers!

You thought I was being serious? Jesus Christ Damien.

Also, you're incorrect. I could bid for him myself if I wanted to.

Guys, this thread had been clean.
Let keep it that way by agreeing that an ongoing deal shouldn't be revealed, regardless of amount of people already having the player on his shortlist.

Once the bids are accepted, then we can discuss it.

This is all a genius plan from Damien. He bid on De Jong, but noticed all the interest. So he asked CW to leak the bid on here. Cue the whole moral outrage act, and now anyone who bids on De Jong would be considered cnutish.

Well played.

Nit-picking over minor differences in average rating means feck all. This game is about potential.

Maybe I'm just a total cnut... but I see nothing wrong at all with talking about who other players have bid on/are bidding on. If anything, it's just as if press speculation existed within the game...

I don't see the problem either but seeing how people got so menstrual about it perhaps it matters to them.

I won't do it again. Sorry etc etc etc.
