Kept toying with the idea, finally got enough money after my last European game. Nearly pulled out to rival Sunderland with a transfer but thought with Friedel ageing it seemed better to sign him.

Thought about fielding a full youth team against Villa but have gone for a blend. The cups aren't a big priority for me as trying to focus on improving my league position.
 
I was wondering why Philip was loaning Jairo off me but I think it looks like he's going to play him in the cup matches.

A cup run would have been nice for me but with rotation being needed for the cup and me not having much strength in depth as well as facing City next round I've decided to focus on the league. If I can progress to the next round then it's a bonus.

Same here and with my results inconsistency, I thought it wasn't worth sacrificing players for the cup to get knocked out randomly.

Have a bit of a mixed side myself. Sort of forced to, as I want to keep most of my Top XI fresh for Newcastle on Thursday, but too many of the second-teamers are at sub-par condition. Have some midfield help on the way to make up for the injuries (and general shittiness) I've got there, but the league has to be the priority.

Quite a few interesting games in the player v player matches. Two Premier League sides in Villa v Spurs, Division 5 v Division 1 in Aldershot v Everton and Bury visit Stamford Bridge to name a few.

10 changes for my outing in this cup, I was going to field a strong team, but they are all tired so a little rest before Carlisle.

Did win 3-0 though, 4 players with 10 rating :eek:

5 players with 9 rating and 2 with 8. Only 1 first team player in the first 11 (the goalkeeper)
 
Beat Villa 1-2. Vadillo got sent off again the little cnut, he got a red in the European cup last night the bugger.
 
Won 2-0. I somehow managed to bring my sub keeper on upfront in a bizarre substitution in the 75th minute :nervous:
 
Liverpool, showing the finishing they've made themselves known for all year, lost on penalties after a nil-nil draw with Division 3 side Hartlepool United. Andy Carroll had a 3 rating, and didn't appear in commentary once.

Anyone want to give me 35M for him?
 
Won 3-1, I had 2 injuries. But they are only out for 3 days each and back up players anyway.

:lol: even my sub keeper got a better rating of 4 when I accidentally managed to bring him on upfront.
 
Defeated by Charlton 2-1. Sounds like he outplayed me.

How you find that out? When I click on the competition it says no results or fixtures currently available.

No idea why they were so many byes, plenty of teams could of played each other.
 
Oh interesting draw for me. Up Against Phil's Preston NE. Good team he has, looking at my schedule it may be my reserves out I'm that game too.
