Gaming The SM RedCafe League

Another cup victory. Glad I drew two PL clubs for the next rounds, unfortunately only one away. But still, looking forward to some extra money coming in. Downside is my relatively tiny squad are getting very tired, which may affect my league results.

Have you got any loan gaps in your squad? I could loan you Sala for a bit. He's 80 rated and his wage is 'only' £8k so shouldn't be too much of a burden unless you're already making a loss. He would be useful for your cup games if you want to field a weakened side in those. This invitation is extended to anyone who wants a player on loan to play in the cup games.

I'm on my phone here, but you get the idea.....

What team do you manage?

10 changes for my outing in this cup, I was going to field a strong team, but they are all tired so a little rest before Carlisle.
:( bad news for me.

Well played, Carlisle are now out of every cup competition.

Oh right.

Notable results:

Aldershot 1-0 Everton
Mansfield Town 1-1 Sunderland (Mansfield win on pens)
Charlton 2-1 QPR
Bristol City 4-6 Plymouth

No idea why they were so many byes, plenty of teams could of played each other.

The game has done me tonight. Why does the CPU not sub your players off when they are injured? I had two players injured for the duration of the game. Thats four injuries in two games now. It is annoying even though I played a weak side this evening.

Arsenal vs Manchester United in the next round of the League Cup.

Ah I see it now, cheers.

Bourenmouth. :( Ah well, least it'll give me a chance to play a weak squad and still have a good chance of progressing.

Home ties aren't such a bad thing in this game's financial system. No wages means you get a home game's revenue with no expense beyond ground maintenance. Not quite as good as the TV revenue of a PL side away, but it's still not bad.

You want a young striker on loan? Rated 80 and 17 y/o.

Thanks for the offers, I am able to bring in one more player on loan, so I may take you up on it if they are still available when my next cup tie is coming up. Don't want to take them on right now, as I don't need another rise on my wage bill.

I'm a bit late coming

But I've applied for a vacant job, so bam, hope I can get on it like sonic

Sunderland looking proper interesting now. After getting another 11mill in selling Bramble and Campbell to AI teams. So they have 46mill plus 35 players up for swaps!

Shit for everyone else really as all the remaining 90+ players of interest are going to go.

And they've got bids on a few interesting players who I'm surprised haven't been snapped up already.

Elmohamady has got a bid of 7m on him but it's not been accepted yet. I'll be surprised if MJJ doesn't accept a bid for him as he's probably going to have a bad update when Sunderland do have their ratings reviewed.

I think MJJ will probably wait a while before spending the bulk of it.

Really would have preferred to go that route with Liverpool, but being just one point out of the relegation zone, and seeing what a crap midfield I've got, and all the mediocrities who're likely to get rating drops, I think I need to make some moves now.

If he holds tough, he can snap up Rooney, Kompany etc in just over a month. I'd swap alot of them players with some Spanish League possible risers. Some teams have gone untouched so far who are doing well in La Liga. build up a respectable team then buy high rated players to compete for the big time.

Plus a good few of Liverpools players may well have their ratings reduced. It is the right time to get rid of alot of the deadweight now.

Yeah, that is good thinking. He could get Rooney and/or Kompany but I expect there'll be a lot of competition for those two.

Problem for Excal is the squad is so small that there aren't many he can sell outright. If he wants to do deals it would be best to do part exchanges with the deadweight before tomorrow/Thursday as I think it'll be at some point in the next couple of days that their ratings will be reviewed.

 I'll say that the bids I made today were before I read this.

Knocked out of the shield already :( Lost 3-1 to Notts county, I play the same team in the next round of the cup as well, need a big improvement.

Sunderland bidding on some top talent there. Looks good on paper atleast.

It's a good thing all the best players are being bought, it will force us to negotiate amongst ourselves before season 2m which will make things much more interesting.

Good signing Spurs, 19 year old goalkeeper with that rating! If I actually had any sense before I started this game, I'd have bought him instead of Felipe.
