Gaming The SM RedCafe League

I'm taking a gamble tonight. Starting off with a formation I think is ok, but switch of a different one if losing or drawing at 60 minutes. Not too confident :nervous:

That's fine. :D

By the way, does this work like FM/FML where your team need a bedding period to get used to a new tactic? Or do they just slot in immediately performing the same as always.

Never read anything about a bedding period so I assume they are ready for everything.

Hope not, trying another new tactic tonight.

maniak for next season I'd recommend setting the fatigue for European and friendlies to be on. It's a bit silly with it off. I can just play my first XI every week with hardly any consqeunce. I'm never forced to rotate my team.

I can't see that in the settings, I'm not sure it can be changed.

You have to take into account the fact that players will become unhappy if they don't play and if they reach level 5 they will be transfer listed and your chairman will accept automaticaly any offers.

We're in the beggining so nobody is affected yet, but eventually you'll have to rotate or lose players.

Does anything stop you arranging 4 friendlies a week to play your subs so they don't demand transfers?

I think we should be forced into rotating and planning our squads for our games.

You can't have 4 friendlies per week, there are only two designated days for friendlies.

Thanks KM.

Fair enough, still surely you can just play 2 friendlies a week so the subs and reserves don't complain?

I don't think the friendlies have much (if any) effect on morale.

Got my tactics set for my game tonight. Suicidal tactics from 60 minutes onwards so will be interesting to see how many goals I lose by.

 I never disclose that info. Otherwise my opponent will attack for 60 minutes and then move to a counter when I start to attack them.

Unless you're double bluffing.

No, friendlies have no effect on anything whatsoever.

Does a Div 3 club want a friendly in the next available slot? (I think thats Saturday?) If you do, challenge me and the first team to do so will be accepted :)

Yeah I just saw it in the "Lack of Games" section on that Player Concerns page. It would be stupid if friendlies did have an impact as in reality players wouldn't be happy playing friendlies against Bangkok United or whoever. They want real competitive matches.

Looking forward to kick off in Division 2 (aka The People's Division)

Cardiff City vs. Coventry City
Ipswich Town vs. Leicester City
Nottingham Forest vs. Millwall
Portsmouth vs. Doncaster Rovers
Barnsley vs. Hull City
Peterborough United vs. Middlesbrough
Crystal Palace vs. Brighton and Hove Albion
Birmingham City vs. Derby County
Burnley vs. Leeds United
Bristol City vs. Blackpool

A good chance for Cardiff to get some points on the board. Ipswich will probably keep up their 100% record, and Forest Millwall should be a tasty affair. Think Portsmouth may also remain winless, and I'm hoping Peterborough don't cause a minor upset!

Leeds United Team News

Manager Damien has laughed at Middlesbrough manager Annihilate Now!'s comments that Damien's squad is too thin by bringing a squad of 18 to Turf Moor - none from the youth team (ignore the fact that three of the players in the squad are on loan from other clubs). Inzaghi gets his first start for the club while the rest of his side largely remains unchanged from the game against Bristol City.

Literally only because you just got a last minute loan through... in part thanks to me saying in this thread that you need a loan and you reiterating said fact! You should be bloody thanking me if anything...

John Guidetti is a 19yo 81 rated Dutch Striker I have for loan after he was rudely returned to me.

He's scored 19 goals and got 7 assists all in 20 games for Fayenoord in the Dutch Premier League this season (a goal or assist every 59mins). He's fecking hot property if anyone's willing to give him games.

Wohoo get in! A 2-2 draw with united. Although I did go up 2-0 and fecked up later on in the game  . 2 shots off the post as well :(

Lost again ffs. 1-0 to QPR. Plenty of chances and had better possession, and also at home. I just cant buy a fecking win.

Won 1-0 away at Forest from a penalty. Edged possession 51% to 49%. Only 11 shots in the game, with Forest having the one more. Very even game it seemed.

The march of the Tractor Boys goes on. 4-1 win at home to Leicester. James Forrest continues to set the league alight with a hat-trick of assists.

 You're such a nerd Damo

If it weren't for the fixture images being readily available I probably wouldn't bother doing the team news stuff.

I suppose :p Thanks.

Lost 3-1 away to Bury, after Bury got a red card after 19 minutes and I took the lead 10 minutes later. How the feck did my team lose this one? Stats pretty much even, but I had more shots. Bullshit game.
