Gaming The SM RedCafe League

To teams who are after Álex SERRANO, I can loan him on two conditions and they are as follows:

He needs to play a fair amount.
I should be able to recall him whenever I require (I have a squad of 22 with him included)

Can you ask in the mains thread if any one is willing to loan a player rated 83+ playing in one of these positions:- AM/wings, wings/fwd or dm/cb.

You could always use the manager rating? So in this instance, MJJ's rating is 28/66... and I'm not sure what Melq's is as it's not yet updated to show he's in charge of Doncaster on their Match Preview... but yeah, possible way to decide it in future?

In 'Boro news, Evertone loanee Peybernes has increased by 1... which is good timing as my first choice CB is out for a month.

Melq is a new manager, so he has no rating. But yeah, in case it's 2 managers, the rating is a good way to decide.

I'm top of the league with three wins out of three, so the bloody inbred twats of Ipswich better get themselves to my home game on thursday. If they don't I'll be in debt for the forseeable future.

He hasn't...

I made this point several days ago, I've mentioned it three times :p

He isn't playing. He hasn't logged on since he registered on the 11th!

He's only made two posts in this thread, both on 10th March.

That's really weird. Why the hell does it say he logged in today in the managers list:confused:

I'll send him a pm here in the caf and see what he says.

By the way, I'm sure many people will be interested in managing a Div 1 team, how will we pick it? Rating? Draw? Small application and we decide based on that?

The ammount of games he plays when loaned has no influence at all in his development.

The game sets every loan transfer so you can recall the player whenever you want.

Its a bit too early to judge based on ability. So maybe a multiple randomized draw with elimination.

Thanks that nullifies both my points/concerns. So yeah let the offers come in for loan.

Or go through those who joined the league (division 2-5) in order of first to last and see if they would be interested and see how they've done with their side. There's no point in having someone taking over Sunderland who will spend way beyond their means and put them in a lot of debt.

What Zarlak said would be best, or just have a random draw from those who applied.

I'm all for the mock CV idea... I think the results could be rather humerous.

I won't be applying. Considering I'd be leaving Middlesbrough in a pool of debt, I don't think it would be very fair... plus I'm going for promotion anyway.

I agree, been saying that from when the job Sunderland job potentially was open. Have the interested manager write up an application, as detailed as they want, and then we (the rest of the managers) vote on it.

Have a friendly league for it! Actually maybe that's unfair. Then again they can get loan signings in from teams.

Have a friendly league!

Whatever you guys want to do, do it by end of this weekend.
atleast let them have a shot at transfers before ratings increase.

Also i think if MJJ has a club, he should stick by it.

I'll wait for lastwolf reply to my pm, but just in case he decides to quit, people interested in managing Sunderland can post their applications so we can vote.

 Is there a way of finding out how much they have to spend? I'm sure that's a major reason you want to go for them :p They'll probably have much more than 4-5m.

No idea, but surely they have more then 4-5 mill. Surely I've deserved a shot wiwth sunderland concidering how well ive done with Swansea so far! :D

I havent done very well :( But I've made great progress to the worst squad in probably the 3 highest divisions (transfer budget included!) 8th in the table at the moment :D

 I think that is a bit of an exaggeration there. Peterborough and Carlisle will have made your crew look like billionaires :p

But 8th is a fantastic achievement with the amount of competition in Division 1.

Only 3 games played so far though, with 1 loss, 1 draw and 1 win.. so not really much achieved so far. But still, without a doubt the worst squad and budget in Div 1, and probably amongst bottom 5 in all of the 3 highest leagues.

I'm sure you're higher than that. Looking at your squad I can sort of see why you're putting yourself down, but with that squad you would easily be a contender for the title in Division 2.

I'm talking about my original squad / budget. My current XI is pretty good, but what I was given at the start of the season was very poor in terms of value.

People are pulling you up on your nonsense about having one of the 5 worst squads in the top 3 leagues. I had a decent div 3 side and you shipped out a dozen players with a higher rating than the highest I had to start with (82).

Would definitely be interested in the Sunderland job, have worked wonders at Sheff Wednesday with a 100% record and upped the teams average by about 5 points whilst remaining comfortably in the black. Can't really argue with those credentials, surely?

Blackpool has 83GK and 80CB for loan, they are highly talented prospects and an ITK tells me they can rise by upto +10. Come on folks, help Omar out and send some loan bids.

PS this ITK might or might not be imaginary.

I've lost my first three games by one goal. Tonight I play 88 rated West Ham. I'm rated 77. Fml.

Zarlak is shitting it for tonight.

Let's just hope your team have learnt how to hang on to lead aye ;)

I'm taking on BD94 and Derby County tonight... no idea why I have a friendly with someone in my own division... but alas, I'm giving some of my fringe a run around, and seeing how others cope in "weaker" positions.
