Gaming The SM RedCafe League

Everton/Liverpool I've put a loan offer in for one of your players each. I chose a player who was on of your worse in that position so there is less chance you'd need them. I really need some backup and a mid 80 player on loan would be ideal.

Got a Euro game against Hannover tonight, not paid for the extra control thingy so the assistant will be looking after it all.

MJJ (currently managing Bournemouth in Div 3) and Melq are both interested in managing Doncaster in Div 2.

Should I make a draw to see who gets it?

Also someone applied in-game but since I received no pm I'll have to ignore it.

Is the Sunderland manager actually playing? Thought his team was up for grabs...

 they are all 75% fit, if I played them they'd be fecked for my next 2 league games.

Omar of Blackpool is a legend. Just PM'd me to point out fitness doesnt matter in europe. Changed the team again with 2 minutes to spare

thanks again omar.

taking a gamble tonight against hamburg. my team is fecked fitness wise, so the reserves getting an outing. my team rating is 84, Hamburgs is 87 and I'm away from home. Lucky to pull a draw here.

Mr A, fitness neither has any effect or is effected for European games!

Is it confirmed for fitness, that if they are 65% they will play like 100%, or that 65% will play like 65% but will not drop any lower?

It says on the tactics screen that condition isn't taken into account, so definitely without doubt they play as if fully fit.

Here's the exact wording:

  • Suspended and Injured players cannot play.
  • Players conditions are not taken into account or reduced during the game.
  • Players cannot get injured.

Fair enough, strikes me as wrong that, not that you're wrong, but that the way it's done is wrong. Surely condition in all your games will determine your managers skill in rotation and test depth over superstar 11 etc.

Yeah it does seem weird. Considering the fact that gate receipts and other money still applies to the rest of the game it seems unusual that players' condition does not.

Not complaining though :)

Drew 2-2 v Hannover. Got a nice £1,200,000 income from it though.

According to robocops calculator, my start of next season cash balance is $41,553,356.

You sure you didn't put seasonal gate receipts instead of turn? That doesnt even include European games FFS

Leeds United Announcement

Leeds United are proud to announce they have loaned rising starlet Jacopo Sala to Division 4 side Oxford United for the season.

"We wish the player, the club and manager rahim10 every success this season and we're positive Sala will be a great addition to their side." said Leeds United manager Damien.

Sheesh, even in cyber-football, Park is in rubbish form. From my other league:

2' Yellow Card BOOKED - After raising his arms Ji-Sung PARK receives an instant caution
7' Ji-Sung PARK arrives in the box but doesn't reach the pass
32' Somehow an easy tap-in from Ji-Sung PARK goes wide
33' A delicate chip from Ji-Sung PARK crashes back off the bar
71' Red Card RED CARD - The referee is left with no option Ji-Sung PARK has to go after bringing down the striker whilst being the last man

Beat Inter 4-2. Inter's teamsheer was funny:

GK: M FULOP ()
DR: MAICON
DL: R BERTRAND
DC: W REID
DC: P MCCARTHY ()
MC: M CARRICK
MC: S BERETTA
MC: J PARK
RW: D MILITO
LW: C VELA
ST: R SANTA CRUZ

Also, I got 2m from that match. 1.3m in the green now

25' David DE GEA punches the ball clear for a corner
31' David DE GEA dives to his left and makes a great save! Thats one for the cameras!
32' An excellent strike is tipped over the bar by David DE GEA
73' David DE GEA pushes it wide of the post with his finger tips!

Beast.

86' Sergio BUSQUETS probes around the area to try and find an opening.

Here's how Cahill has done so far in the league:

Turn 1: Blackpool 0 - 2 Leeds United

5' BOOKED - Gary CAHILL is booked for an off-the-ball incident
75' GOAL!! - Receiving the ball on the right Gary CAHILL skips inside his marker and curls in a shot from 25 yards!
89' Gary CAHILL latches onto a through ball and races towards the goal, but the linesmans flag stops him in his tracks

Turn 2: Leeds United 3 - 0 Cardiff City

13' BOOKED - Gary CAHILL for blocking an opponents run
33' Gary CAHILL hits a shot that is cleared off the line
87' Great vision and passing by Gary CAHILL

Turn 3: Leeds United 1 - 1 Bristol City

3' BOOKED - After raising his arms Gary CAHILL receives an instant caution
73' After twisting and turning with the ball Gary CAHILL is finally tackled

I've got a feeling that he won't be at the top of the fair play league come the end of the season.

MJJ sent me this pm:

Oh and if instead of doing a coin toss or something similar you are choosing I would like to mention that after I took over my team average increased from 77 to 81. After being ranked in the bottom 3 of the league I am now ranked 9th. So you can be assured that I will take an active part in the management of doncaster and not ignore the game.

Would really like some opinions.

To be fair it's not really hard to take over a team and increase their average rating by doing some player exchange transfers to external clubs.

But at least it proves he'll be an active manager. Maybe ask the other guy why he should get it and make an independent decision. Or get them to both to make a mini application and we chose in here?

I know MJJ and he would be very active, but it would be unfair of me to give an opinion given Melq hasn't been on the site that long and I know nothing about him.

Like WR has said, it's not hard to increase a teams average rating but as for deciding who to give the position to, it's a tough one.

Well, I decided to make a draw and Melq was selected.

I'll do this from now on unless we can come up with a colective decision and define a modus operandis for this.

You could always use the manager rating? So in this instance, MJJ's rating is 28/66... and I'm not sure what Melq's is as it's not yet updated to show he's in charge of Doncaster on their Match Preview... but yeah, possible way to decide it in future?

In 'Boro news, Evertone loanee Peybernes has increased by 1... which is good timing as my first choice CB is out for a month.

Well he has made logins, so I assume so. Not making transfers might be a choice...

He hasn't...

I made this point several days ago, I've mentioned it three times :p

He isn't playing. He hasn't logged on since he registered on the 11th!

He's only made two posts in this thread, both on 10th March.
