Far Cry

Did anyone else not know there is a Far Cry film...? Anyway it's pretty pants, I wouldn't bother.
 
Sex Drive - 3/10
Dull,and predictable, but there are some funny moments there....


Tropic Thunder - 3/10
Not so good as some guys in here make out.
 
Memento was good. Watched Usual Suspects as well which is also good, though the ending was slightly ruined for me by that 118 advert thing that sponsors films on channel 4.
 
The hurt Locker Didn't know anything about this movie but I thought it was absolutely brilliant. 8/10
 
Department 36.

French movie. I usually don't like police movies... but this one was very very good. I highly recommend it.

It goes smooth, actors are pretty good, nice background music allover. 8/10

Yeah Pulp Fiction is fantastic, do they really call it a royale with cheese in france?
 
State of play

Pretty good

Russell Crowe, very good performance. Affleck, not the greatest but passable.

Rachel Mcadams was good and it was refreshing to see a male and female lead not having the obligatory romance for a change.

I didn't see the BBC show that this was based on so I can't compare it but I thought it was a 3 out of 5 for me.
 
Haunting in Connecticut

For the first hour it bored me, aparently based on a true story but how many similar true storys are there! nothing in it seemed original. Seemed to get better towards the end, but by no means great.

Borat

I've seen this before but saw it in hmv for 3 quid, bought it and watched it last night. Still as funny 3rd time round - I know his humour isn't to everyones liking but I love it! Looking forward to Bruno!

Sex & Lucia, it's a very sensual movie, as you probably can read from the title, of Lorenzos stages and imagination on how he writes his book. Ruined because of an earlier incident in his life he goes strolling around with the innocent Lucia which the movie is kinda told through.

Male frontal nudity is a no-no, but if I can watch Salo, I can also watch it in this for a couple of minutes. Some beautiful scenery which also matched good cinematography. Its a good story, but I thought Lucia could do with more depth. But instead of depth we got sex, like the title promises. I guess it was their intention. So, just to say what I say whenever people ask me about this movie when spotting the disc, It's not porn 7/10
 
I love you man. Pretty decent film. Quite a few good belly laughs, a nice ending for the ladies, and a few immature jokes for the lads. 7.5/10
 
Wendy and Lucy Slow paced but interesting indie style film about disenfranchisement and isolation. If it sounds gloomy that is because it is a bit. Enjoyable but too short at 1 hr 20 minutes and it feels like they just forgot to film an end. 6/10

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button Looks great, well acted, great aging special effects but ultimately overly long slow and pointless. 7/10
 
watched Inkheart the other night in bed, good family yarn, very enjoyable
 
He wasn't hugely impressed with Monsters vs Aliens either. He liked it quite a bit but not as much as you would expect from the hype.

Interesting remake, with Michael Caine switching roles from the one he played in '72. He had great chemistry with Jude Law, both were brilliant.
 
Just went an watched The Haunting in Conneticuit. Not scary, not interesting, not worth the ticket really. The main boy was quite good and the girl was fit...other than that, waste of time
