Where is he? He doesn't seem to talk about gaming much. Miss his excitement for upcoming games.

So, I need a new computer desk, as my big corner thing just isn't big enough. I need room to have my keyboard & mouse, 2x 27 inch monitors, 1x 24 inch montior in portrait, two normal sized bookshelf speakers, and a place to put the PC.
Thinking about just buying a long table.
Any recommendations?
Build one yourself. Honestly!
My home office is awkwardly corner-shaped too, so I gave up looking for the perfect desk and just had at it myself. I'm no woodworker and generally shit at making things but was quite proud with when I ended up with
This is something else I've been toying with. Could just buy a couple of fence posts, cut them to the right height, and slam an old work top on top to end up with something huge!
Geekdesk. That way you can raise it up and play/work whilst standing up instead of sitting down all the time. So, I need a new computer desk, as my big corner thing just isn't big enough. Sam and Max Hit the Road?Guys, help me identify a game I've just remembered for some reason!
Sadly I don't have a lot of information on the game in question. I'll bullet point what I do remember.
- Point and click game
- Main character is an animal of some kind, I want to say a fox, but wouldn't be certain
- I believe I played it on Windows 98, so it's going to be around late 90's. Might have been Windows 3.11, but I doubt it.
- If I remember rightly, if you went left from the start of the game you'd end up at the entrance to a fairground or amusement park of some kind. If you went right you'd very quickly encounter some enemies (I think there was a weapon available at the start which required you to go to the fairground for some reason - but not sure on that one)
- Had the typical point and click options, "pick up" "look at" "talk to", that sort of thing. I definitely remember if you tried "pick up" on a female NPC, the game would say something like "this is a game for all the family" (that's massively paraphrased)
Long shot, I know, but fingers crossed somebody can help me out here.
Sam and Max Hit the Road?
Ah, I don't know of any others like that with an animalVery similar, actually, in terms of appearance. There was only one main character in this though. I think it was probably aimed at a younger audience as well, as I'd have been about 8-11 when playing this.
Jesus, Fade To Black! If ever there was a game that needed a remaster/remake.
Incredibly awkward to play game, but there was something about it...
I swear that jump over the electric panel in like the first 5 minutes(room 3 maybe) is one of the hardest moments in any game ever.I never got anywhere in that game. Those controls..

Yeah, I remember it getting high scores, gotta imagine it's dated horrifically, too, though!Yeah, I remember that. That was some NES Ninja Turtles swimming level bullshit.
As I recall it Fade to Black got rave reviews at the time, but seems quite forgotten these days.
I didn't realise you play Soul Calibur with @Cina.....I even struggled to beat that gimp bloke in Soul Calibur, so my thread-input is fraggin' useless as per.
I inherited a Gamecube from somebody's house move. Problem is, it has no power cable, one fake controller (actually had two controllers, but bizarrely, one was a megadrive controller ) and no tv cable. I'm going to hit ebay and try and get all the bits. Might have to find some of my old favourite games too.
Used to love the gamecube
I was going to reply but forgot.Nobody cared, but I got my cables today. Can't wait to go and test it all out
Nice choices! Especially TS2. I would recommend Future Perfect but the Gamecube version seems to be quite expensive (for a game of that generation) last time I checked. At the moment, I have need for speed underground which was inside the machine. I also ordered Rogue Squadron 2 when I ordered the cables, so hopefully I can get that one running tonight.
If it all works ok, I'll be seeking out Timesplitters 2, Burnout 2 and Beach Spikers next. Then I'll wait for reasonably priced Nintendo classics, such as Luigi's Mansion, Double Dash, Mario Sunshine etc.

The second one is so good. I played Future Perfect for the first time a few months ago on the PS2 and it was great. Not as good as #2, but still really good.I never actually played Future Perfect. I sank hours and hours into Timesplitters 2 though.
Never saw that, but hopefully you're right.Looks too much like the patent to be real, IMO.
I imagine it would have the real name of the console on there too, which they'd want to show rather than block it out, which is presumably what the stickers are supposed to be covering up.Never saw that, but hopefully you're right.
It's exactly what I'd imagine would happen if they got a Vita, removed all the stuff people like, and squashed it to a third of the size.
