Yeah the dungeons are fun, but everything between that is just a bit pants. The dialog, the city... I don't know. It's hard for a place like that to be immersive after Novigrad :D

I've been playing Undertale the past few days, loved it. I can't get me head around how talented one person can be to design a game with a completely different concept to your usual RPG, write the story AND make all of the music for it pretty much on his own. One of my favourite soundtracks in a game, it's brilliant.

I'm pretty sure there are around 20 hours of gameplay in that city alone.

Sadly it seems The Witness is topping the torrenting lists.

I wonder how many of those people stealing it moan about the lack of innovation in gaming?
Just saw it on psn, and it is priced way too high IMO.

4000 bucks here in India, which is around 60 dollars.

I agree on the pricing.

However, and obviously I don't mean you here (unless you are also a dirty hypocritical thief ;)), I don't think I personally should dictate what someone who has worked for 7 or so years on something should charge and I also wouldn't use that as justification to just take it for free.

It's the biggest DRM free game out there right now, so it's unsurprising, but still unfortunate.

Guys, which order would you put these in?

Killzone Shadowfall
Batman Arkham Knight
Infamous Second Son

And is any of them not worth playing?

Just got a PS4 and don't have the games I really want to play, yet, like Bloodborne, Witcher and Fallout.

Shadowfall is a pretty unspectacular tech demo. It isn't a bad game, but it's not going to blow your mind.

I don't like the Infamous games, and I'm yet to play AK.

None of them are particularly my kind of games.

I liked the first two batman games but the first 15 minutes of this one were terrible with far too much full throttle hand holding action, and batmobile nonsense. It looks fantastic though especially given its the first game I started playing on a gen console

I actually didn't like any of them, though lots of people do seem to like Infamous. The three you mentioned are far better. Would also add Far Cry to the list.

Batman is probably the best, Infamous after that, and Killzone fairly far behind, it's painfully average despite being a really beautiful game, which was a real shame as I thought it was going to be a cracker.

Bloodborne and the Witcher absolutely curbstomp all three, though, they're so far beyond it's almost funny.

Can't believe I've not played Bloodborne yet. Going to start replaying Demon's Souls today, before maybe redoing DkS1 for DkS3.

Just saw XCOM was like 3 quid on steam so bought that. Used to really enjoy and RTS so hopefully can have some fun with it.

I haven't had internet access for over a week (still haven't properly) so I decided to spend that time playing some of my unplayed games, and so far have played through Deus Ex Human Revolution. I have to say I liked it a lot, really fun IMO.

I really enjoyed Batman and Infamous

Killzone was pretty poor

Cheers. I'll probably focus on batman and infamous for now.

yup its a shame

and some excuses seems to be the price point....€40 for a 40 hour extremely smart puzzle game sounds more than fair to me

70 hours for a completionist.

"But but it's an indie puzzle game!!!!:!£?!£" seems to be the only argument people have.

That being said, I'm waiting for a lower price myself. Not because I feel the game is overpriced, but because these games can be hit & miss for me, and I don't wanna drop £30 on something I might not like, even with the refund issue.

Still, that's no excuse for piracy. I've not pirated a game since the PS1  And let's be honest, everyone pirated games on that.

They need to make that compatible with Dark Souls, the amount of times people probably think, "feck this game anyway".

Now they can!

Not sure if it'll sell so well if people have to either parry to penetrate from the front, or position themselves just so in order to perform a backstab.

I remember a few on here saying they were looking for a realistic WWII game - I saw this Kickstarter project on NeoGaf:

Could be interesting...

I need a game to get stuck into.

Post-MGSV, I'm a bit of a bored gamer.

As posted here, I tried Gemini Rue. Yeah, it was nice and all but not something that dragged me into the experience. Something I'll probably play once in awhile when I'm in the mood. Tried Escapist and it was alright.

Any indie suggestions? Last run of indie games I went on was fantastic, where I played Hotline Miami (brilliant), Bastian (very good), Grow Home (excellent) etc.

Is Mark of a Ninja worth giving lots of time to? I played an hour of it, and liked it, but wasn't sure whether it was worth investing loads of time into.

I've played a few good indie games recently.
Ori and the Blind Forest is great and my goty last year. Its a metroidvania, really polished and well put together. Some very hard platforming bits / bosses.

Transistor is made by the same people as bastion. The sword can feck off with his stupid voice but i enjoyed it a lot despite that.

The Fall - its a puzzle game that i dont want to tell you anything about because i'd kind of ruin it. Its quite short (like 3/4 hours) so maybe best to wait for it on sale but a really interesting storyline. Its quite slow paced and somewhat similar to flashback or something like that.

Jotun - brilliant, really pretty looking. Kind of explores norse mythology. Its a kind of top down, old school zelda type view, action game.
The bosses are huge, it looks great and the difficulty is set at a good spot. Bosses are tough but manageable and beating them feels like ... an achievement for lack of a better word.

Heres a trailer

cool, i'll give the first one a bash over the next few days and then get 2 when I'm done :)

Pity these posts weren't in reverse order lol

Finally got myself a copy of GTA V. Fingers crossed it's better than the last couple.

Should've gone for the PS4, mate. If you want in on the next Deus Ex, and all.

At any rate, have fun with GTA V. I couldn't finish IV because it just didn't sustain my interest, and I started with strong skepticism when it came to V because of the three protagonist thingy, which seemed a bit gimmicky. It's not, and the missions are varied and they did a great job stacking the characters with throwaway lines that they use during appropriate times. Shit just feels right :)

I finished IV but not San Andreas (barely even started it).

Yeah the multiple characters seem like it might be pretty cool. I hope I don't have to switch to the dog too often though, that might get annoying

Is there any snow in the game like the intro mission? It'd be cool to drive around in that weather rather than it just being sunny all the time.
