How did you mod it? I'd have been shitting myself messing with something that cost that much
I modded it for NTSC games and RGB output through UK tvs. The Snes was for full screen @60hz as opposed to the bordered PAL shite we got. I've done all sorts on other machines, but not as bad as one of my old workmates who blew up a £10k Gamecube dev kit fecking around with it

That sounds more like it.So, out of all the kinds of mods, how hard are the AV ones? EG: This one.
Has anyone played Sunless Sea? I had been meaning to play it for ages and after reading the New Yorker rate it as the most memorable game of 2015, I decided to give it a go. Played 10 hours straight yesterday after booting it up for the first time. A well-written, captivating and atmospheric indie game.
Had it in my wishlist for ages, but something keeps putting me off.
Has anyone else never played a Kojima game? With all the hype around him recently I was thinking that apart from about five minutes of MGS2 I haven't played any of his games.
Well Olly are arse cameras and hours of bad exposition your thing ? Then Mr Kojima is the go to man.
No but really MGS 1(Twin Snakes on the gamecube is the most acceptable version) is well worth picking up although it's worth a ton(Well around £50)on ebay and the most recent is Metal Gear is one of the best and worst game this year(Also hear good things about MG3 but haven't played it.)The rest of the Metal Gear series is complete shite of the highest order. The guy has got great ideas but badly..... badly needs a editor.
Still interested to see what he does next.

Can't believe the prices it's going for, at one stage I had two copies of that fecking game(Sold it for dirt cheap along with about 50 others because I wanted a PS2 and PES 5). The best way I can describe a Hideo Kojima game is image watching Pulp Fiction except it's not written and directed by Quentin Tarantino but by Ron Jeremy.

No it wouldn't, its clearly the witcher 3. Anyone who says otherwise is wrong and should be strapped to a rocket and shot into outer space
Hmmm, Bloodborne is kind of in with a shout too, but I'd probably give it to Witcher, so much fun, style, variety.

I clocked it, and you spend the first 800 hours of MGSV sitting in a hospital bed. With optional nurse cleavage perving. Then you spend another 800 running around a hospital with a blokes exposed ass crack zoomed into at every opportunity while trying to escape some kind of Sauron knockoff.
Yeah the HD collection is a good idea, forgot about that.

Unfortuantely unless it has Pokemon in the title, I can't be doing with turn-based battles and random encounters, so I'm not familiar with those two (three).

What's Metal Gear Rising like? Looks like it might be more my kind of Metal Gear game (yes I know it's not a "proper" Metal Gear game) with my whole thing about gameplay > anything else > story.
It's incredible. It may not have the bottomless depth that Bayonetta has, but it's still very difficult to master, & immensely satisfying to pull off.
The Steam Winter Sale starts on Dec. 22nd, so it might be worth waiting until then.

If I get it (which I most likely will) I'll get it on the 360, since it seems to be around £2 (AKA, my sweet spot) for a preowned copy. I doubt my computer could run it properly anyway even if I wanted to get it on there

Fair enough! The dialog, facial animations, music, characters... It's all so cheesy Die Hard on speed - WITH ROBOTS! Can't recommend it enough.

Definitely sounds worth getting based on that description I've got Bayonetta 2 and Ninja Gaiden II (Xbox 360) waiting for me to play, so maybe I can go on a hack 'n' slash frenzy with those three!

Love them all. He's one of the most influential game developers but probably not to your liking given he played a big part in "cinematization" of games, and his games are never of the pick-up-and-play, but rather a mix of stealth gameplay, and over-the-top highly stylized cut-scenes and story.
I like stealth gameplay, so it's a rather unfortunate combination for me.
