If your fan hadn't started kicking up after being that old then that might be why it broke. I've vacuumed it loads of times and it doesn't help. It's not too bad because at least it works and I check the air that comes out is warm so I know it's actually pushing out heat and not just making noise for no reason.

It's a shame that PS3's are still so pricey because I would have just bought another if it was under £99.

I don't really know how much they are these days. I would have thought that you could get one for around that price now, especailly with all the different models they've released.

The last model they released was the 'Super Slim' which came as either 12gb flash memory (so you have to put your own hard drive in) or 500gb. I've checked the prices a couple of times recently and the 12gb seems to go for £120 and the 500gb £150. Prices have remained high because sony would rather have people move onto the PS4 I guess.

Ah right.

I hardly ever really feel like using mine much anyway, so if I can't fix it I'll probably just wait until I can get a cheap used one for £20 or something.

I'm looking to sell my PS3, but stores here have stopped buying them for cash, so will look at putting it on ebay or marktplaats (Dutch equivalent).

It's a fat PS3 (not launch version) with a 500GB hard drive that I added and about 60 games.

Will check what sort of prices they are...

After my slighly rubbish post about Silent Hills and Xbox 'Billions'. I will now try and redeem myself but posting a hopeful Xbox One future title

p.s. Thank God for Jim Fecking Sterling Son

The new XCOM game is a PC exclusive, aiming for release later this year (November).

I decided to go back and play some of my many unplayed games, and so far have been playing Burnout 2. I hadn't played any Burnout games prior to this one, but I'm enjoying it, it's a lot of fun.

Burnout 2 on the gamecube claimed far too many hours of my life. Those crash challenge levels were great fun.

Considering the quality of the remaster of TLOU on PS4, this should be brilliant.

Some of the screenshots from the original game are stunning :)

New Platinum game to be revealed next week. My fave Japanese devs (alongside Nintendo and [old] Squaresoft) <3 Go go, Kamiya!

Steam sale starts today... My wishlist for it?

Crypt of the Necrodancer (50% off or better)
Dark Souls II SotFS (50% off or better)

That's pretty much it :)

I'd like Cities:Skylines at 50% or better.

GTA V would be cool too, but that might be too soon.

I've bought 2 new games these last few days. First one was Far Cry 4, which doesn't need much introducing since it's kind of new. I love it though, such a fun game to just run around in and kill enemies in different ways.

The other one is Roller Coaster Tycoon, the first one with expansion packs. Loved it when I was a kid, and saw it was €5.99 on Steam so I bought it. Having a lot of fun with it so far, and it's running really smooth on Windows 8 which I didn't expect, but then I'm not used on buying games on Steam, so maybe that's what one should expect these days.

Bought C:S at launch, but it didn't quite click for me. I guess I'm just not a fan of the genre :)

GTA5 will be £20 at best.

RCT is an awesome series :) Played the hell outta 1+2 after the Theme Hospital addiction finally ended.

Hmm is Theme Hospital on Steam? Awesome game that. The announcing lady is the best.

Just remember - Coughs and sneezes spread diseases. It still plays really well to this day :)

Prison Architect is available at 75% off. Should I go for it?

If it's not a daily/flash deal, it should go cheaper. It's worth it at 75% off, but it might be worth waiting to knock another quid off :)

PS: The Oculus Rift press event is fecking terrible

Not for a while. I'm pretty sure it's still in early access, but it was ready to come out of that like a year ago. They just keep adding content to it :)

Holy feckin' crap!!!! Suikoden 3 is on the PSN!

PS3 only, but I don't care, I'll dig it out....

Also, hearing rumours of a new Suikoden, but they have to be fake, what with Konami cutting back, and the original Suikoden team dispersed ages ago.

Just playing Wonder Boy 3: Monster Lair. Didn't give it a fair chance last time I popped it in the Mega Drive and didn't really enjoy it much because the controller I was using was playing up, but I have to say it's a pretty fun game, I'm enjoying it quite a bit. The music is great, too;

Wonder Boy in Monster World, was one of my favourite games, the only one I had ever played. Played it on an emulator not long back, still enjoyed it.
