Anyone picking up Wolfenstein The Old Blood? Should be a good dose of shoot 'em up for 20 euro.
Putting to rest months of cryptic tweets from Tony Hawk, Activision and developer Robomodo have officially announced Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 – a return to the classic gameplay of the series' heyday.
The game is slated to come out on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One later in the year, with PS3 and Xbox 360 versions following shortly thereafter.
As the name indicates, Pro Skater 5 is a call back to the old-school lineage of the first four titles – back when the franchise was in its prime. The game weds the series' finely tuned gameplay with new additions such as power-ups and the ability to shoot projectiles for specific missions.

Wouldn't surprise me if extra power ups are available as micro-transactions.
Western RPG, so Skyrim and such, I guess. I've never played any either, but it was sitting in my GOG account for ages, got it for free when you could log in every day and collect a token towards it.Never played any Witcher games. What other games do they play similarly to?
Ah right, cool.Western RPG, so Skyrim and such, I guess. I've never played any either, but it was sitting in my GOG account for ages, got it for free when you could log in every day and collect a token towards it.
EDIT: I have the old Dungeon Keeper game there too, and Beneath A Steel Sky is amongst their free games, both need to be played too.
They have good stories, especially the second game. They don't have companions thought, you're solo for the entire games. Are The Witcher games lore/story heavy? Never played 1 & 2 since they were Xbox exclusive but 3 is coming out on PS4 and it looks cool but I'm guessing I'd be lost with plot and characters.
Can you pick up handily enough without having played the first one? They have good stories, especially the second game. They don't have companions thought, you're solo for the entire games.
Yep. You can easily get the story of the second game without playing the first one. Only some small references you won't get, but then again, the same can be said for the first one (there are references to the books). Can you pick up handily enough without having played the first one?

Cheers! I have the 2nd one. I can always go back to the first later.Yep. You can easily get the story of the second game without playing the first one. Only some small references you won't get, but then again, the same can be said for the first one (there are references to the books).
I would recommend to play both of them, but I don't think that either of them is really great. The first one has a slightly better gameplay, the second one is better in every other aspect (story, graphics, no need to spend countless hours in grinding etc). If you play only one of them, then go for the second.
The second game isn't that long as far as I can remember. 30-35 hours or so. The first game is twice as long.Played a bit of this, very interesting, really like it. Story quickly becomes very good. I sucked at the tutorials so, so bad.
I've only just reached the prologue though, something tells me it's going to be a tad long....
I couldn't get into it personally, might be more enjoyable for those who played the original series.Quoting from the screenshot thread...
Is Thief any good? Is it like Dishonored at all?
Ah right. I might check it out but when it's even cheaper then.I couldn't get into it personally, might be more enjoyable for those who played the original series.

I'll be a lot longer than 3 hours, still in Flotsam, ffs on easy and two bastard ghosts just handed my arse to me.The second game isn't that long as far as I can remember. 30-35 hours or so. The first game is twice as long.

It's garbage.
If you can, play original Thief and sequel, Theif: The Metal Age, those are divine.
Olly, have you played System Shock 2? It is an old game (1998() but it is definitely one of the best stealth games of all time (probably second only to original Deus Ex). I mentioned it on an steam thread, but for the next 5 hours you can get in on Humble Bundle for 89 cents.Quoting from the screenshot thread...

If I'm thinking of the right game then I think I played it a year or two ago, but I got stuck in a hole and gave up I'll give it another go some time for sure.Olly, have you played System Shock 2? Cool stuff, will doFan support for them is still going strong, so, if it happens that you like them, really should try some fan missions as well. Fantastic stuff there as well.
I was massively disappointed in it. Dumbed down, too linear, terrible terrible story,...Dishonoured was much better (still far from original Thieves).
A Kickstarter for a new Castlevania type game from Koji Igarashi has just been launched - https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/iga/bloodstained-ritual-of-the-night
It is rather cheesetasticThat may be the cheesiest video I've ever seen!
A thread on NeoGaf about backlogs just inspired me to count mine. From the ones I've just seen, I own 103 games that I've never played a single second of
Count yours! And list them allUgh, don't! I have at least that many from the 90's alone
