Got Zone of the Enders today. Saw it in the shop and had a slight feeling it was one of those niche/slightly valuable games so picked it up thinking it was a bit of a bargain. Alas, it isn't. Still meant to be good though, so it's alright anyway.
The 360 FPS or the top down RPG?
Shadowrun arrived today (well, yesterday now) so I've been playing it for a few hours. I'm enjoying it so far. It took me a little while to get going and figure stiff out, but once I got going it's good.
The bit I got up to before I stopped playing is the countdown to my head exploding, so that's a bit of a bummer.
It's oozing style and atmosphere isn't it
The other day when I was playing Shadowrun I was a bit stuck, and it's only because the internet wasn't working at the time that I couldn't look up any info. Glad I couldn't though, figuring it out by myself is much better.I get terrible feelings of guilt when I use t'internet to help me through part of a game I'm stuck on.
Although without it, I would never have got to the end of quite a lot of games.......
I agree, beating a game without looking things up is much more satisfying. Sometime I can't help it, but I do feel like I'm not playing properly though if I do

I spent ages on one 'riddler trophy' on Arkham city. The solution was a real cop-out, though.....
I managed the majority without cheating!I think I had to look up some of those online when I was playing Arkham Asylum, there was no way I was going to figure out some of them by myself. I haven't played Arkham City yet, I'll see if I can find all the trophies on that one without looking them up at all. Don't think I'll succeed though
I'll try my best!I managed the majority without cheating!
I found that if there are some you can't get, just be patient. As you unlock more gadgets in the get, you can get the trophies.
It's a great game, I've just bought 'Origins' but haven't started it yet.
I'm similar...rarely play 'brand new' games.I'll try my best!
I'm a bit behind as you've probably guessed, so I'll likely get round to getting/playing Origins in about 2017.
Yeah me too. Especially when the majority of them can be bought preowned on Amazon for £2 a couple of years later.I'm similar...rarely play 'brand new' games.
I'm just about to start Uncharted 2 for example.....
I never had Weaste down as a gamer....
Anyway, I've got Uncharted 2 lined up, then I've got either Bioshock Infinite or (long overdue) Metal Gear Solid 4 to have a bash at.
Nah he isn't. Well, maybe he is a little bit... it's a bit complicated TBH.I never had Weaste down as a gamer....
Steps:
Go to the webstore https://store.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com/
Search for the PS3 version, and "buy" the demo.
Then search for the Vita version and "buy" its demo too.
Go back to the PS3 version and add the complete version to the cart. It should show up as free when you go to the cart and once you redeem that one you automatically get the Vita version as well.
I remember when I used to buy gaming magazines as a kid for hints on games. The one I remember the most was with all of the maps for the dungeons in Zelda a link to the past. I kind of miss the days when you couldn't just look stuff up on the internet though. When you actually got past what you were stuck on it was so satisfying. I try my best not to on games now, but sometimes I don't have the willpower or the patience not to.
The last game I did it for was The Swapper. I needed help with one of the puzzles and tried for about 2 hours over and over, but I couldn't figure it out. It was the only puzzle I looked up help for, but when I finished the game I didn't feel the same sense of achievement because of it.
Infinite is so-so, a great story though.
You don't so much play Mgs4 as you do watch it.
I've only ever seen redlambs slam it. It's widely regarded as a top quality game by mostJust finished Bioshock Infinite. Really enjoyed it and was expecting much worse since I've seen a lot of people slam it. The atmosphere and story is top notch, gameplay is nothing special I suppose, but I found myself happy enough with it.
Guess I'll play the DLC and then move onto finally trying to finish Arkham City, Dark Souls and Divinity: Original Sin.

Yeah, gameplay is generic as feck but it's still brilliant thanks to it's story.
Well for me the story couldn't save the game, the incredibly reptitive gameplay with endless streams of cookie cutter enemies was just too much. The game world lacked depth and continuity, it felt like a series of battle arenas, as opposed to Rapture which felt like such a believable place. There was also no justification for the vigors, they were just in the game because Bioshock had plasmids. It was a huge step back from the original Bioshock.
Very much agree with the battle arenas critique.
But other than the story it's It's certainly one of the best looking games I've ever seen. I really like the art style.
No disputes on the art style. The world itself is dull and flat though from an interaction perspective.
My Japanese copy of Kirby's Dream Course arrived yesterday and I've been playing it quite a bit tonight. It's fun as hell. Some parts are a bit frustrating the first few times, but it's so satisfying when you do it
Awesome! I've still got the Amiga version, loved it
