Gaming The RedCafe General/Random Gaming Chat Thread

Anyone know the Pokemon game for PC which is the standard story but it's online so you can meet other online players on the way?

Go say it in the Wii U and Mario Kart threads.

The Darkness 1 is awesome, very underrated game. The sequel is dumbed down shite, big time.

Cool, I've bought the first one. It looks good from a couple of videos that I watched. Looked quite atmosphere which is always nice.

I finally got a Wii-U btw ;)

:(

I'll get one... sometime.

I watched some of Video Games: The Movie last night (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3214002/)

Haven't finished watching it, and although I think it could have been made / structured better, it was v cool to see so many old games that I played when I was younger!

With that in mind, what are people's first memories of video games / the first one they remembered playing?

Mine was:

The Video Game Awards are tonight. Anyone gonna watch it? It seems to be the VGX replacement. Those were fecking trash though, but there will probably be some interesting reveal about new games.

Anyone got any good recommendations for stealth games like Dishonored? I haven't finished that yet, but I'm always looking for games to keep in mind for the future :)

I've already played Arkham Asylum which was great, and have Arkham City that I need to play some time.

Bonus points for games you can play the whole way through without killing anyone.

Deus Ex Human Revolution? Stealth, can play through without killing.

If you think Dishonored is stealth, you need to give up right now. Especially since you thought it was harder than Manhunt and stuff like that

For shame dude :(

 I did?

If you're going by what I said in the Dishonored thread it wasn't that I was finding it hard, just a bit annoying at times, though I think that was mostly by me using the wrong powers at the wrong times

EDIT: Is it not stealth at all? It seems like it to me with all the hiding and not alerting enemies by making noises etc.

Yeah, I echo the new Deus Ex shouts, although I didn't actually complete it myself. But other than that Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes comes out soon and it'll be on the Xbox 360, but MGS is nothing like Dishonoured or Thief or anything like that. Actually, no point me describing it to you as you've probably played it before. But if you haven't it's definitely worth checking out if you're into stealth.

 Nope I've not played it. The only Metal Gear Solid I've ever played was about five minutes of the second one.

Never really fancied checking out the series further though. It seems to be all army and military type stuff, and I've never really big on that kind of stuff at all.

Aw okay. It is sort of military stuff, but it's still quite different from all that. It's hard to explain to be honest (or well I'm shit at explaining things). It's a fantastic game though. It's Japanese.

Well I've still got the second one, so I'll try that again some time and see if I can get into it and see what all the fuss is about :)

The second one is my favourite, but a lot of original fans hated it.
My favourite is still part one on ps (never played the originals on the nes)

Part 2 was ok. And I replYed it recently on vita and it still held up quite well.

I had never played part 3. And I tried to get into it on the vita version but I couldn't at all. I really disliked it

Part 4 I think is not fun at all

Don't remember much from the first game, except fighting Revolver Ocelot and Psycho Mantis

I've never played part 3 either, and like a year or two ago I rented the remastered editions for Xbox 360 and I couldn't get into it too. Supposed to be the best one though. Well up there with the first anyway.

Just finished it, thought it was pretty damn cool. It got pretty dark at the end though, so I'm guessing I killed way too many people

I should probably get some sleep now :boring:
Nice one, Olly.

Here's a victory song I know you'll like. That Reloaded group make some damn cool retro style tunes that you can play during the installation process. I know this because I reported many of them of course.

That was cool :)

I remember about 9-10 years finding out about keygen music, some of them were awesome.

Booted up my PS3 after its 4 month hibernation. Downloading Mirror's edge and hopefully it will be done after I come back home,
