Started playing Assassin's Creed 2 last night. Pretty good so far, but FFS why can't I skip the cutscenes

I got bored of that quite quickly. Run across rooftops, stab someone get chased etc. Just wasn't for me. I stopped playing it after sword fighting some bloke.

It'd likely be worth it I just dunno, can't be bothered whenever I see it? There's usually tons of them and I'd be like 'well, I may aswel grab PES 4 and 5 aswel. Oh and FIFA 06, 07 and 09. feckkkk.. Total Club Manager 2004!'

I wasn't sure if it was worth the effort to acquire buy it as it has some mixed reviews. You'll be my lab rat again for this, Olly. :)

I'm playing Assassins Creed Black Flag and you can skip cutscenes if you hold down one of the buttons. Not sure if you can do it in the second one though, never played it.
What are you playing it on? If it's on pc I'm sure you can download mods that can make you skip it.
I'm playing it on the 360 and there's definitely no way to skip them on this one. I Googled it and found multiple people saying you can't :(

What, the very first one or Human Revolution?
The very first one.

Yeah it was a bit repetitive. Instead of playing too much of it I ended up going back to Sleeping Dogs. I reckon it'll be good to play in small chunks though, as it's a nice world to explore, just perhaps not doing it all at once.

I'm not sure it'll quite be your cup of tea, as it's about the whole package (story especially included), but it's the most complete game ever made. Everything works on such a high level that it's pretty faultless.

Apart from some questionable Hong Kong accents that is

Oi mush, what are you trying to say? That I can't appreciate complete games? Yeah well we'll see about.... actually you're probably right. It was only £1.99 though so figured it was worth giving a shot at that price!

Tough titties.

You're so mean.

Am I the only one who has not pre-ordered Destiny?

Personally, I don't understand it's hype but I still may buy it but only after positive reviews when it is released.

Not normally my type of game but it looks far too epic for me to pass up on it as well as everyone will be playing it.

Which console you are on?
I am also concerned how my Ps3 would hold-up its graphics.

I don't think it'll live upto it's hype as such.

I think the PVP will disappoint some. It'll be fine perhaps, but I personally don't believe that it'll garner much attention for being anything more than a support and distraction to the single player which ties in through loot rewards. I don't think it could stand alone like Halo, Gears of War, COD or Battlefield. I also think the story will take a backseat to the game mechanics and it's style and I can't see it being particularly noteworthy.

It's essentially going to be a Borderlands game for most. Your missions are structured around clearing areas of enemies and looking for loot as you go, exploring co-operatively and upgrading your character. I'm excited for it, because there are some things I really enjoyed in the beta and can't wait to play more of but I don't think it'll reach it's hype, though I've always found that a strange thing to hold against a product.

So you're saying Destiny = Danny Welbeck?

FFS

Also yes that is what I was trying to say

I'm not interested in Destiny. All that hype, people will proclaim it the greatest ever on release then after a little while realise how boring it quickly got and how it offers nothing new. A bit like GTA5 recently.

Mind you I have no interest in mmo games these days.

If I get 40 + hours out of it I will be happy

Just a random screenshot...

Endless Rain fan mission for Thief Gold, 15-year-old game. Still going with fan made content and patches.

9 more days until something more recent, well, doh, it's a new game. Wasteland 2.

In the mean time, can read the 99-pages long manual.

So Kojima was teasing MGS collection 2014 to be announced next week at TGS. I'm guessing next gen and PC, if true.

I still haven't played ground zeroes.

Phantom Pain looks really cool too, but I think I might be done with that series now.

Got a couple of charity shop pickups today. Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, and Resident Evil 4. I already have RE4 on the Wii which is the better version, but it was the limited edition PS2 version which has a pretty cool case so I couldn't resist.

Haven't played Jak and Daxter before though. Anyone know if it's good?

I'd imagine you'll like them, whole lot of jumping and platforming action. The Vita would be fine, but there are a couple of jump combos that are awkward to pull off on it.

It's the sluggishness of it, makes it awkward to time. It's still playable, mind, but I'd much rather play it on a home console.

I guess it's a power limitation thing, especially as all three PS2 games are on the one card.

Oh yeah you said sluggish above, forgot that.

I guess it probably is power related. Did they improve the graphics of the games in the Vita version too, or was that just the PS3 one?

Huh, it's definitely a shame that they don't run too well then.

Just remembered I got Blue Shadow for the NES last night. Anyone played that? Looks pretty awesome.
