Gaming The RedCafe General/Random Gaming Chat Thread

These last few months I got a chance to play some incredible games, I played:

gears of war 1-3
Crysis 1-3
Uncharted 1-3
Halo 1-4

And also finished of the mass effect trilogy, what an amazing game, but that ending was rubbish

Anyone else played any of the above

Crysis 2 and 3 are dumb trash, Halo 2-4 are poor.

The others are decent though, especially all the firsts there.

Halo 2 worse than Uncharted 3 and Gears 2?

That's how I find your posts

Out of those I've played a bit of Gears of War 2, Halo 2 + 3, and Mass Effect 2. I guess based on the fact that I've only played bits of them you can guess whether I liked them or not.

I disagree about halo games being crap, but yeah the crysis ones where kind of shit, but graphically was an amazing game
Did you play with the extended ending?

I downloaded the extended ending, but when I played game from disc, it didnt show extended ending, not sure if I had to go to area where I downloaded it, and boot that one, so yeah I missed out on extended ending despite having it downloaded(xbox 360)

So what was LA Noire like? It's really cheap these days and I remember thinking the setting seemed like it couple be really cool. Worth getting for just a couple of quid?

It wasnt as good as people were expecting but still an enjoyable game. Certainly worth a couple of quid

looks and sounds great

I like / love everything here except for the Crysis games

Very, very dull. It's worth a few quid to experience it at the start, but don't expect anything past the first few missions to be any different.

Ah right. Well I got it for under two quid, so even if I don't do all of the missions it's worth it at that price to have a game with a new setting to explore.

Have this two games waiting at the side:

Beyond: Two Souls
The Wolf among us

Finished The Walking Dead: Season 2 a couple of weeks back. Enjoyed it thoroughly. Will these two be worth my time?

The Wolf Among Us is definitely worth it if you enjoy TellTale type games. Had no idea what to expect going in, but enjoyed the grown-up fantasy-comic theme (is there a name for that genre?).

Got a PS3 controller yesterday for £0.19. Figured it was a misprice but had a dispatched email a little earlier

Also got the original NES Castlevania today

Just bought this. @Redlambs

Looking forward to trying it, especially after your recommendation a few weeks ago. Looked up a few videos before I got it and it looks pretty damn good.

Endless Legend- turnbased fantasy strategy game. Got good reviews so gonna check it out.

Shadowrun arrived today (well, yesterday now) so I've been playing it for a few hours. I'm enjoying it so far. It took me a little while to get going and figure stiff out, but once I got going it's good.

The bit I got up to before I stopped playing is the countdown to my head exploding, so that's a bit of a bummer.

The 360 FPS or the top down RPG?
