Shorty Phelan

One of the few of the FM Wonderkids still in the Championship, Shorty made 45 appearances for Wolves and netted himself 21 goals. Surprisingly, there’s still no interest in the youngster, and he seems happy at Wolves.

Ubor Skolskov

Juventus paid Real Madrid £13.75m for Ubor at the start of the season, and it proved to be an absolute bargain as the youngster made 47 appearances, showing his clinical skills by scoring 10 goals and getting 11 assists.

Sam Stock

The young winger had a good season for West Ham, with 13 goals scored. Right now though, he has become disillusioned with life at the club, feeling that he needs to move in to further his career. There’s been no interest shown in him yet though.

Flawless Thaw

With a big £18m transfer to Inter at the start of the season, Flawless had a lot to prove. He quickly established himself as the clubs primary defensive midfielder, and was instrumental in helping them win the Serie A and the Italian cup.

Walrus

Moving to Arsenal for a big £25.5m fee at the beginning of the season, Walrus established himself as one of their big strikers, with 24 appearances and 11 goals, enjoying lots of success as Arsenal lifted the Premier league and the league cup.s

Ed Weatherall

Entering his 2nd season at Tottenham, Ed was still considered the backup keeper, only making 4 appearances at senior level. He’s still playing lots of youth games though, and has plenty of time to establish himself as a top keeper.

George Worst

After joining Hertha BSC on a free, George made 33 appearances for the club, with 4 goals and 4 assists. He’s just been offered another contract with the club, however with clubs such as Spurs, Bayern and AC Milan interested in buying the player, he’s keeping his options open at the moment.

oh yeah, moving to arsenal for £25.5m and winning the league, this should help my development.

tis interesting, throughout the whole thing so far ive not been anywhere near some of the others in terms of CA and stats, yet i seem to be easily keeping pace in terms of transfer fees and success.

i think now im at Arsenal i should be able to settle down a bit after moving club almost every season so far (would it be possible to post a screenshot of my transfer history if you get a minute cina?) - with their facilities i have pretty high hopes for major improvement now.

Guys, nobody is getting any extra screenshots/stats/whatever, simple as. It takes too long as it is.

Now, I'm off for a bloody pint.

Almost made it into the World Team of the Year :D Pleased that I left the Franco cnuts, although Juve aren't exactly a club I'd take home to meet the mother.

Thanks for the update cina

14 assists for West Brom. Not too shabby. Cheers cina.

George Worst

Spurs, Bayern and Milan? Nice

I hope someone snaps me up from West Ham. Good to see I've got 11 England caps with 5 goals.

I could make Liverpool your favourite club if you like? They'll surely move in then.

Come to think of it, nobody has moved to Liverpool or Man City as of yet :o

"Chris Searl

Chris joined Real Madrid at the start of the season for a massive £17.75m fee, made 18 appearances, which were largely disappointing, which prompted Inter to come along in January and let Madrid make a little profit, buying him for £18m. He’s been much more impressive at Inter though, with 16 appearances, 4 goals, and 4 assists."

Highest Earner too lads !!

I have no idea what this means.

can it is being updates time yet plx?

this sounds interesting, wish I got in at the start of this!

not bad, though admittedly i would prefer one with tusks.

Here's the thing, I just don't have the time to sit down and do this regularly anymore, add to the fact that my little laptop takes fecking ages to process a season, and it just ain't gonna happen until I get considerable time off.

I'll happily upload it again if someone wants to do it though.

cina, i'm pretty sure patience is the strong suit for most of us mate, take your time, the hard work that is put into this is more then appreciated.

If you want to upload it I'll do a few updates

I've got the file. I'll run a season overnight or something and hopefully post an update tomorrow. Reckon I'll do a couple of seasons and then pass it on to Xander if he wants a turn with it

Should have updates soon. I did half of them yesterday, should have some time later today to finish up.

2013/2014 Season Update #1

Cinadine Cidane (Fiorentina)

In his second season at Fiorentina Cidane established himself as a key figure in the first team, starting nearly 50 games and scoring 9 goals and grabbing 8 assists. He shone brightest in Fiorentina’s successful UEFA Cup campaign, scoring six of his goals on the way to a final which ended in a 1-0 victory over Atletico Madrid. Crucially, Cidane scored the two opening goals in a 4-0 semi-final demolition of Liverpool. But Cidane couldn’t rescue the Viola from a dismal domestic season in which they finished 10th in Serie A, and were emphatically beaten by Milan in the Italian Cup semi-finals (6-1 on aggregate).

Fiorentina may not be the best club for Cidane since they’ve a wealth of attacking midfield talent. Alen Dzagoev occupies the AMC position that could bring out Cidane’s best qualities, and his excellent performances would make him hard to shift. Playing as a central midfielder Cidane is a good worker who does contribute in attack, but he’s sloppy in possession and can find himself being overrun.

Cidane

Cw1984 (Man Utd)

Difficult times for United. Man City surged into a 2nd place finish with United suffering a drop out of the top four, lucky to finish in fifth place. Their latest Champions League campaign saw them knocked out at the 1st Knockout Round by Bayern Munich, and though the FA Cup promised some solace Spurs proved too strong an opponent in the final. We’d lost Sir Alex Ferguson, replaced him with Mourinho, and now find ourselves with Thomas Schaaf who’d been managing Inter.

Cw1984 is developing into a fine player. A strong, athletic midfielder, occasional leftback, who works hard and gets stuck into the opposition readily, but with a definite touch of class in his attacking play. He finished as United’s third top scorer behind Tevez and Ronaldo with 9 goals from 49 starts, and a pass completion of 85% made him United’s most reliable midfielder in possession. He was rewarded with a new, long term contract, £97,000 a week, and has established himself as a left back for England.

Diver (Arsenal)

As predicted, Middlesbrough couldn’t keep a hold of Diver but made a £20m profit in selling him to Arsenal. A bargain this turned out to be for their new manager, Marco van Basten. Arsenal ended up on top of the Premiership again with Diver played a key role, starting 52 games, 11 of these being MoM performances. He’s a creative force in this high scoring team, 21 assists (15 in the Premiership, making him its most creative player), a brilliant passer of the ball but tough tackling and very strong defensively. In fact, he’s actually played almost half of his games at Arsenal as a center back, and helped them to the second best defensive record in the league. This despite the fact Phillipe Senderos is a regular at the center of defence. No surprise that the blundering gimp has Diver as favored personnel.

Diver

Hassan Emirati (West Brom)

After three seasons at West Brom Emirati decided for a change of scenery and agreed to a £28m move to Juventus, joining fellow Caftards Alwyn Payne and Ubor Skolskov for a run at dethroning Inter as Serie A champions.

Unfortunately, Emirati has had an underwhelming beginning to his career at The Old Lady, but shown some promise. He started 26 games and ended up with 4 goals and 4 assists to his name. He’s suffered due to rotation on the left of midfield, competing with Paolo De Ceglie and Angel Di Maria. Both have been quite poor in comparison though so hopefully next season Emirati will be able to establish himself as first choice. He seems to have settled well and is quite happy, perhaps unsurprisingly since he has by far the best contract at Juve. £140,000 a week! Hasn’t even bothered to learn Italian during his first season in Turin, lazy fecker.

Hassan Emirati

Alex Hemming (West Brom)

Hemming completed a third season at West Brom and helped them narrowly avoid relegation from the Premiership, a 2 point lead over Portsmouth ensuring a 17th place finish.

A composed presence to a back four that included Titus Bramble and Tal Ben-Haim, Hemming did brilliantly in his captains role for West Brom. An important ball winner in this team, Hemming won 227 out of 288 tackles he attempted, making an average of 6.19 tackles per game. But his intelligent distribution from the back also benefitted The Baggies’ attacking play, and he assisted in eight goals. One of these goals he created in West Brom’s crucial final match of the season against Barnsley, where he was voted Man of the Match as he helped his team secure another season in the Premiership.

Hemming must’ve heard about the silly money his former teammate Hassan Emirati is earning at Juve and is making noise about needing to leave West Brom. Likely they’ll be asking a similar fee to the £28m Emirati went for, but at the moment there is no solid interest.

2013/2014 Season Update #2

Jacob (Napoli)

After some impressive seasons in the Ukraine with Shakhtar Jacob ended up in slightly more glamourous settings with Napoli, who paid £13.25m for his services. He’s since made a good start to his career in Italy, but Napoli are a developing team, creeping up the table. They finished 9th this season, following on from 11th place the last. Jacob managed 32 starts for Napoli despite heavy competition in attacking midfield and no European matches, and though he hasn’t been the same source of goals he was at Shakhtar, scoring just once for his new team, he has shown he key eye for a pass by creating eight.

He faces stiff competition for Carlos Eduardo to play in his favoured AMC position. Eduardo is more of a goalscorer, but Jacob has shown he can score goals and hopefully next season he’ll come out on top of this contest. Napoli have the makings of a decent side that could push further up the table.

Jacob

Dennis Law (Aston Villa) – World Footballer of the Year

Law has remained at Aston Villa and continued to bang in the goals for them, and was surprisingly rewarded as the World Footballer of the Year! Although his second season was slightly less productive (21 goals – 13 Premiership, 8 FA/League Cup), he seems to have improved other facets of his games and improved his average rating over the season. A few more man of the match performances, slightly improved passing and some assists may account for this.

Recently rewarded with a new £90,000 a week deal at Villa, it seems he’s happy to stay put and help his team break into European places. Villa finished 8th in the Premiership, but only 3 points behind 5th placed Manchester United. They’re in the mix, but are very reliant on Law and Ashley Young in their attacking play.

Law’s amassed 10 goals from 16 international appearances so far, including two goals in the qualifying play-off against Switzerland which sent Scotland to World Cup.

Dennis Law

Cristiano Lazytov (Chelsea)

Chelsea have brought Mourinho back after his spell at Manchester United and he hasn’t taken a shine to Lazytov at all. Potentially the next Winston Bogarde, Lazytov is quite happy at Chelsea despite his limited appearances in the first team. But he’s actually done very well when given opportunities. This season he made 10 appearances, 8 starts, and scored 6 goals, creating another 2. Average rating – 7.40.

Pretty respectable, but Jose’s playing a 4-1-2-2-1 system so only room for one striker in the team, and Amauri has been perfect in his role as the target man. He’s 33 though, and the only other competition for a spot is Ched Evans, so maybe there will be opportunities for Cristiano in the future. But clearly Chelsea’s system needs an athletic, hard working striker up front, and some might say Lazytov isn’t well suited. A move away from Chelsea may be best for his development, but earning a tidy £37,000 a week, can he be arsed to move?

Cristiano Lazytov

Legold Legster (Stuttgart)

Legster is enjoying his time at Stuttgart and developing good relationships with his teammates, no signs of leaving. He’s steadily improved as a rampaging left back with real quality on the ball, and is one of Stuttgarts star players along with Ciprian Marica and Mario Gomez. His play down the left flank has been a valuable source of goals, and his tally of 8 assists is the best in the squad. But Legster is also a ball winner with an excellent tackle success rate (239 successful tackles out of 305), and very reliable in possession, only center back Henk Mackels has a better pass completion rate than Legster’s 87%.
3 red cards though, as well as 11 yellows, mean that Legster could be a little reckless at times.

Stuttgart finished seventh in the Bundeliga with 57 points. 7 points off 2nd placed HSV. Not too far off, but if a Champions League team came in a move could be in the offing. Ciprian Marica (Who scored 12 in 14 for Stuttgart) has begun complaining about needing to move to a bigger club, perhaps others will follow.

Legster has 17 caps for Serbia now, their first choice left back.

Legold Legster

Karran Mittal (Chelsea)

Mittal has played a bigger part under Mourinho at Chelsea, making 26 starts and rewarding them with 8 goals and 11 assists from central midfield. Looks like a potential replacement for Fat Fwank who’s still going strong, scoring 14 goals from 40 appearances even as a 35 year old.

Chelsea finished third in the Premiership, a point behind Man City in 2nd. They also managed to reach another Champions League final, drawing 1-1 with Juventus and losing on penalties. Mittal etched himself in the memories of another Champions League tragedy for Chelsea by scoring their equalizing goal before penalties (Super JT scored his penalty this time, but ended up a loser again)

There’s some interest in Mittal suggesting a move away from Chelsea could be on the horizon. Big spending Juventus and also … Newcastle fancy Mittal, who’s also lead India through qualification for the Asia Cup and amassed 12 Caps so far

Karan Mittal

Rasmus Nilsson (Tottenham)

Spurs’ interest in Nilsson produced a £13m move from relegated Hull, but not unsurprisingly for a Spurs player it hasn’t been the happiest of seasons. Perhaps because their new manager Quique Flores insists on a system with three AMC’s, so in 27 debut season appearances (19 Starts), Nilsson has been played out of position. This could explain an ominous 6.66 average rating for the season. But still, 5 goals is a pretty respectable output. Definitely some outstanding attributes on Nilsson, if he can adapt to the AMC position then he could be a brilliant player, with all the qualities for a great, goal scoring midfielder. At the moment he seems to be struggling to adapt to Tottenham’s system, although he seems quite happy at the club.

Rasmus Nilsson
