The RedCafe FM Experiment

FM Experiment Update 2021/2022

1. Cinadine Cidane (Real Madrid)

Another mixed season for Cinadine. He played well, but Madrid only won the Super Cup. Barcelona won the league this year. Cinadine made 54 appearances scoring 15 goals and assisting 20 others. Couldn't really ask for much more, he was the second best player in the team behind Dennis Law, which, lets be honest, is to be expected nowadays.

2. Cw1984 (Barcelona)

A much improved season for Cw on all fronts. Barcelona won the la Liga this year, with him playing in 37 of the 38 games. A return of 7 goals and 16 assists is fantastic considering he was mainly deployed at LB by Barca. He has just signed a new contract keeping him at Barcelona til 2026. Life is good for cw at the moment.

3. Diver (Arsenal)

In his new DM role, Diver did...Ok. His rating for the season was only 7.13, only played in 27 of the 38 league games, and only got a single goal. Arsenal had a good season, with a domestic treble. However it seemed Diver had become bored with life at the club, the effort seemed to have gone. As a result he has agreed to join up with Sam Stock and Chris Searl at Inter Milan on July 1st 2022.

4. Hassan Emirati (Juventus)

8 goals for Emirati last season, could he improve? Not really, he scored only twice in a poor season for him. Juve came second in the league this season, and lost in the Super Cup Final. However one massive plus was them winning the Champions League for the second time running. Emiritati will be disappointed though, he barely scraped an average of 7.00 for the season and only scored a measly 6.97 in the League, only playing 27 out of the 38 games too. A season of improvement is needed for Emirati, maybe the forthcoming 2022 World Cup will re-ignite him?

5. Alex Hemming (AC Milan)

Were AC Milan going to push on from their 3rd place last year? No, not really. 5th place for AC this year, Hemming can't do it all on his own you know. He was still the best player at the club but that's like being the most handsome man in the burns unit. It was a poor season from AC, and all signs point to Hemming needing to leave the club. However he is currently considering a contract offer from them, so we will see. Hemming netted two goals this season, two more than last year.

6. Jacob (Napoli)

Jacob's having a whale of a time at Napoli. He made 40 appearances, scoring 18 goals as Napoli won Serie A for the first time since 1990, going to whole season undefeated and winning it by a large margin. Jacob missed roughly 6 weeks of the season with niggling injuries like a strained neck and also a twisted knee in March. Despite this he was still Napoli's best player. Having now won the league and also the Champions League with Napoli, is it time to move on for Jacob? Or does he want to cement his status as a club legend?

Jacob is currently struggling to regain match fitness for Sweden's first game of the World Cup against Chile.

7. Dennis Law (R. Madrid)

55 games, 51 goals. The Spanish FA have decided to ban him due to fears he is a robot....no not really. A massive 7.86 rating backs up another superb season for Law, who has now scored 294 goals in his league career. Law only won the Super Cup this year though, his goals weren't enough to stop Barcelona in the league.

ImageBam - Fast, Free Image Hosting and Photo Sharing

8. Cristiano Lazytov (Juventus)

Is lazytov becoming, un-lazy? He appeared in 25 league games, his highest for 5 years. Overall he made 41 appearances, which is quite astounding. He scored 9 goals, getting 10 assists, however his overall rating of 7.03 was poor, and he was benched for the Champions League Final which Juve won. Lazytov also won his first 3 trophies this year with Juve, the Champs League, CWC, and European Super Cup. He also learned Italian, didn't think he'd be bothered.

ImageBam - Fast, Free Image Hosting and Photo Sharing

9. Legold Legster (Real Madrid)

Legster has taken up the solider but unspectacular mantle from Hemming. He played in most fo Real's games this season and was decent. He didn't score any goals but made 8 of them for his team as they won the Super Cup. Improvement is needed for Legster. He was only Real's 5th best player, and some of the players ahead of him weren't even caftards.

ImageBam - Fast, Free Image Hosting and Photo Sharing

10. Karan Mittal (Chelsea)

Mittal spent roughly 4 months on the sidelines this season, he tore a calf muscle in November and kept getting niggling injuries after that. Without their star man, Chelsea finished 4th. Mittal was still Chelsea's best player though, scoring 10 goals in the 29 sporadic appearances he made.

ImageBam - Fast, Free Image Hosting and Photo Sharing

11. Rasmus Nilsson (Bayern Munich)

40 appearances this season with 8 goals. Nilsson wasn't as good as last season, not what he wanted when the World Cup is looming. Bayern won the league again though. Altogether a disappointingly low profile season from Nilsson, he won no awards either.

ImageBam - Fast, Free Image Hosting and Photo Sharing

12. niMic (Real Madrid)

niMic didn't play as much as last year, though he was still one of Madrid's best players. He made 32 appearances, never once coming on as a sub. Not much else to report for niMic, was a low key season just like Nilsson's.

ImageBam - Fast, Free Image Hosting and Photo Sharing

13. Alwyn Payne (Juventus)

He wanted a new challenge, and he still wants one. Payne stayed at Juve this season, winnign another Champions League for his troubles, captaining the side in the final. He made a total of 50 appearances, scoring 12 and setting up 17. Juventus have offered him a contract, so the ball is in his court.

ImageBam - Fast, Free Image Hosting and Photo Sharing

14. Paz (Juventus)

Paz improved his goalscoring again, with 7 goals this year. He won the Champions League, playing in the final. Not much else happened for Paz, he is currently with the England squad preparing for the 2022 World Cup.

ImageBam - Fast, Free Image Hosting and Photo Sharing

15. Psmith (FC Bayern)

PSmith scored 29 times this season in 42 appearances as Bayern won the league again. Him and Nilsson just run things over there in Germany. PSmith got a brilliant rating of 7.85 and was named in the 2021 World Team of The Year. He is currently with the India National Team.

ImageBam - Fast, Free Image Hosting and Photo Sharing

16. Chris Searl (Inter)

Another disappointing 4th place for Inter this year. Searl didn't have a great season, making only 33 appearances due to poor form and a fractured arm during the season. He has a midfield partner in Diver coming in July so maybe they can form a good partnership. Searl played in the Champions League Final for Inter but they lost the game 1 - 3. After that game Searl decided he wanted a new challenge and he is currently considering a contract offer.

ImageBam - Fast, Free Image Hosting and Photo Sharing

17. Shorty Phelan (Juventus)

Another superb season for Shorty. He scored 40 goals in 51 appearances for Juventus, and itf that wasn't enough, 3 of those came in the Champions League Final against Inter Milan. He received the man of the match award as he won his team their second successive European trophy. Juve, desperate to keep him at the club for the rest of his career, have offered him a new contract, which he is currently considering.

ImageBam - Fast, Free Image Hosting and Photo Sharing

18. Ubor Skolskov (Juventus)

Another good season for Skolskov as the lynch-pin of the Juventus side. He made 44 appearances, scoring 8 goals from DM, as Juve won the Champions League, and finished as runners up in Serie A. He is enjoying life at the club and see's no reason to leave. Out of the 269 tackles Skolskov attempted in the season, he won 237 of them. You don't get past him easily.

ImageBam - Fast, Free Image Hosting and Photo Sharing

19. Sam Stock (Inter)

Another average season for Stock, he scored less goals and made less assists than last season. Despite this he has just signed a contract to keep him at Inter for the next 4 years. At the moment he is with the England team, who he seems to do much better with, scoring 41 goals in 71 appearances for the national team. He also scored Inter Milan's consolation goal in the 84th minute of the Champions League Final 3 - 1 loss to Juventus.

ImageBam - Fast, Free Image Hosting and Photo Sharing

20. Flawless Thaw (Barcelona)

Flawless won the La Liga with Barca this season, playing in 33 of the 38 games as they marched to the title. Him and cw enjoyed good seasons. He scored 11 goals from DM, which is a great return. He is currently with the England squad, and surely has done enough for his club to nail down a first team spot for the World Cup. Barcelona have also offered him a new contract which he is considering.

ImageBam - Fast, Free Image Hosting and Photo Sharing

21. Walrus (Arsenal)

I'm not sure what it was but something made Walrus change his mind, as he stayed with Arsenal as is now happy there. Why shouldn't he be? they won the domestic treble. Walrus played in both the FA and Carling Cup finals. In the Carling Cup he netted twice in a 6 - 0 win, and in the FA he scored the winner against Sunderland. He couldn't celebrate with the team rhough as he went off injured in the 84th minutes. Goals are his forte though, he scored 39 of them this year in 48 apps. He will be hoping he can fire England to World Cup glory now.

ImageBam - Fast, Free Image Hosting and Photo Sharing

22. Ed Weatherall (Arsenal)

Same as Walrus, a domestic treble for the goalkeeper. He will be pleased with that, and also his 39 clean sheets in 58 apps. Now he is with the England squad, where he undoubtedly the number one. England will be relying on him to keep up his top form and help them win the World Cup for first time since 66'.

ImageBam - Fast, Free Image Hosting and Photo Sharing

23. George Worst (Arsenal)

3 trophies for Worst this season, also 15 goals and 15 assists, he kept it even. He also got into the World Team Of The year this season. However things aren't all happy with Worst. He feels he's achieved all he can at the club and desperately wants a move away. He played 48 times for Arsenal this year and is now with the Belgium squad preparing for the World Cup.

Manchester United News

On November 21st, United sacked Rafa Benitez due to the clubs poor league form. They brought in Abel Resino, who still couldn't improve the clubs position, eventually in January they brought in Alan Curbishley. This still didn't help and Manchester United, former Treble winners and a team that dominated English football for years, were relegated from the Premiership in 19th place.

World Cup 2022 Update later today.

Nooooooooooo!!!! United relegated with Alan Curbishley in charge!? Look what the Glazers have done to us

Quality update Sol, i'd be interested to see how we all get on in the world cup. Can England finally do it?

Another good update

A shame for United, and weird that hardly any of us ended up there despite it being our favourite club, and I'd say it's unlikely any of us will go there in the future.

Not too many more chances for the true 'Golden Generation', what, this world cup and the next perhaps

Juve doesn't seem to be a great place for wingers.

Not reaching full potential at Napoli even though it's going pretty well at the moment, I assume Napoli's training facilities har below those of the top10 clubs in the world.

Wohoo, World Team of the Year for the first time! I'd be interested to see Napoli's best XI.

Only me left in a club outside of the current world's top10

I'd definitely want to have the save when the Experiment is finished and we've all retired. I'd like to take United back to the top :D

Same here actually if that's all possible.

Anyway this is the last time England's "Golden generation" have of winning a major trophy whilst at their peak at least. Will they do it?

Thanks for the updates Xander and Sol

United :( I blame cw1984

No cards in 41 appearances? Brilliant commitment.

United being relegated is rather inevitable in this game because of the debt, sadly. :(

Great work

World Player of the year.

Bit disappointed to be still at Bayern, I need to win the CL to cement my legendary status in world football.

World Cup 2022

Group Stages

Group A

Spain, Argentina, Russia, UAE.

A tough group for both UAE and Russia. Emirati was there representing UAE, and Skolskov for Russia. The first round of games both ended 0 - 0. UAE held Spain to a draw, and Russia with Argentina, a good start for both caftards. Spain beat Argentina 3 - 0 to go top, and UAE and Russia drew 2 - 2, with Skolskov getting a goal for Russia. Both countries then needed to win against Argentina and Spain respectively to go through. However UAE lost 3 - 0 to the Argies, and Russia went down 2 - 1 to Spain. So it was goodbye to two of our caftards already.

Group B

Brazil, Costa Rica, Croatia, India.

Just PSmith and Mittal (India) from the caftards here. India qualified top of the group beating Brazil 3 -1 on the way. PSmith scored 3 goals during these stages, Mittal also scored in a 1 - 1 draw with Croatia.

Group C

South Korea, Turkey, Norway, Ghana

Hemming and niMic were the caftards in this group, representing Euro 2020 winners Norway. They scraped qualification from the group in second. They lost 1 - 2 to Ghana, drew 0 - 0 with Korea, and beat Turkey 2 - 1 thanks to a goal from niMic. They needed to improve their form if they wanted to win another international trophy.

Group D

France, Serbia, Senegal, USA

Just Legster in action here for Serbia. They qualified top of the group with 2 wins and a draw. Legster captained his side as they marched on to the next round.

Group E

Scotland, Rep Of Ireland, Ivory Coast, Saudi Arabia.

Dennis Law and Cinadine Cidane in action here for Scotland and Rep Of Ireland respectively. Scotland breezed through with 3 wins out of 3. Law only got one goal in the group stages. Ireland also progressed in second, only losing to the Scots. Cinadine had a mixed group stages, he scored 2 in Irelands 5 - 3 win over Saudi Arabia, but was then sent off against Scotland. He missed their next game and will also miss their second round game against Mexico and the Quarter Finals if they reach that far.

Group G

England, Australia, Sweden, Chile.

Jacob and Nilsson were there for Sweden. While Walrus, Stock, Phelan, Thaw, Paz, Cw, Diver, Payne and Weatherall all traveled for England.

Things started well for both England and Sweden. Sweden beat Chile 1 - 0, while England beat Australia 2 - 0, with cw1984 scoring a penalty, and Flawless Thaw scoring the second.

In the next set of games, England played Sweden, England won it 2 - 0, with Phelan the only caftard scorer. The only downside for England was when Walrus went off injured with a gashed leg, he would miss Englands next two games and possibly more.

Sweden needed a win in their last game, unfortunatley they didn't get it, losing 1 - 0 to Australia. It wouldn't have mattered to Jacob, as he pulled his hamstring and would have missed the rest of the tournament anyway. England however finished in style, beating Chile 5 - 0, with Phelan netting twice and Paz scoring one too. Sam Stock picked up an injury though and would probably miss the next game.

Group H

Belgium, South Africa, China, Uruguay

3 wins out of 3 for Belgium here. George Worst's country stormed through the group stages.

Second Round

India Vs Argentina

A tough draw for India. Both Mittal and PSmith started, Mittal captaining the side. India got off to a flyer when 28 year old Syed Singh scored a freekick, and it stayed like that. The Argies tried to get back in the game but India held on to win, and went through to the quarters.

Serbia Vs Norway

This game pitted Legster's Serbia against niMic and Hemming's Norway. All 3 started, and the game finished 1 - 1, extra time couldn't separate the two and it went to penalties. None of the caftards took one though, and Serbia won the shootout 4 - 3. So we say goodbye to the Euro Champions in the second round. Legster reaches the Quarters with Serbia.

Portugal Vs Scotland

They reached the semis in the Euros, however it wasn't even to be the quarters this year for Scotland. They lost 1 - 0, and Dennis Law for once did not play well at all. Did the pressure get to him? He was actually substituted after 75 minutes, you'd think they'd leave him on, needing a goal and all.

Mexico Vs Rep Of Ireland

Cinadine didn't play due to suspension, but his side went through 2 - 4 on penalties.

England Vs Uruguay

Before the game both Walrus and Sam Stock were possbilites to play after their injures. Stock managed to recover from his, but it was just one day too soon for our tusked friend. He sat on the bench. All the other caftards played and England comfortably won 4 - 2. Shorty phelan scored twice, with the other two from Liverpool midfielder Sam Gibson. Ed Weatherall will not be pleased at conceding two in a pretty one sided game though.

Australia Vs Belgium

Worst had another decent game as Belgium went through to the Quarters with a 1 - 3 win over the Aussies. George still hasn't score din the tournament yet.

Quarter Finals

Spain Vs Serbia

Legster started this tough fixture for Serbia. Well, it seemed like a tough fixture. Serbia dominated the game, with 63% possesion. However they struggled to find a way through against a stubborn Spain side who tried to hit them on the counter. Things started to get tense towards and end and then on 85 minutes the deadlock was broken. Milevic scored for Serbia to put them 1 - 0 up, and they held on to reach the Semi-Finals. Would Legster captain his team all the way to glory?

India Vs France

India had done fantastically well to get this far, and now they came up against France. They started the game well, but failed to get the breakthrough. A half-time team-talk got them going again but disaster struck for India as star player PSmith went off injured on 57 minutes. Without their top striker, India looked a bit lost, while at the same time France didn't seem good enough to be able to get a goal. It inevitably went to penalties. Captain Karan Mittal put his hand up to take the first penalty, and duly scored it. Johan Gourcouff then missed his, India had a hold on the shootout, only for Ahmed and Singh to both miss theirs. France didn't miss again and went through 5 - 4 in the shootout. India should be proud to have done so well though.

Portugal Vs Belgium

George Worst started this game for Belgium, but did not play well. He was substituted after 70 minutes. Luckily for him, Blegium still won the game, 2 - 1. They had reached the semi-finals.

Rep Of Ireland Vs England

That red card might be Cinadine's biggest regret. Without him Ireland looked poor at best. All the caftards bar Shorty Phelan, (arguably Englands best player so far) started the game, with Walrus returning. England won the game comfortably 2 - 0. Flawless Thaw scored first, and Paz wrapped it up. Paz was the Man Of The Match after a great performance.

Semi Finals

France Vs Belgium

Worst again didn't play that well for Belgium, and they didn't start well. France took the lead after 10 minutes. Belgium were shell shocked, and it took them a while to get into the game, but they did, equalizing on 40 minutes. The game then petered out as both sides seemed to give up trying for the winning goal. The game went to extra time, Worst had been substituted on 76 minutes, and one team found a bit of energy. Unfortunately for Worst and the Belgians it wasn't them. France took the initiative and bagged the winning goal on 116 minutes to book their place in the final.

Serbia Vs England

Legold's Serbia faced the ultimate test here. A team full of World Class, mainly caftard opposition. Shorty phelan was again strangely on the bench, as was Flawless Thaw who had been playing very well. Had Jose Mourinho gone crazy? Mourinho is the England Manager by the way, not sure if that was posted before. He appointed Sam Stock Captain for the game, and him and England played well. They won 2 - 0 with Walrus and Paz getting the goals. Serbia had done well, but they came across opposition too tough for them.

Third placed PlayOff

Serbia Vs Belgium

They'd both done brilliantly, but who would get third place in the worlds biggest competition? Legster captained Serbia, and Worst captained Belgium. In truth it was a dull game. Serbia took the lead after 37 minutes and defended it. Belgium pressed and tried to get back into the game but to no avail. Serbia sealed third place with a 1 - 0 win.

Final

France Vs England

Here were are. England have reached their fourth successive International Final, could they finally do it? They were the only chance of having a caftard winner this year. All the caftards started except shorty phelan again. Mourinho just didn't seem to like him. Things did not start well for England, as France went 0 - 1 up on 4 minutes thanks to Vincent Acapandie. It didn't take long for England to get back level though, Paz got through on goal and was brought down. Sam Gibson scored the penalty to make it 1 - 1. England had now started to get into the game, with Stock and Walrus going close. However on 31 minutes Acapandie scored again for France to make it 1 - 2. Half time came and went and the game was much more even, Walrus had another chance but squandered it, and England were made to pay on 76 minutes when who else but Acapandie sealed his hattrick. He wriggled through the England defence and slotted home. England tried in vain to get back in the game but hardly created any more chances. France had won the 2022 World Cup. Had England's golden generation blown their last chance of International Glory?

pfff. Stupid injuries in the world cups.

The Walrus is meant to be a big game player damnit. I wanted a WC Final hattrick, anything less can only be regarded as failure.

FM Experiment Update 2022/2023

1. Cinadine Cidane (Real Madrid)

Are they taking it in turns? Real Madrid took the La Liga title off of Barcelona this year. Cinadine played well, scoring 19 times in 47 appearances with an average rating of 7.47. He has just signed a new 3 year contract with Madrid.

2. Cw1984 (Barcelona)

Trophy wise it wasnt a great season for cw. Barca lost out on La Liga by a solitary point. Though they did winthe Super Cup, the season must have still felt like a failure for cw. He played in every single la Liga game for Barca, making 54 appearances overall. He was actually played in central midfield for most of these games and as a result notched up 14 goals.

3. Diver (Arsenal Transferred to Inter Milan)

Diver made his switch tto Inter after the World Cup and instantly improved them as they finished second in Serie A, losing out on the title to Juventus by 1 point. However he played only 26 times for Inter before breaking his foot towards the end of the season, missing the rest of it. He scored 2 goals during the campaign.

4. Hassan Emirati (Juventus)

Emirati had a very poor season last year, and this year wasn't much better. He played 53 games, netting 9 goals and 9 assists. It was an improvement but Emirati knows he can do better. Maybe this isn't the club for him? He is currently considering his options. At nearly 30 years old he needs to find the right club for him to wind down his career at.

5. Alex Hemming (AC Milan)

Ah, Alex Hemming. Mr consistent. Once again Hemming got himself in the World Team of The Year, was in the Team Of The Week countless times and had a generally good season. AC didn't win any trophies though and finished in 5th place. Hemming really should move away from the club as he is the only decent performer, but he seems to like it there.

6. Jacob (Napoli)

Hey Jacob, guess who your new boss is. That's right, the Fat Spanish Waiter himself is in town. Rafa took over at the start of the season and guided the club to err.. 4th place. Napoli won nothing this season and Jacob was largely poor. He only bagged 10 goals in 41 apps, and his average rating of 7.09 shows his drop in form. All this after Benitez arrived, coincidence? I think not. He ruined United now he's trying to do the same to Napoli.

7. Dennis Law (R. Madrid)

Law is 30 now and played roughly 10 less games than last season. Still, he knows where the goal is, he got 42 goals in 45 apps. Averaging a rating of 7.73. He won the La Liga with Madrid and generally enjoyed just another day at the office. He was named in the La Liga team of the week an astonishing 11 times in 2023.

8. Cristiano Lazytov (Juventus)

44 appearances for Lazytov this year, he's getting more active with age! 27 goals to show for it too. Am I really looking at Lazytov's stats? It seems I am. He's actually quite good now. With a rating of 7.48, people must be wondering what sort of player he could have been if he wasn't such a couch potato.

9. Legold Legster (Real Madrid)

With a solid World Cup campaign behind him Legster did well. He played in all 38 of Real's league games, proving a rock in defence as they marched to their first La Liga title since 2021. Not much else to report on Legster, he is currently considering a contract offer from Real.

10. Karan Mittal (Chelsea)

Mittal had a good World Cup with India. Unfortunately despite his 18 goals in 49 apps, and average 7.44 rating, Chelsea were the nearly men. They finished second in the league to Arsenal, lost 5 - 2 in the Champions League Final, and lost 2 - 1 in the Carling Cup Final. Poor Mittal, poor Chelsea.

11. Rasmus Nilsson (Bayern Munich)

Rasmus had a good season personally. He got 9 goals, an improvement from his last two seasons. One of these goals came in the 5 -2 Champions League Final win. He made 40 appearances overall and is currently considering a contract offer from Bayern.

12. niMic (Real Madrid)

niMic did better this year. He played all but 1 of Real's league games, which shows how important he was deemed by the club. 12 goals and 19 goals also made it a good season for him. It was topped by winning the La Liga. niMic's second league title in Spain. He is enjoying playing for the club at the moment, and why wouldn't he?

13. Alwyn Payne (Juventus)

Juventus won the league this season and Payne played a big part, often scoring crucial goals to get his team some late late wins. He played 51 times and scored 14 goals in total. He is bored at Juve though and wants to leave. There haven't been many moves by Caftards recently though, could Alwyn change that?

14. Paz (Juventus)

Paz had a good World Cup, and followed it up with this decent season. He won Serie A with Juve, playing in 34 of their 38 games, scoring 8 goals for them. His average rating was 7.42 and he is loving life at the club. Don't be surprised to see him retire there. He keeps having seasons of consistent low profile goodness.

15. Psmith (FC Bayern)

PSmith said he needed to win the CL to cement his status as a legend, and he duly did that. Bayern won the Champions League this season, thrashing Chelsea 5 - 2 in the final with PSmith getting a hattrick! Couldn't have asked for better really. He played 44 times throughout the seasons scoring 28 goals. Winning the Bundesliga again just added to his growing collection of trophies.

16. Chris Searl (Inter)

Searl only played 28 times this season so his partnership with the also injured Diver didn't really get to flourish. there were too many little injuries to list for Searl, though one was a fractured arm. He really is one unlucky bastard. Inter won the Italian Cup though, but Searl didn't get a medal. A season to forget for him.

17. Shorty Phelan (Juventus)

Shorty was having a great World Cup before he was dropped by Mourinho. There were some wife shagging allegations in the paper but nothing was ever confirmed. He continued his great form for Juve, winning Serie A with them and netting 34 goals in 46 apps. He is currently injured with a twisted ankle.

18. Ubor Skolskov (Juventus)

Not his greatest season, he only made 37 apps for Juve due to a recurring twisted knee injury. He still won the league with them and loves the club. Not much else to report.

19. Sam Stock (Inter)

A massive improvement arrived for Stock this year. He made 48 appearances, scoring 21 goals and making 22 assists from the right wing. His average rating in the league was also the highest of his career. He still enjoys playing for the club and doesn't look like leaving soon. He was a runners up medalist in Serie A, but won the Italian Cup after a 1 - 0 victory over Juventus. He got into the World Team Of The year.

20. Flawless Thaw (Barcelona)

Barcelona lost the league title to Madrid this season. It wasn't a great one for them. Flawess figured prominently for his club but it wasn't enough, sometimes it just isn't your year. Nothing much else to report on Mr. Thaw.

21. Walrus (Arsenal)

Isn't he bored of winning things yet? Arsenal won the league, again. The Carling Cup, again. The FA Cup, again. Walrus netted 27 times in 45 appearances. He can do better, but he's likely not going to care as he puts three more winners medals up on his wall.

22. Ed Weatherall (Arsenal)

League title, check. FA Cup, check. Carling Cup, check. Another season of regularity for Ed, as Arsenal continued to dominate English football. Weatherall kept 40 clean sheets in 64 games. He really is a top goalkeeper and a massive reason behind Arsenal's success, as they conceded only 17 goals in the Prem, ridiculous!

23. George Worst (Arsenal)

3 trophies once more for George. He played 50 games for Arsenal, scoring 9 times from AM. He can improve that aspect of his game, or maybe not since he's most likely peaked by now. 17 assists made him Arsenal's top goal setter upper (yes I invented that phrase).

Just looking back to see if this thread had the stats we inputted in, it didn't, but found the above

Lucky for him, he wasn't the next Ally McCoist!

The data is in the Football Manager 09 thread in and around the page 50 mark. I was looking for it yesterday because I wanted to start my own experiment with a few mates of mine.

Looking back, I am very happy with my career. I was born 5 minutes away from the old Highbury ground (in real life!) - could do a lot worse than a hugely successful career with Arsenal. Surely I must be a legend, or at least an icon by now?

We've done well at Arsenal, haven't we? :D

You Arsenal lot haven't done bad at all. I like my career path as well, promising youngster at Bury snapped up by Sheffield United where i win the JPT. Bolton come knocking but they didn't offer me enough game time so West Brom saved me and i became a first team regular. After a couple of seasons i was captain and putting in some great performances that got the attention of AC Milan. 34 million pounds later i was in the Red and Black, and there i've won it all. For Norway i went up through the ranks and the pinnacle was captaining the team at the winning European Championships campaign and the following (less successful) World Cup. Who knows what the future holds? :D
