Not sure who you originally had in mind, but Robinho is not a bad pick at all jake. I wouldn't want to be the right-side CB having to worry about Messi and Robinho. Very different approach to Ljungberg's as well.

Ran out of ideas? I had a list of over 20 keepers but decided on Barthez as soon as Blanc was in the team. But now I'm wishing I'd gone for XXXXXXXX or YYYYYYY instead

Robinho was a solid player for Real Madrid. Bar Raul and RVN he was their top scorer and 2nd most assists as well during his time there.

For an "best of CL" draft he obviously isn't better of a pick than Nani but if he fits his tactic then he certainly would produce goals and assists.

Robinho offers goals, and cuts inside a lot more than most wingers, which gives room for Sagnol to bomb forward. I'll probably play him out on the right, as I think Carlos will need more defensive cover then Sagnol, and Ljungberg is better defensively.

At his inspired best he could be unplayable. It just happened rarely, to a great extent due to mismanagement and attitude/mentality problems. It may well be it was mismanagement OF rather than mismanagement AND, he never seemed to have a manager who could handle him properly.They were always disciplinarians and I don't think that's what got him going.

I can see him and Messi tearing several new ones into both the RB and RCB. It is fair to say he had no discernible "peak" though.
