Agreed. Last fight was great just thinking Okolie fight will be a banger with them being friends etc. Probably completely wrong
Okolie is drab most of the time. A lot of awkward punches from miles away then hugging anyone that gets inside. Works for him because he's so long. He does have pop though, so you never know. Could be some drama.

Conlan out of his depth.

Lopez far too strong for him in there. Showed him no respect and got the vicious knockout. Glad Conlan is ok.

Drab is generous, he’s boring as feck. By comparison, Catterall is a really watchable boxer and he looked sweet tonight.

Feels like boxing is doing itself a disservice having events on BT, Sky, and Dazn all at the same time. The sport is retracting in popularity as it is, without dividing the eyeballs between themselves with scheduling

Okolie is frustrating. Physically he's a unit, bull like strength, fast, can punch. Just doesn't put together enough combinations..it's all lunging swings. Falls in then grabs. Repeat.

Yes, it's shocking. That's boxing. Constantly making poor decisions. Too many egos involved looking out for themselves.

You know Okolie would be a sweet MMA fighter if he learnt the ground game. Great wrestling and dirty boxing. Can't fault the way he leverages opponents to the ropes using his body. If that was a cage and he could hold them and chuck some elbows he'd be in business.

I was kind of hoping linking up with Sugar Hill would bring more combinations, fluidity, consistent pressure. No such luck yet.

Still...he's getting the jobs done. I don't think he'll become a superstar like this but he can be effective at the top level.

I watched him live once and he battered some fecker in no time. Has he actually ever fought anyone decent though? I don’t know his record but he always seems to be a heavy favourite every time he fights

Okolie just escaped there. Billam lost composure. Big chance missed but Okolie is gone, will take more than a minute to fully recover. Another chance for Billam start of next round.

Keep Holdin', Holdin', Holdin', Holdin' (uh)
Keep Holdin', Holdin', Holdin', Holdin' (what?)

Dear oh dear. Falling apart a bit from Okolie. Point off. He probably went out to a 3-0 lead but that has gone.

Why did nobody teach Okolie how to setup his work?

Billam's problem is he's trying to be quite precise. Waiting for the big counters. Shouldn't let rounds slip away with inactivity. His defences are good but he does let Okolie swing and hold without responding enough.

This is difficult for the ref because the corner just keeps shouting at him & Smith is stopping in between

Lara a little buzzed but not anywhere like Okolie was.

2-0 Wood with a 10-8 too.

Wood completely in control. Think Lara missing weight has made him more sluggish rather than stronger.

Gonna be pretty hard for Okolie to get that.

Back to the drawing board. Needs more respect for the technique of boxing instead of trying to strong man everything and get one punch KOs.

Thanks, lads! Seconded your tip and followed Okolie, a decent and entertaining fight.

I wonder what other boxers think of this fight. Okolie has held a lot but clearly Smith & his team were expecting that & have played on it. I don’t like to see boxers crying to the ref

I reckon the ‘boxers’ out there will look at Okolies charge-and-hold shite and think it’s a good thing he’s been punished for it

Okolie was his usual messy self, but was hard done by with 2 false knockdowns.

I suppose when you forward wrestle like he does, you run that risk

CBS fought a smart fight. Seemed to have every angle covered. Defended Okolie's swings, landed some big counters, and really gritted it out. Nasty cut too. His work rate was a bit low, he needed those knock-downs, but I guess who cares, he got them. A bit of luck with the refs calls on the knock-downs perhaps.

Yeah they exploited Okolie holding, but it's like sending in a bad tackle and the other team alerting the ref. Looks annoying.. but ultimately don't send in the bad tackles. That's where the fault lies. Can't really fault the guy pointing out the consistent cheating more then the guy doing it.

Delighted to see Okolie get called on his incessant holding. Honestly, one of the most frustrating fighters to watch.

Hopefully he'll sort out his technique moving forward instead of relying on cheating to scrape wins

Hard to keep track of Wood while watching that. Every time I look up Wood seems to be outboxing him.

Looks like a near shut out for Wood with a knockdown too. Easy, boxed completely at his own pace - like sparring.

Lara horrendous, not sure he was all there tonight.
