@Fortitude it's not overrating of GGG in my opinion as much as Canelo just doesn't have the right tools

Style make fights and Canelo doesn't have the right style to beat GGG imho

Jacobs for example, i think he'd beat GGG in a rematch. Only reason he lost is that he fought stupidly for the first 6 rounds
Hard for Jacobs to beat GGG. GGG had that jab in Jacobs face all night and Jacobs wasn't aggressive enough. He had a big size advantage but was very cautious to use it and with good reason. The more aggressive he'd get he'd likely get caught and perhaps dropped again.

That fight was fairly close, but I think people have given too much credit to Jacobs (I like him a lot too fwiw) since he wasn't blasted out. GGG hadn't lost more than a round in a fight since his early days so to see close rounds and that I think people assumed GGG was losing them. Think Kovalev suffered the same fate against Ward since he was so dominant early and hurt and buckled Ward people saw Ward doing better and by default gave him rounds he didn't really come close to winning.

It's as free as any fight post-Calzaghe/Lacy on ITV to be fair.

Terence Crawford v Felix Crawford

Gervonta Davis v Liam Walsh

Live on Box nation this Saturday night.

Davis misses weight twice! Made weight having lost the required 2 onzes after being given an extra couple of hours.

Should be fairly routine for Crawford and a test for Davis though I'd expect him to win without too much trouble especially after the class he showed in his last fight vs Pedraza.

Davis looks good but I'll be rooting for Walsh as I can't stand that narcissistic prick Mayweather "promoting" fighters when he's really just using it as a vehicle to talk about himself. He was an embarrassment all around the DeGale-Jack fight. Rant over.

Felix Diaz is a very good fighter and to the eyes of most he clearly beat Lamont Peterson, beat a good prospect in Sammy Vasquez and is an Olympic Gold medalist. Having said that, Crawford is just on a different level (for my money 2nd only to Lomachenko on the pound for pound lists)and should dispatch him in an entertaining, but fairly one sided bout.

Tank Davis is going to kill Liam Walsh, the guy is a monster who looks like he was born to be a fighter

Anyone see Zelfa Barrett's fight tonight? Beat a guy (who drew with Kiko Martinez last year) with ease including two big knockdowns, really promising talent from Manchester.

Looks promising but I wouldn't read too much into the win. Osejo lost his following 2 fights after that draw and has lost 21 fights over the course of his career.

Yards about to fight.

He's against a glorified punching bag. Hobbs has been caught twice in each round where he has turned himself away from Yarde and not seen a heavy right hand coming. Terrible fundamentals.

Yeah he's poor. What's that, 6 knockdown? Yarde could end this any time he likes.

Animal. Not sure what these commentators were on about for most of that contest. Walsh was outclassed and barely looking to engage throughout. It was inevitable.

Crawford - Diaz later tonight.
Brook - Spence Jr next week - what do you reckon to this one lads?
Smart money is on Spence. Was a 50/50 fight if it happened prior to the Golovkin fight. But having gone up to 160 (and now back down) and the damage taken in that fight, you have to give the edge to Spence.

Yeah I have to agree with that. I'd definitely gave Brook the edge pre GGG but I just can't get that fight and the fractured eye socket out of my mind. The weight cut he's done many times before but he was massive prior to this camp ànd I just worry making weight will affect him too much....
