OK fair enough. But if you are going to move up to a division where you are physically smaller, you need to bring exceptional physical attributes, in boxing, speed and/or power, does Murray have those?
He can't fight at a high level at 168 unfortunately, doesn't have the power. Can still be involved in good domestic fights though.

Surely Groves is, or is close to, being written off as a nearly man?
Dunno if JdG v Groves is really box office, irrespective of de Gale's resurgence, but then again, if AJ can command £17ppv, I can see why they are trying to line up other 'stars'.
But Joshua if fighting bums and charging £17. Fair enough he's a star, but another walking punchbag's been lined up today.

Is this guy really slow or is Joshua just really quick (im guessing bit of both?)

Wahoo round four. Value for money!

Lasted longer than I thought. Wondering who would be a good fight to actually test Joshua and put him on the defence.

Does body fat not matter all that much in terms of boxing fitness? One thing I've noticed with Joshua's fights is how much leaner than everyone else he looks. The guy today looked like he ate regular takeaways. Fury is similar.

Joshua is maginificant. Fast, skillfull and tremendous power. Breazeale is a very good heavy weight himself, but Joshua is from another planet.

Lol Breazeale isn't very good. Only have to watch his last fight with 60 year old Amir Mansour to see that.

Wlad - Fury told a different story to what their bodies suggested.

Christ, he's not. The guy doesn't even have the basics down.

Man, that's the fight I wanna see, Haye v Joshua. Sky put the rankings up on screen and he's #3 for Joshua's belt already.

Haye should bang out lets go champ pretty quick then if he does an easy night try and poach Parker before Joshua has to do him.

Anyone up to watch Keith Thurman vs Shawn Porter? Should be an interesting fight. Backing Thurman for the victory, will likely go to the scorecards.

Was a great fight that glad Sky had it on. Hope there's a rematch, both were equal in ability it seemed and Thurman edged it on the night. It's how boxing should be....2 fighters of a similar level going at it, not these constant mismatches we've had in the last few years. Eddie Hearn could do with watching this.

As for the Joshua card the whole thing was a waste of time in all honesty.

Whyte fight was poor

Conor Benn is a young fighter so it's hard to judge him

Eubank Jr is fighting nobodies really and now wants to step up a level to fight GGG? It's just odd, like I said previously the only thing I think is he thinks he can hang with GGG for a few rounds so his stock doesn't fall to badly. A loss isn't a bad thing if you put on a good show, look at Porter last night for example.

Groves vs Murray was a decent fight but as has been said I think Murray was shown up at that weight and a good point by @Classical Mechanic that Murray probably is used to sell a JDG vs. George Groves fight again down the lines. I think Groves would lose that though he was struggling massively towards the end of the fight last night.

Joshua just really needs to step up opponent, that was a human punching bag last night, I think he could of ended it any time after the 3rd really but wanted some fitness. There's no way Breazeale etc are on his level. It's laughable he called out Fury at the end as well....they know he's fighting someone else. He'll fight another fighter who's ranked and unbeaten but not that good. It's just predictable at this point. I can almost hear Hearn talking up this unknown bum as some super fighter already, going through the IBF Rankings there's an unbeaten fighter called Jarrell Miller who fits the Hearn mantra - American, unbeaten, knocks people out. I can see it being him (i don't know anything about the guy just saw he's unbeaten), then a fight with Haye after that in 2017. For me he just needs interesting fights, there's no interest in the fights for me. I looked at the crowd last night and it was still empty seats for Groves vs. Martin. I can't udnerstand how people go to a Joshua fight just for him when it could end any second.

Oh and his Dad with that towel was a bit odd!! Wouldn't let it go.

Don't know much about the boxing federations and procedures but aren't there mandatory defenses? Surely Joshua can't just continue to pick his fights himself? What are all these rankings for?

The towel thing was bizarre

He doesn't have to fight his mandatory til November (I think) so this defence was a voluntary defence. Basically cos Joshua wasn't mandatory he was allowed 1 voluntary defence in the meantime which he took. I don't even know who or if the IBF has a mandatory yet to be honest.

@Oggmonster

The card was a joke for a PPV. Hearn is good at the game alright but he is putting me off boxing a bit.

Yeah Hearn just annoys me cos he spews such bullshit and a lot of people do lap it up. It's so frustrating that he has a lot of top fighters in his stable as you know they're really never going to get brilliant fights as soon as they get a title. It's shite for the sport when there is so many fights that could be made. Eubank and Joshua are prime examples of it. I appreciate Joshua is young in his career but Hearn chose to make him a world champion so that excuse doesn't really stick. World Champions should be fighting good opposition, I'll give him last night was his first defence and a lot of people do that but he surely can't keep doing this.
