Quigg is one of my favourite matchroom fighters but I have to back Frampton here. Before their last fights, I had Frampton as the clear favourite. Their last performances has made it look like a pick'em pretty much. I think the best version of Frampton beats the best version of Quigg, though.

Frampton has the superstar quality agreed. It could be a vicious 12 rounds, with Frampton the winner by decision.

Agree, but he was still the best available opponent for Kovalev. Hopefully Kovalev fights Ward next. We all know the Stevenson fight isn't happening.

Yeah don't disagree there. Point was more that we all knew the result before hand really. Hopefully he fights Ward I agree it's an interesting match up there if it happens.

Joining in on Quigg Frampton stuff can't wait for it. Hopefully Quigg does it but it is to hard to call really.

Frank Bruno announces his intention to return to boxing.

He did so on ITV's This Morning.

Phillip Schofield asked him, "Is this a good idea?" To which Bruno replied, "I haven't got a choice. I train every day."

This REALLY won't end well.

For his own good I'd hope no one ever clear him to fight. Mentally he's not fit more than anything. Be terrible to see really.

Bruno looks in tremendous shape!

At his age and with his mental health, I hope nobody lets him fight.

British Board will turn Bruno down. He might have to go for another comission ala Haye vs Chisora when they fought.

Interesting decision by Khan, I expect Alvarez to win this but will be a good fight.

Should be a good fight, should hopefully lead on to Brook vs Khan and GGG vs Canelo as well.

If he loses, he definitely fights Brook. If he wins, he might stall.

GGG/Canelo is a fight I can't see being made. GGG wins unless some sort of catchweight is agreed to which puts GGG at a disadvantage, but I can't see Golovkin's camp going for that.

It's a good fight for Khan. Gets very good money and doesn't look bad if he loses.

Only downside is potential brain damage.

Khan win would be momentous, could set up a mega fight against GGG. Glad Khan's stopped chasing the TMT/Pac-Man dream and he's now focusing on getting back on track with his career.

Meanwhile Brook will be fighting some no mark in Sheffield while claiming to be on Khans level and Khan ducking him... For Canelo ffs.
Puts the criticism of Khans purse demands into perspective when he can break negotiations and agree to the biggest fight of the year in Vegas.
Hes worth 10x what Brook is worth.

Fair fecks to Khan, obviously he'll get money for it but this really is a risky decision. He struggles with punches at lower weights and jumps up to a higher weight? A lot of respect for him for taking it. Meanwhile Brook is probably fighting the local plumber or something.

Isn't the division 154 lbs?

It's a catchweight mate so they won't be in the restrictions of the usual limits. Usually they're bollocks and are done to benefit 1 fighter (which in theory this does with Canelo in fairness to Khan.) But I'd like to see this fight so not c omplaining.

I thought as much but they are still fighting for the 154 lbs title, right?

Unbelievable. Credit to him for taking it, but I refuse to see how Khan wins this fight. He's going to get mowed down.

Meanwhile Brook is fighting some tomato can called Bizier

Hearn talks about it a the end of this video here. Whole interview is pretty generic shite really but the Khan stuff is in the last 5 or 6 minutes if interested.

Fair fecks to kahn that's a risky fight at that weight with his chin issues
Could be an absolute epic tho, can't wait for it!

Fair play to Khan
Meanwhile Kell Brook is fighting someone who was beaten twice by somebody Brook already beat

Title fights at a catchweight...what a steaming pile of shit. Khan has done absolutely nothing to deserve a crack at the middleweight belt either. But it'll be a fun fight so I'll doubtless get over my righteous indignation soon :). I'll be very surprised if Khan lasts the full twelve rounds.

Khan - Canelo. Great fight. Khan will have a huge speed advantage over Canelo and will have to stay long to win, he only has a slight reach advantage though. Canelo will likely knock him out.

Can you imagine GGG vs Khan? Dear oh dear.

Khan has balls, that's for sure.

I like the decision, even though it's a massive risk for him, it shuts up Hearn/Brook for a while. I mean when the feck is he ever going to step up for a big fight?

Criticise Canelo if anyone. Khan has spent most of his career at lightweight and is well known for his suspect chin. Canelo knows that Khan brings an audience and therefore money. He sees this as an easy fight for good money.

Can't lose fight for Queen Khan. Surprised Canelo wanted it.....but possibly gains him a minor British fanbase from it as mentioned above where he's still kind of a non-entity.

I'm always against catchweight as well but at least it makes for an entertaining fight. Khan doesn't deserve it I agree but the problem with boxing at the moment is we're given so much shit to watch that I'm all for this one. Look at someone like Conor McGregor he's walked straight into a lightweight title shot with never fighting anyone but it's genuinely exciting to see. I'm looking forward to Khan vs Canelo because it's actually 2 good boxers and 2 good names fighting which it feels like ages since we got one, especially on a world stage.

Yeah there's little career risk for Khan really I agree. Fair play to him for stepping up though. In a division where actual champions (i.e. Billy Joe Saunders) are terrified to fight GGG and someone who's stepping up 2 weight classes goes and fights Canelo it really does show up a lot of boxers this. If anything win or lose Khan can spin it into a positive for himself.

Just realised Khan is stepping up two weight classes. He's going to be destroyed. One weight class is doable, two is mental.

Canelo has only ever looked really poor against one opponent, Mayweather (one of Floyd's best victories, if not his best).

He struggled against Lara as well (a lot of people think he lost the fight.)I'd probably say that's the worst he looked but it's all opinions at the end of the day. Agreed he looked poor vs. Mayweather but he's not the only 1 to struggle there.

True, not a fight I managed to see live though, just highlights. Can't really comment.

The Mayweather one was a surprise -- not that I expected Floyd to lose, but didn't expect Canelo to be so underwhelming.

Either way, the step up in weight is a massive ask for Khan. I wonder if he can be as explosive at 155 as he is at 147. I doubt it.

Also, doesn't Canelo swell in weight after the weigh in? Weighing about 160 or something during the Mayweather fight, if you believe Floyd's camp.

There's big difference with McGregor. McGregor's already cleared out most of his division in the UFC and only has Frankie Edgar left to face. He's also a big Featherweight and has fought at lightweight outside the UFC so matching him up with Dos Santos is for me not quite the same as this.

Khan's got plenty of fights left in the Welterweight division. He's yet to fight Kell Brook, Keith Thurman and he could face Danny Garcia again.

Canelo should be fighting GGG. That's the obvious fight in the Middleweight division. I don't think Canelo fighting Khan first adds any further anticipation to that fight.
