Would love to see Ward v Kovalev at 175. I think Ward is fantastic but Kovalev's attack is unstoppable, I think he wins that fight.

Didn't think the Pascal fight was a robbery - I had him a round up but you could make an argument for a draw.

Perspective. Klitschko is 39, Tyson Fury is just 26, he may be huge and look older but that's all he is, about Joshuas age!!! When Wlad was about 27 he was getting knocked out in some arena in Germany to Corrie Sanders and again later to Brewster. Not fighting the guy who held all the belts in a 50,000 stadium abroad having fought at the O2 in London before. And one of his fights was meant to be at the MEN so again, fail. And lets not forget, had David Haye not gotten injured that was a stadium fight seller too. But again, you miss the point, like Floyd v Hamed that you're trying to kick off, I don't care about the PPV or ticket numbers, its about the whole package, press, comments, ring entrances, boxing in the ring etc as well as the stadiums or titles they fight for. Wlad is boring, Mayweather too me is boring, both in and out the ring certainly for Klitschko, that is what I was on about first post, not how many muppets by it on tv. Westlife and Boyzone sold massive units, means F all to me mate. Last fight I paid for was Khan v Prescott in MEN, look how that turned out, never paying for tv again.

You contradict yourself (and ironically say "fail" to me at the same time) Fury vs. Haye was meant to be at the MEN however never happened, although again Haye had more pulling power than Fury at that point. How was it a stadium fight seller? A) It was in an arena and B) Before it was cancelled tickets were changing hands for pretty much face value from what I remember (I was offered some for 50 quid each.)

If YOU don't care about PPV numbers or ticket numbers then good for you, I guarantee Tyson Fury does though and he'd probably admit it himself, it's his job...that's his source of income. It's a very odd perspectie to take, as well as calling people muppets for buying a fight on TV....which I'm sure everyone in this thread has probably done! Ring entrances is a very odd thing to take so seriously which you seem to do as well, yeah they can be good to watch but they're hardly the be all and end all of boxing, surely that's the boxing? If you dint Wlad boring fair enough but then its not his fault, he pretty much always wins and wins well.

Sure, he's the long time champ with all the belts, but on excitment/buzz, Fury is clearly ahead as seen in the presser reactions, this again is the point!!!! Tyson is still just getting started, he may well lose and may not win all the belts but at this stage, similar ages he is ahead IMO as stated above.

He's been beating 3 times so someone was obviously good enough to beat him, lol.

Calm down....I didn't say Fury wasn't hyping up the fight well, you're very defensive about him really. The point I made is that Wlad is the selling point of the fight which is true, he'll be getting more money for the fight, he's the champion and it's in his "adopted" country, it's obvious he's the selling point. Fury is generating a buzz and I never disputed that. Personally though and it seems unlike you I rate boxers on their boxing ability, not how they talk, I think it's funny someimes (don't find Fury funny in the slightest though) but it's all a bit WWE for me at times.

He obviously can lose as he has in the past but lets not be pedantic, he's not lost a fight in over 10 years and has pretty much won most of them convincingly.

Yeah, can see why many would hate Fury, Hamed or Mayweather over Wlad but there the dull ones who forget the best days of boxing involved Eubank, Hamed, Mike Tyson and the crazy drama like Lewis rolling about with boxers. They're the kind of people who get steamed up when they hear fans booing a football team or boxers national anthem and need to get a grip, not watch paint dry. If none of those moments existed or we didn't have Haye or Fury etc now then I'd rather take Mayweathers crap over what Klitschko comes out with, that's how bad he is. Boring inside, boring outside the ring, robotic is a good term. Joshua is for better in the ring than Fury to watch but like Hearne says, he's had media training from the olympics and not really like that, so very Wlad like, diplomatic but without the patronising. Fury is making boxing interesting, weather he turns out to be any good or not. We'll see.

What's your obsession with generalising everyone? Because someone might not like Fury or Naz they're dull? I think Fury is an absolute tit but I don't care if people boo a football team? Such a weird comparison to make. Maybe, and here's a shock for you, people have a different opinion to you?

You like Fury? Fair enough, I hope you enjoy the fight but don't just go round calling everyone boring or whatever if they have a different opinion to you.

Watched Kovalev last night, he was hugely impressive. The fight could have been stopped a round earlier.

As for Fury vs Klitschko -- Klitschko wins. I'd rather have seen Fury vs Joshua tbh and then the winner take on Povetkin, and perhaps Klitschko after that. Although Joshua's career is being managed very well by Hearn, so facing Fury this early was never going to happen.

I just can't see anything other than a Klitschko win tbh, although Fury does have a puncher's chance.

I've never seen him look anything less than hugely impressive, tbh. Such a beast.

Read some reports yesterday saying that a fight vs. Beterbiev is in the pipeline for later on this year. I'm quite surprised they're making that without buliding up Beterbiev a bit more, but it's not like I'm complaining. Potential fight of the year candidate if it goes ahead.

Yep, Kovalev ducking Adonis and going for the easier fight.
Sometimes I hate boxing
Edit:maybe the sarcasm didn't come through well in that post!

Anthony Small has got off.

SMALL: BOXING CHAMPION CLEARED OF PLOTTING TO JOIN ISIS
h-r.gif

EAST HAM; BECKENHAM; SHADWELL A former British and Commonwealth champion was today (TUES) cleared of plotting to join the Islamic State in Syria. Anthony Small, 33, was accused of selling five pairs of boxing gloves to fund his travel only to back out of the plan at the last minute when he broke his hand. His friends, 'Britain's first white Muslim terrorist' Simon Keeler, 44, and Michael Coe, 34, were stopped at Dover by armed police as they tried to sneak across the Channel in the back of a truck. But all three were cleared of preparing terrorist acts after a two-month trial at the Old Bailey.

And for my money Beterbiev has looked even better in each fight than Kovalev has. Can't see that contest happening just yet - think Kovalev will want Stevenson or Ward next. If it does happen, Jesus. Standby for a classic.

WBA has ordered a rematch for Crolla. Hopefully he does it this time, still can't see it happening though myself.

Beterbiev is the second best LH around, a much better boxer than Adonis but not as rounded as Kovalev (who is an underrated technical boxer). Shame that Kovalev will struggle to get a fight organised against Beterbiev or Adonis due to the likelihood that Haymon will not let them fight on HBO. Sick of the politics in boxing and this PBC tripe is only making it worse.

Just watched this short (7min) vid on the man often accredited with pioneering defensive boxing, Wille Pep. Worth a quick share I thought.

Anyone else watching tonight's contests?

I caught Whyte to see if he warrants the hype for this 'grudge match' that Hearn is trying to sell us. It was a first round KO against an over matched opponent unsurprisingly, but he looked to have tight and learned technique from the little I saw. I will tune in for the main bout.

Terrible call on the towel coming in for Prince Ofotsu then by the corner an against Ricky Burns.

ridiculous stoppage from the corner.

Aye. Hope Rose can pull it off but these tactics are worrying given how many times he's been dropped in fights before.

Rose overly grunting during every shot is hilarious to me.
He must think he's playing tennis or something

if rose had any power, this would be over.

Jim Watt spends the first minute saying Rose is fighting the wrong fight then the next 2 saying how great his work is and has him 5 points up on the scorecard

I'm surprised he hasn't said "fight in short bursts" yet.

Fecking messy one, but entertaining. Rose's nose didn't look pretty.

Coming from East Yorkshire, this whole 'Rumble on the Humber' thing has made me chuckle. The glamour!

Keep Kell Brook off the TV, great fighter but his voice is just horrible to listen to.

Sky Boxing need to beg Ian Darke to come back post haste. Him and Paulie Malignaggi would be an ideal pairing. If Paulie is busy, draft Froch in as he has been very good too in the small doses I've seen.

Cracking start to this one. Bit of a wrestling match!

Nice to see a bit of edge in these last couple of fights, after the bell shots etc...Love a bit of needle.

Campbell is just another amateur that won´t make it in the pros. Coyle is all heart, no skill. Campbell should have started backing him up a long time ago. Put him in with somebody that has some skill to go along with the pressure and Campbell´s getting laid out.

Luke Campbell is an elite level fighter. Stoppage or not here. Everything is technically superb. Counters are accurate and delivered with lightning speed. Got a perfect blend of amateur pedigree with professional delivery.

Agreed.
