Can't let the points be too close at the end, too corrupt to trust the judges

AND THE NEW!

Haymon paid a lot of money to promote this fight, judges will probably favour Dirrell. Although it's been his fight outside of the knockdowns.

That was a thoroughly enjoyable fight.

I have Dirrell winning a razor sharp decision.

EDIT: That second knockdown wasn't a knockdown, but could prove to be decisive.

Degale won that for me, last 2 rounds saved it. Just waiting for the controversy though.

It's stateside, so he'll probably get a 3-4 point swing in his favour.

Great fight, though.

117 - 109 what fight were you watching?

Did I seriously hear 117-109? That guy DKSAB

I get it, James, you're glad you won, but no SMW could beat you? Get a grip lad

That puts the bed the myth not getting a decision in a home town.

Al Haymon was behind this fight. What creates greater revenue, an unpopular American fighter or a popular British one?

I thought that De Gale won the fight legitimately. Jim Watt scored one round for Dirrell when he hardly landed a punch! Watt seems to like to second guess what he thinks American judges will do. Personally I would have been amazed to see a wide Dirrell victory.

What do you expect him to say in terms of confidence and business, "yeah Groves after the knock out would beat me"

I know what you're saying, and I agree with it, but Ward was the one I'm thinking about. I know he's going up to LHW, but if he were to fight Degale, it'd be the most one sided fight we've seen a British fighter in since... Well, Froch vs Ward.

Yep, there are one or two others I think would beat DeGale as well, but Ward is the best in that division. Disappointed to have missed this fight, can't believe I forgot it was on. Well done DeGale.

If GGG vs Froch can't be made, then GGG vs DeGale might be a pretty cool matchup. I can't see James wanting his first title defence (in the UK, hopefully) against Golovkin.

Not sure that's a fight DeGale would want, wouldn't win imo. GGG is a beast.

I think GGG will have all these back foot boxers at 168 on toast tbh (with the Ward match-up being a pick'em). Footwork is seriously the best I've ever seen for a come forward fighter.

It depends what it pays and what other fights pay. Boxing is a lucrative business at the top level. It isn't that boxers are afraid to get in the ring with fighter a,b or c, it is that they believe they can make more money elsewhere.

De Gale's boxing ability is something that GGG has never seen, let alone the physical differences in James's favour. I doubt that De Gale is 'afraid' of GGG. If anything, I think that naturally bigger boxers would be confident of exposing Golovkin's come forward style.

Assuming Groves wins the WBC belt from Jack, I'd LOVE LOVE LOVE! to see Groves vs DeGale II

Typical Degale, huge moments in his latest fights but despite winning, he went back to take too many rounds off.

Great for him because he's added power to his game and there's still more to come. Deserved the win.

Degale Groves 2 would be a huge fight but I can see both men fancying an easy defence first. Eddie Hearn could have another stadium gig next year alongside Khan Brook.

Is anyone bothering to pay for the Kell Brook card this weekend? I'd watch it if it was on Sky Sports but I can't justify paying 15 quid for that card! Except Kevin Mitchell every fight has a pretty clear winner it seems. Can't see how they can put them fights on box office...Khan fighting as well but can't see him losing either, wouldn't of minded at least 1 of the cards on Sky Sports.

Not this end @Oggmonster - a shame too because these fights could all be very watchable and probably lead their own events compared to the domestic cards Eddie has been throwing on Sky lately.

Yeah I'd definitely watch if it was on SS1 for example, just seems ridiculous to have it on Box Office. I was watching Ringside last week and they were trying to sell Brook vs Gavin as some close fight...until Gavin's interview where he basically implied he'll lose. I'm curious t see what the numbers will be watching, cant imagine it will be to high.

I'll guess less than the amount of river views...

Can't see Brook v Khan happening.
When Hearn entered the ring after brooks routine return win and started calling Amir out, it looked like the last throw of the dice. Challenge him in front of the world to shame him into accepting. Would imply negotiations were going nowhere.
I really don't like Hearn

It's not even £15, it's £17. Doubt I'll even bother finding a stream for it.

Khan Algieri intrigues me though. Been a while (first time ever?) since Khan has faced someone with a better jab than him. Big fan of Algieri, hope he puts in a good showing and makes it a fun fight.
