The Real Caftards Fantasy League 2012/13

49 points with Ben Arfa still to play. Good result in such a low scoring week! Im a bit annoyed that Cazorla managed to get just 5 points in Arsenal's demolition of Southampton though, after making him captain at the last moment.

I just don't get why I have become so unutterably shit at this, considering last year I was always in the Top 20 and broke into the top 10 from time to time.

I don't have a bad team but it's just not working out...:(

That's the kind of year I had last year. Never got on any good runs. You look at your team and your think it looks very good and week after week it never hits it peak.

I was afraid to login after the weekend........and I was right. Only 24 points, and I'll only get another 2 from my bench

Didn't do too bad this week, 51 points once my subs come on.

Regretting not putting Berba in, but was a bit transfer happy the last couple of weeks so I thought I'd save 4 points.

Thought I did awful. Haven't managed the team for two weeks. 42 points so far, Howard and Ba yet to play, Heitinga is the 2nd sub and Kacaniklic is the first sub and he'll come on automatically for Valencia.

Is there a UCL one?

62 pts this gameweek, pretty decent return and now 2nd in RedCafe league. Well, that will change a couple of times before the season ends!

Tip: Spurs & Newcastle has great upcoming fixtures. Invest.

I miss the days when Chirag used to PM codes. There was real interest in the CL fantasy league back then. Nowadays it's just a free for all - anyone can join!

That said, I'm in :D

Not a bad start 17th so far. But had to use my wildcard this week, 5 injureds with a few of those out for a few weeks. Bringing in Berba, RVP, Michu, Nolan and a few more.

Baines & Fellaini have got me 20 points so far, still another 9 players to go. Need a good scoring week to raise me in the league.

All my defenders scored! Rafael - Clyne - A.Cole - Lescott.

Slowly climbing up all tables...

No idea who to make my captain this week, a lot of players have quite tough games coming up. Any suggestions? Team is:

Howard,

Rafael
Ivanovic
Shawcross

Fellaini
Y. Toure
Kagawa
Hazard

Tevez
Podolksi
Berbatov

Bench: Jenkinson, Rangel, N. Dyer (suspended)

N. Dyer won't be suspended for next weekend as he sits out league cup game.

Everton looks a strong bet next weekend.

I'm temporarily down to 7th in league but here's hoping for a great weekend to come ;)

Currently 2nd in the league, 10 points behind PJ's XI.

I'm on your tail son

(Mind you, I have no idea who to captain for the next gameweek)

Ah, didn't realise that, cheers.

Yeah I went for Fellaini originally so going to stick with that I think. Got Kagawa as vice just in case, I can see him doing well this weekend.

Shit, I've been piss poor the last three weeks, had to pull out a wild card to sort things out. Looking forward to next round.

Would you rather have Kagawa, Valencia or Nani in midfield? I have 8.8 for a mid but given the situation with Rooney's return (threat to Kagawa) and Valencia's recent injury(?) which might prove a beneficial opportunity to Nani.

Kagawa was to be my secret weapon this year, based on his record in Germany and what I saw in pre-season games. Unfortunately he's now struggling to get his share of the ball and looks a lightweght, so I've sold until such time as we change our game to suit him.
Valencia, according to the Mail, is currently in a protective boot.
Nani is a great winger, but his form is cyclical, and his last game was dire.
So for less than 8.5 you're looking at Yaya, Fellaini, Pienaar or Ben Arfer, or take a gamble like Morrison and spend the difference elsewhere.

No matter who I bring in, my team is still shit and can't score over 50 points in a week.

I was thinking of putting Tevez as the captain, but Mancini gets my nerves every time with his tinkering of strikers. Might just drop Tevez as soon as I can for someone else.

Took the gamble and sold Tevez for Jelavic, had to take a -4 hit as had already got rid of Michu for Ben Arfa but the gamble paid off. Watch the Olypians blaze a trail suckers.
