The New Kits Thread

RoI do, or did.

Yeah we've had a few. Now companies pay us not to put their name on our shirts.

All Intl kits have a number where the shirt sponsor for club kits go, so no they don't , and i think it's a good thing too. Prefer having it blank than an insurance company or a beer brand sprawled all over it.

Obviously it's preferable to have none, but economics mean that's not always possible.

It doesn't help that these leaked photos are always just of the shirt laid out flat or, worse, on some weirdly narrow mannequin with token arms. No shirt is ever going to look good if it's not actually being worn by a person/mannequin in decent shape.

'Pologies, beer-bellied match attendees. You're all beautiful too.

Last pic with Thiago in a Barcelona kit?

What's with the yellow stuff around the neck and why are they going all Galatasaray with the away kit?

I think the kits look silly to everybody outside of spain, but in the sunshine of spain they fit right in, and the catalan people seem to love them.

Nice to have a bit of difference anyway.

I haven't bought a Barcelona kit in years but I'll be buying both home/away, I love them (Bar the logo)

Fair enough. ITs so funny though how having a kit with just one big flag isn't seen as nationalistic. Wonder what the reaction in Spain etc would be if any team (e.g. real madrid) only had a huge spanish flag on them.

think its such a shame that BArcelona keep on vigorously trying to mix politics and sport together. its shame, no matter who does it.

Ahem

Your point is well taken but we're not talking about a country with equal rights let alone respect for autonomous cultures & regions within greater Spain. Same applies to those in Galicia, Andalucia etc.

It's a shame that for many in Spain, they've been denied their language, culture and identity. Historically, for Catalans, Barça has been an expression of identity.

I think the away Barcelona kit is dreadful.

I like the England home one, and the reported away kit as well, quite simple and I like the '150 years' thingy under the three lions. Simple and clean.

Looks like Blackpool rock

Very nice unfortunately, the badge makes it remind me of our 06-07 home shirt.

Gotta agree with FCBarca here. And to stay on topic, great looking kits for Barcelona!

What the feck is wrong with Messi's right arm in that picture?

Photoshopping skills of a Nursery child, whoever did that.

It's not photoshopped, that's just his wanking arm. ;)

Oddly, Barca's away kit this season rather grew on me. I admit it's probably more difficult to forgive if it's actually your own team. But in a hot country with lots of sunny weather it didn't actually look that bad, especially since Barca don't really have a 'traditional' away shirt colour (in the sense that we normally have white, blue or black these days). I'd rate it higher than some of their weird pastel-coloured away kits from recent years.

Wow those england kits are nice! If only Nike made United's kit as nice as those.

That away one is the United kit with a different badge/collar colour*.

*It is best not to give your opinion on the choice of black collar.

At least now we can get knocked out in early rounds of tournaments looking decent

The England away kit is the same as our new home kit. It looks great with the all red collar, Nike are making some great kits this year.

Strange that Walcott has two white buttons on his shirt

They all have two buttons (look closely at Ashley Cole). I think it is the lighting that made Walcott's second one show up a bit more clearly and not the fact it is white. I think it is the same colour as the one on the other shirts.

Except it isn't. The United shirt has a different collar. It's shorter and its a button down collar.

Im betting the button down was an early version of the design it will probably be the same as the England away kit on release. They use the same template for many kits every year and you can clearly see it's the same template as our home kit.

The England shirt has two buttons, the United shirt has 6, three down the front, two on the collar and one on the back off the collar. It also has two spare buttons in case those pesky Bangladeshi kids didnt sew the others on properly.

Yeah on the leaked pictures that are 6 months old. These new ones are official Nike reveal photo's everything but the buttons on the collar is exactly the same. Guess we will soon see anyway, I could be wrong but id find it weird to see almost the exact same template but for some reason they added more buttons to our kit.

Contrary to that, I wouldn't be surprised to see our kit deliberately being tweaked to make it unique.

Same template with a different collar so that no other club has the same.

Yea I know they have two buttons, a red one, and a white one with red thread resembling st George's cross

Walcotts definitely look white with red thread though
