The New Kits Thread

Okay, so some of us had a really bad experience with evil, child-eating collars in our youth! Get over it.

Other than the fact it's literally a button-down collar, which I don't think I've ever seen on a jersey of any kind before, it's actually a great design and should sell well.

I'm still not reconciled to the idea of a Chevy logo on our shirts starting in 14/15. Who the feck buys Chevy Impalas, Corvettes and Suburbans in the UK? But that's another topic for another thread, I suppose.

So why are you even in this thread if kits designs don't matter?

We've all clicked on this thread to see which new kits look good and which don't. At the moment it appears ours won't again, but that's alright because none of us will be wearing it in a restaurant.

The thing is you'll be wearing it when you're either playing football or watching football so it doesn't really matter... As it happens I don't think it looks bad and I think it's just the hip thing ti criticise every Nike kit as though Adidas in the days of yore were better. Frankly give me one of the Umbro ones any day, all the Adidas kits look chavvy as feck. Anyway, I digress and cider is right.

I think ours looks alright. Don't see what the issue is with a black collar?

Any time this one gets bumped or the United one, you care enough to comment.

You seem to be mistaking my generally taking the piss with caring about whether or not any particular football shirt meets my delicate sensibilities and exacting criteria as a fussy and twinkle-titted fashionista.

Meh.

Shades of black as in - Black, Charcoal, Grey, Slate. Ok more grey/black but you know what I meant.

Much prefer blue and black though

In this incredibly ridiculous thread, a thread in which kits are being discussed as if they're fashion items designed by John Paul Gauttier, I have to say that black and blue should never go together.

Exactly what I thought. A red collar might have made it look more like an England shirt. Not very impressed to be honest, but I do like the basic look they are trying to go for.

feck me, don't be putting a red collar on it. The lads in this thread will never be able to cope with that, how will they find appropriate trouserwear to match?

What exactly is wrong with a black collar on a red United home shirt? It's not the first time we've done it, and some of the previous efforts are classics. The new kit looks spot on. It's simple, red shirt with a collar. No fecking about. The cnuts moaning now are likely the same cnuts who moaned because last seasons had a pattern.

Oh, but the Roma one is better. It's the same fecking design, you twats.

People complain when they overcomplicate things, so they've given us simple. I see nothing wrong there. I'd like to see what it looks like with full numbering and names though.

The whole "simple, classic and minimalistic" look was OK 3 or 4 years ago but it's boring now.

The new United kit looks a bit slim fit. Can imagine middle-aged blokes guts bursting out of it.

Doesn't look too bad, wouldn't mind if Nike used the same template for our shirt.

As for the alleged away shirt, I'm not even going there after the last two pages.

Vauxhall on the training kit but I don't think anyone has a sponsor on the actual kit.

All Intl kits have a number where the shirt sponsor for club kits go, so no they don't , and i think it's a good thing too. Prefer having it blank than an insurance company or a beer brand sprawled all over it.
