The New Kits Thread

nope...it's may and I still don't like the current kit, much much preffered the one before the current one.

And even though this year's was bad, I could atleast "somewhat" get used to them, I detest collars too much to end up "liking" the supposed new one though, regardless of whether we win nothing or the treble..

How can a man feel so strongly about collars?

Ehhh...everything is better with nostalgia.

But that's just me, no jersey's gonna look good to everybody, however many people will probably agree with me when I say that Nike are just throwing out crap for United lately, they should either hire someone who knows what they're doing or United should go for a different shirt sponsor.
Do you just wear a vest with a three piece suit so, or do you go commando?

never liked'em since I was little and I don't like'em now.
never bought a shirt with collars and I'm not about to start.

It's not something I could explain any other way than "I don't like them, they don't look good to me" and that's it, and every possible football jersey you can think of I'd say looks/would look better without a collar

well obviously if I'm going to wear a suit and everything I'd wear it like a normal person, that being said I don't like wearing suits and only do so on "special occasions" which are rare anyway.

Besides, what's so wrong about not liking collars? I frankly couldn't care less about someone being a "collar fan" or not, I just don't like'em, never did and I doubt I ever will, it's just one of those things. I don't wear a watch, necklace, ring or bracelet for that mather either.

Bollocks. The collared shirts we had in the 90's that Eric loved to turn up were fecking great.

There is nothing wrong with our new shirt. Last season people moaned because we had a pattern and everyone wanted a plainer shirt. Now we have a plain shirt and people moan because it has a collar. Next year we'll have a round neck and people will complain because it isn't a v neck, and so on and so forth.

If you don't like it, don't buy it.

No, it's not bollocks. It's my opinion, you don't have to share it, but it doesn't make it any less true.

In my opinion there is something wrong with it, otherwise I wouldn't have complained, and yes ofcourse people moaned about it, it looks bad even after winning title #20 in May.
I love the fact that it's plain, and I would've absolutely loved the new kit if not for the collar, but hey, I dislike'em and that's what rulens it for me.

And that's exactly what I was talking about, I'm not buying it because I don't like it, just like I didn't buy this year's jersey because it's crap.

Why aren't Nike taking OK Gush's acute phobia of collars into account when designing United kits? That's what I want to know! Yet another example of the soulless corporations not giving a fig's hoot about the common man.

fecking Glazers....

If you go out about town or whatever and see a t-shirt that you don't like in a window, do you think to yourself "I fecking hate that shirt. Can't believe it's got a collar on it."?

Away looks good. The home one is horrible and it looked even worse on the players tonight.

It looks like Roma are getting the same shirt as us but with better colouring.

The crappiness of ours is all in the choice of black for the collar. It's a fundamental design faux pas that even amateurs shouldn't be guilty of.

The Roma kit almost confirms our leaked picture then, it's exactly the same design.

Fecking hell, some of you people. How many of you actually wear United shirts as a fashionable item to go out in?

I'd just die if anybody saw me out wearing a shirt with a black collar; what would you team it with? You could try throwing on a pair of dark chinos with a with perhaps a casual evening jacket, stuffing a colourful 'kerchief into the top pocket to set the whole ensemble off, but even then the black collar would be too much of a draw on the eyes causing the otherwise sharp lines of the setting to go largely unnoticed.

So why are you even in this thread if kits designs don't matter?

We've all clicked on this thread to see which new kits look good and which don't. At the moment it appears ours won't again, but that's alright because none of us will be wearing it in a restaurant.

I click the thread so I can have a laugh at ponces like you whinging about collars.

Horrendous United kits once again. The quality of our kits is declining even faster than the quality of our football
