Out camp now. I was a huge Jose fan ever since his arrival on the scene. He's simply not the same manager and has been outdated by younger managers. His style simply hasn't evolved to modern standards. Why we still lump balls to the forward line is beyond me. It's embarrassing. There's atleast 10 players in the squad that shouldn't be there. His signings on the whole have been a major disappointment and I include lukaku in there. He's not a title winning striker and never will be.

I think Jose should resign for his sake. This is heading in same fashion as Chelsea 2015-16.

Outplayed by fecking Derby at home, get fecking gone Jose and take your shithouse tactics with you.

Woodward might stick with him mainly because of how expensive it will be to sack him now. Short sightedness. I don't think things will improve with Jose unfortunately.

Will the fans who want Mourinho gone admit they were wrong when a new manager comes in and does no better with this group? I doubt it. Sacking Mourinho will do nothing, squad needs serious investment.

3rd season in, there has to be positives and a direction. 1st season we were solid in the cups. 2nd season was fairly unremarkable but we finished 2nd and had a bit of improvement in the bigger games. 3rd season we are neither a cup tea nor do we look like bettering our league form from last season. Far from it.

It's not going to start getting better all of a sudden. It's going to just keep getting lousier, like LvG's 2nd season, but with the added sideshow of Jose vs Pogba.

I'd say take action whilst the season can be salvaged, and don't make the mistake we made in Nov/Dec under LvG and ignore it, blindly hoping it gets better.

Had an empty canvas to paint and he just uses black and white, I can only see things spiralling down from here, this so much like his Chelsea third season.

Surely it's mathematically no top four and he's gone.

I want him gone sooner, but it won't happen until then to save money.

I am all for giving him time, but his persistence of playing the focal point approach with Lukaku is wearing thin.

Right now, its either:
Persist with Lukaku - Out
Drop him (Not Fellaini as replacement) - give him more time

Time to go bye bye

Can't even try something different against a Championship team.

I agree on the principal. The club is a total mess but we're at a point that Mourinho himself needs to go so that we start construction of the club.

It's simply not working for him. Has been going from bad to worse. He needs to leave, then loads of changes will need to be made.

Club's in freefall. feck me what a shitshow of a day.

Get the cnut out and back to square one. I'd have anyone in. Benitez, Rolf Harris, you name it.

Which one of Jose signings have been good enough? The squad needs investment yes, the man leading/picking them needs changing too.

Never the right man for Utd but an inevitable response to our situation and obsession with names and star recognition to keep us relevant. LVG was crap but we needed a better, younger version of him rather than going down the Mourinho short term route. More years and money wasted, Zidane would be repeating the same mistake.

There was a time when playing at Old Trafford put the fear of God into any team that came here. Now you hear any manager that turns up saying they are coming to play and on top of that, they have no fear. This above all else is not good enough.

We literally couldn't have done any worse than we have under Jose. Time for a change.
I'm starting to look back at his claim that he would of won us the league in his third year and thinking maybe we had a chance.

We should of pulled the plug during the international break, it clearly isn't working and we are just delaying the inevitable.

If Ed means what he says that we are working tirelessly towards winning trophies then he needs to do something fast.

Almost every team we play is better coached than we are.

Our 'tactics' are nothing more than giving the ball to whichever player is most likely to create something out of nothing (Martial tonight, Pogba against Wolves) and then hoping they produce.

If they can get Zidane in they shouldn't wait a second longer... situation was even more dire when he took over from Benitez at Real Madrid...

That's the first time ever i have been happy we didn't scrape the win - we certainly didn't deserve it.
If this hastens Mourinho's departure then great.
The team is devoid of coaching, attacking organisation, tactics, work ethic and most importantly 'spirit' - we're constantly in the press for all the wrong reasons and are becoming a total laughing stock. The manager and one of our only world class players are at loggerheads constantly.
I'm happy to take a chance on a change of manager - any decent manager should be capable of sorting some of this.
Anyone who thinks Mourinho can turn this around now is deluded.

This...

We are not going to replace the whole squad and it's not working with Mourinho so better we let someone with new ideas have a crack. Yes will probably not work, but we have little to lose at this point

Mourinho can feck off.
Outplayed and outsmarted by his former player who has coached a few months, how fecking sad.
Done with this, hope he gets the sack as soon as poosible.

He deserves that for not getting rid of Jones after his awful FA cup final display. His lost the changing room as expected in his 3rd season.

We don't need serious investment (or a decent manager) to win against Derby or Wolves at home. The guy has lost the dressing room and once he did that he's out

When will we start acting like a major club? Bayern realised that Ancelotti wasn't moving in the right direction and sacked him in September last year and were back on track almost immediately.

Who in there right mind believes that giving Jose more time would actually lead him into bringing us long term success? If not now, then he'll be gone at the end of the season.

Please sack him Ed.

Why. Was. He. Here. In. The. First. Place?

Whoever thought he was a good idea, just why?

I'll admit I really wanted us to get him after Fegie retired and LVG got sacked but this isn't working and Mou shouldn't have been here this season, all the signs were there last season.

Now watch the board sit on their hands and do feck all about it.

I was hoping against hope that we'd get top 4 and we can do a mutual parting of the ways in the summer, but we won't even get that, will we? :(

He has taken this team as far as he can and we will lurch from one crisis to another just like under Moyes and Mourinho will go whether we scrape into the top four or not. This season isn’t going to be fun.

Football has evolved, Mourinho hasn’t. Quick Passing, movement, tempo and pressing are more common and important in this era of football. Standing off teams and allowing them to play means even a team like Derby will outplay you.

We are now in our sixth successive season of Having no attacking plan and just relying on individuals and we simply don’t have the talent for that to be effective. Time after time the oppositions attackers look better than ours even though they often have less ability.

Mourinho is finished here but we will have to endure a season of misery before he is gone.
