I said it before but i doubt we sack him before the end of the season. Hope I'm wrong because the season is heading in only 1 direction

We made a similar mistake with Moyes when it was clear he wasn't good enough long before he got the sack, only to make the same mistake with LVG when we all knew how the season was going to end. The board need to show they have got a pair and sack Jose before it's too late.

Finally bringing myself to vote this.
The lack of activity last summer was no excuse. This is Derby Country, with fricking Lampard as their manager. You don't need to form a new team to beat them at Old Trafford.

The Sevilla game was the final straw for me. The way we set up at home to a side like that? Plans should have been set in motion then. I dont know if he'd have survived that at any other top club.

He would have been sacked immediately after the game at other top clubs.

That game was an embarrassment.

Both legs too. We held on for dear life at Seville.

To everyone who said before the start of the season that the "third season syndrome" was just shite, you still sure about that? Unfortunately due to this club being run by amateur clowns Mourinho is going to drag our club down to the dirt before he gets sacked. We will never challenge for another big trophy as long as we have these owners and Woodward in charge of crucial decisions.

Think I've lost faith today. Every time we go 1-0 up we look lost and vulnerable. That comes from the manager and the tactics.

Also which other top team have a game plan the shape of a giant effing tree? Not one other top four team, across Europe, send on a huge, awkward player in the hope it'll lead to a goal mouth scramble.

He asks for respect, how can you respect this utter dross?

He's one of the very best managers the game has seen and his record speaks for itself. No other coach around has such an impressive haul of trophies. There is certainly no better option out there and that includes Zidane when talking about proven ability. I think we might just need to write-off this season and look forward to the next one. If given the necessary time and support things will certainly improve. I just hope he gets it.

Shades of Moyes vs Fulham there. Same scoreline as well, the difference being it was United with the late goal to make it 2 2 now

It's a matter of money. The second the champions league was mathematically out of reach, Moyes got sacked and Van Gaal got sacked (lasted 1 extra game because of the cup final, but we lost out on CL on the last day). I'd suspect we'll see him sacked when we miss out on CL

Hold on lads, Fellaini's on the case.

Even if we lose now it will be "my boys showed great character to come back with 10 men"...

Let it sink in, this is Derby County shafting us at home. The worst thing, it doesn't even feel like a shock.

Not just Mourinho. Jones, Young, Mata, Valencia, Fellaini (and Pogba if he does not change his attitude) should follow. Some of these players are here for 5, 6, even 9 years, and the last 5 we are stuck in mediocricy. We treat them as sacred fecking cows. Smalling, Rojo and Herrera should be reolaced in 1-2 years too. That's why we should change the manager now, so he can have more time to evaluate the team and use the winter transfer window too. By next year the new team should be prepared.

Didn't that equaliser prove my point just a little? The players are still working their asses off for the manager.

When the manager goes, these will go too. The next manager won't be stupid enough to persist with this dross

He'll also say they're managed by Frank Lampard who was privileged enough to be managed (and learn) by him, a Special one. How could he not give United a tough match?

Well, Fellaini is anyway. Always a consummate professional.

I try to be patient, but Mourinho is really about to scrape the bottom of the barrel now.

Regardless of the result tonight he's done, not sure where we go from here now.

The only time Mouriniho looks like he knows what he’s doing is when he bungs Fellaini on and it seems to be the only thing that saves us against shite opposition all the time. Time for Mouriniho to go I think but sadly this club is about money and as he said himself, the amount we would have to pay him means it’s not even on Woodward’s radar. He’s happy with the club as the brand is doing well and sponsorship revenue.

I'm finally voting for a change.

Not due to anything football related. Simply the club is now more in the news for anything other than football.

Either that or they are working their asses off to spare their own embarrassment at losing at home to Derby fecking County.

Did you see that second half performance? The players aren't playing for Jose, they only decided to start playing when we went down to 10 men and it looked like we might lose. Jose has lost the dressing room.

I'm not even watching the shootout.

It's a sad state of affairs when a last minute equaliser with 10 men doesn't lighten the mood.
Watching us these days is just miserable.

It doesn't explain the wins v Burnley, Watford and Young Boys though.

"As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth. For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof."

Still think @Plechazunga could do better than that, though.

Us winning this match should not save him from criticism or just please leaving.

No matter how the penalty shootout ends, Mourinho has to go, two games at Old Trafford against Championship calibre teams like Wolverhampton and Derby and two lucky draws... And all of that after getting dismantled at home by Spurs... Change is needed and I heard a certain French manager would be available (no, not Arsene  )

I think it's a testament to our player's general ability that they can perform well in spite of the manager's tactical approach. But the good performances are always mixed in with the bad, we're at the point now where it is a 50-50 toss-up as to whether the players will perform well on the day or not, that can only be down to the manager's approach to tactics and player motivation.

I honestly believe Jose has lost the dressing room.

Hopefully that’s it now and tomorrow we get positive news and he’s out.

We can’t rely on Phil Jones to do anything. We have a mediocre squad with a few good players, but the tactics have to reflect what “talent” we have at our disposal.

As someone who never wanted him - that's the most happiest I have been for a loss.

GTFO & go to an underdog team that is meant to play counterattack.
