A bit oversimplistic, no?

You don’t have any issues with the players, Woodward, the board, the owners, the structure of the club, our scouting system?

No one gave a cr*p when LVG said the same exact things about the club.

Whilst Jose has gone the exact same path - the damage is done & he is already distant with his players & taken the club as far as it can go unless we go for a complete football manager type fresh restart to build a new squad.

Not going to happen - the club needs a change & the manager needs to be changed.

Both at fault.

Get a new manager, maybe an ex player who is actually a fan of the club, get a DoF - let' Woodward focus on the money.

@Adisa exactly - damage is done already with Jose.

He's the very definition of a spent force. Very little progress to show for the two years and hundreds of millions of pounds. Get him out.

How does that work though? Half the team that started against Wolves came after LVG.

I guess the players he signed aren't as mentally strong as he wanted either.

But surely you realise that not all of the players that you mention are a problem, in fact most of the players that you mentioned are among the most committed. It's just a terrible excuse that doesn't sustain scrutiny.

To be honest, your first point did cross my mind after i posted as well (Mata and Smalling don't exactly seem like bad guys especially). The depressing realisation that a lot of those players are horrifically average was the thing that struck me most after I wrote it. However, I still maintain that if two highly experienced managers have voiced concerns about the commitment of some of the players then i think it's a concern. Maybe the players Jose has brought in haven't met his standards either

Once Pogba is gone, he will pick fights with other players. Thats how he is. Pull the trigger Ed, sack the twat.

I am certain Jose has taken United as far as he can and we will see no more progress but at the same time I don't feel he deserves the sack so I am perplexed. The United fan in me feels I wouldn't mind trying someone else because this is his limit but the football fan in me feels manager's get sacked for nothing nowadays.

Love how this Pogba Mourinho narrative is taking the spotlight away from the actual problem... how dogshite we actually are :wenger:

Absolutely no attacking coaching whatsoever, this Derby team seem to be better coached than our lads difference is in individual quality.

Feels to me the club needs a change, I blame the players more than the manager but you can't sack the players

I don't see bad coaching, I see lackadaisical players who go 1-0 up and take their foot of the gas and coast. Guilty of this at the weekend, guilty tonight, and guilty of this against the lower teams consistently over the past few seasons.

Don't think you understand the point of coaching

The team is incapable of sustaining attacks. Our opponents have to reach our box before we collect the ball. It's a shit way of playing.

I only see bad coaching . No matter what team we play we play the same shit every time. We never take these games by the scruff of the neck. Ed please set us free.

Doesn't even matter if it's the players. I mean the players are always the first cause of the problem given they're the ones on the pitch (duh!). But the manager has brought in his own men and he's coached them for two seasons prior to this. If they're behaving this way on the pitch - it's just as much down to him as them at this stage (in terms of who's responsible).

Anyone that thinks coaching has nothing to do with our malaise is lying to themselves. I'm not saying Mourinho going would solve all our issues but come on!
We are constantly outplayed by teams regardless of who they are.

Today : who cares about that nothing cup anyway
Winter : who cares about the CL anyway
Also winter: who cares about the PL anyway
Spring: who cares about the FA cup anyway

Rinse. Repeat.

Give this crop of players a proper attacking coach and we'll be trouncing teams like Derby. Disgrace that we are playing counter attacking football at home against a championship side.

Fellaini on to save the day. That's what were resorting to -- against a fecking club a league below us.

I don't want to see this shit at our club ever again.

Win lose or draw - Jose out!

By the way why would Woody spend big bucks on the likes of Perisic, Willian and the likes? signing older players should be to complete a side not to build one. What happens if they come in and don't pull up any trees? then we end up in a situation where we have immovable dead rubber. Sanchez is obviously a case in point but it's an understandable signing cause we got him virtually for nothing although we put paid to that by paying him well over the odds. However those two blokes aren't even that good.

Summer: You know I hope we get relegated so all the supporters with their "standards" can feck off.

We have become so bad to watch, it’s depressing. Being outplayed at OT by the likes of Wolves & Derby. fecking pathetic.

We were spoilt under Fergie, not just winning trophies but playing entertaining football. If we’re not winning trophies, the least I expect from United is to entertain the fans, play attacking football & score goals. Not sit back & hope to score. The tactics are awful.

The quicker Jose leaves, the better.

When will this hell end. I'm ageing in dog years following United in the last few years

More shots and possession for Derby it seems.

Tactical masterclass.

Okay I can now stop defending the manager. Its getting pathetic.

Just get out. A complete and utter fraud.

Van Gaal was crap and unsuited to the club, but he had an identifiable way of playing and was committed to getting the team playing it. Mourinho doesn't do anything. Aside from hopefully Dalot, he hasn't unearthed any talent. He's paid huge money for obvious players and he's built a squad full of gaping holes and deadwood. He's had 5 windows! He hasn't got the team playing in any kind of style. He doesn't even have a regular formation. It's been over two years!

I understand why you make that point but you are underestimating the idea that the managers could be the main issue, in their inability to create the required club culture and also identify players that could help them, at this point of their careers. It's important to remember that managers generally have an expiry date, someone like SAF was an exception, almost unique in that regard.

He's one of the very best managers the game has seen and his record speaks for itself. No other coach around has such an impressive haul of trophies. There is certainly no better option out there and that includes Zidane when talking about proven ability. I think we might just need to write-off this season and look forward to the next one. If given the necessary time and support things will certainly improve. I just hope he gets it.

Hopeless again today. No gameplan, no vision, not one player has a clue how to sustain the press otherwise than dribbling or pumping it forward, not one player knows what his role is and what should he be doing. Lingard is all over the place, Mata is strolling around, Herrera and Matic are misplacing passes, Jones and Bailly have no clue when to step forward or drop back and so on. We're fecking cursed.

The only difference between Moyes and Jose is that Jose has had 300m more to spend. I don't even see a slight difference in terms of how we play as of when Moyes was here. We look like utterly clueless clowns against pretty much any opposition side. No top club is ever going to want Mourinho after his fiasco here ends. How the feck can such an successful manager become so absolute shit?

Mate, just ...no.

He's gotta go. We're going backwards. The entire division bar cardiff are improving and we're still doing the same crap we were 5 years ago, with many of the same players.
Cant even blame the red card, derby were better than us when we had 11.
