I knew we were in for trouble this season with how Jose was talking & acting pre season. I’ve never seen such a negative pre season from any team ever. Literally sucked the excitement out of me before a single ball was kicked. Awful preparation in regards to targets and lined up so many excuses. Why sign A CM for 50m when he desperately wanted a CB? Why do journalists not ask questions like this to him instead of the same shit?

While I agree that the defence options for us are the worst aspect of the squad, I don’t understand why we still have the likes of Jones and Smalling around and playing regularly, when bought both Bailly and Lindelof.

I have no idea why Jose just didn’t do with some of these players, what Guardiola did immediately coming into City and just going “Right you’re not fitting into my plans because you’re not good enough. Get your agent to find you a new club, loan or transfer” and then proving everyone right later.

I remember Guardiola getting early criticism for dropping Hart and boy were the English media mad as hell about that and couldn’t wait to nitpick Bravo... but guess what, Hart is now an afterthought.

Pretty fecking weird that hes still here. Would have have survived this long at any other club? It will take a while to fix the mess he's created yet we allow him to keep dragging us deeper and deeper.

We've become an absolute joke to allow someone like this continuously fail and disrespect the club in the process. Get him out ffs.

I'm praying for a 6-0 battering from Liverpool so that the board have to sack him.

Call me a fake fan for wanting United to lose to the Scousers if you want, but in the long-term it'd be of tremendous benefit to the club if it means that Jose is out the door.

That wouldn't even get him sacked though. Imagine wishing for that result in any circumstances  especially in a season where they've got a very good chance of winning the league.

Maybe, but I think football is becoming disturbingly like how basketball is in America where superstar players can get their coaches fired if they don't like how they manage.

Remember when Moyes was afraid to take on players at the end of his tenure? I think it's important that he challenges Pogba and Martial... no matter how talented they are.

I don't think it's an ego thing... although the man clearly has a big one... I truly believe in this case... it's management principles that guide him to butt heads.

Unless you want Pogba running the team... you need to either get rid of him... or get a strong manager who can control him.

All I can say is if you install a yes man... a players manager that caters to the players... then he better produce.

LeBron James and Magic Johnson did this in basketball... but they actually won titles.

Also individuals are way more important in basketball, it's not even comparable to football. As Lebron's move this summer illustrates perfectly.

Can’t wait to see Jose cry his eyes out when he gets no signings in January.

I’d love to sign Koulibaly
I'm seriously worried that we might give him another £100m to spend in January.
if we sign Koulibaly I’d be happy. If he sells players I’ll go mental.

Take note of how he won't address the obvious and correct examples you pointed out. He either reply to you and shift goalposts or outright not respond to your examples.

Yup...he knows he is talking bullshit and won't ever reply.

I have stopped posting comments here bevabec some people are here to just support Jose whatever happens. But some post just irk you like anything.

After almost three years.

Club's structure is a mess but club structure is not responsible for the team failing to pass and move.

Wait this can't be serious?

Seriously after 3 years and 400m he is really going to say this? Surely he is essentially saying its completely his fault.

He is essentially complaining about the people above him.

I would guess he's referring to a house as the foundations of a team. Mourinho's foundations is defence first so spending money on defence making sure that's up to scratch.
For him to say it's not about spending, I don't think k he's talking about the team. Think he is saying Liverpool have a structure to help Klopp. Then signing players is to round that up.

Seems like he has openly distanced himself from his team now. Wonder if he has lost the dressing room after all, surely the players wouldn't stand for this and he wouldn't risk a mutiny if they were still largely on his side.

I'll happily slag off the people above Jose, they more than deserve it, the clubs a mess, but he makes it so hard for me to focus on anyone else when I just don't feel like he's making any effort to make us good, and he's a miserable twonk.

How people continue defend this clown is beyond me.

Wooosh... Right over yours and others heads. Unsurprisingly so in this circle jerk thread...

Modric started slow in Madrid, just as he did at Spurs. He spent one season with Mourinho and La Liga fans voted him a flop.

Salah and KDB are terrible examples. May as well call Guardiola out about Sancho while we are at it, or Foden when he inevitably leaves.

Hazard won POTY with Mourinho as manager... Hazard himself has spoken of how he failed in Mourinhos last season. Costa was booted out by the next manager...

How come they are wrong examples ? The guy I quoted said "if the players are mentally
strong then they can be successful with Jose , else they won't "

All the above examples are players who had fallen out with Jose. So are they mentally strong enough ? Will Modric had stated at Madrid if Jose was in charge for another season ? Would Hazard ? Jose had fallen out with majority of the Madrid squad ? Does that mean they all were mentally weak ?

And if you support Jose too that extreme, tell me this things.

1. Which player he managed to improve ?
2. What kind of tactics are we employing ? Is there any kind of improvement in any area of our playing style in the last 3 years ?
3. Other than Ibrahimovic, can any of signings can be considered as success ?
4. How come he failed to sign a RW even after 5 transfer windows ?

Matic, Pogba, Lukaku and Sanchez were all his signings and we paid big money for them. Now they are the worst performers in the team. How will you explain that ?

Note: I'm not a Jose hater or anything. The guy tried something but it's pretty clear that it's not working and time for him to move on. The squad is good enough to get into top 4 if coaches and managed properly.

Same as his last two jobs. Points fingers at the players, the Board, backroom staff, anyone, as long as it shows he’s not to blame. As transparent as it is bogus.

Don’t think he genuinely realises he’s actually the problem. That’s the problem with being in a power position for so long. He thinks every move he makes is the right one and it cannot ever be questioned. his way or the highway whether you’re driving off a cliff or not.

Pogba won’t be starting at the weekend so he is going to need someone else to blame if it goes wrong. Comments today are laying groundwork for complaining about those above him and blaming everything on them.

Can't agree with this. Jose may be a bit past it, but there's no denying he will go down as one of the greatest and most passionate managers in the game. You are talking as though he didn't win jack shit throughout his career.
Where did I talk about trophies? You can win and still be a miserable, toxic, unlikable person and Mourinho is all of this combined, he always embarrass people in this industry and the most unlikable person I've never seen in this game since the dawn of time.

So you don't want United to win CL because Mourinho is the coach.. Great what a brilliant fan....
If it means keeping Mourinho in charge, no thanks. I'm not even enjoying our wins actually and want us sometimes to lose game if it can accelerate his sacking process. If this make me a bad fan then be it; I watch football to be entertained and I can't enjoy my beloved club winning in this way. I'm a fan of football first before being a Manchester United fan, so the entertainment part is very important for me, reason why I was sad the day we appointed this miserable man.

What the feck does this even mean ? He is talking about this after 3 years ? He has his coaching staff around the players and was free to bring whoever he wants. Yet he complains about the coaching staff.

Ed has his own faults but teams performance is on you Jose. Our team is not the 6th best team in England .

So go and support Shitty then, since United means so little to you.

I really can not comprehend such a comment. United is in my blood, I am not interested in other teams playing nice football and doing well, they can feck off, and so can Jose.

. Mourinho's apologists are very strange people and funny; that's what happens when you're a fan of an individual/person instead of being a fan of an institution; that's how dictators are created, when people starts to worship idolize a person. Many people only started supporting Manchester United once Mourinho was appointed, those people are fans of him and will always find excuses.

How any journalist with a spine can sit and listen to that nonsense with a straight face is beyond me.

Some people like to say the players are getting away with murder - fecking nothing compared to this clown.

Oh dear. Best find another team, one that win's all the time.

Who are you to tell me what team I should support? I understand and respect your opinion thought. You should know and understand that not everyone is in this game for the same reasons as your's.

Blindly supporting a manager is not being a good supporter. 3 years in, hundreds of millions of pounds spent, no progress whatsoever, alienating players, picking fights, general toxic atmosphere, tumescent football, crap tactics, bizarre team selections, failed transfers, favouritism, endless excuses, constant moaning, endless negativity. I am so sick of it all.

He doesn't want to win. He wants to see the team playing decent football befitting a club of our stature. Very simple. The current management is not providing us with that therefore understandable if some of us want to lose games to ensure Mourinho is sacked for the good of the club . Sacrifice short term result for long term gain .

Never understood why so many supporters group Smalling and Jones together.

Smalling has been our best CB for a few years. That's why we have him around. Neither Bailly or Lindelof have been good enough to take his place.

Jones is an injury plagued shadow of a player.

Why Jones and Rojo are still around is a much better question. But of course Rojo is immune to criticism cos he's Argentinian and tough innit!
