I wouldn't go that far. But i am in Jose brigade so who am i to judge:)

Worse goal difference at this point of season in 40 years.
Worse point haul at this point of season in 28 years.

Most goals conceded in top 10,
Joint 3rd least goals scored in top 10.

Considering Mourinho had the longest of the 3 managers, has spent the most (Moyes spent 27mill at this point) and had the easiest start to the season of the top 6.
I'm completely and utterly baffled as to how this is better than any of those 3 seasons.

Literally the only positive, is Utd have been able to come back in games.

I just do not get this debate. For whomever is defending him go ahead and speculate you sign any and all reasonable targets this January... do you really think anything much will change? We have way more quality than mid table and yet here we are with -1 goal differential.

Cut the cord and lets plan for the future.

Changed my vote. Had it dow as giving him more time. He’s had that time now and it’s getting worse.

I couldn’t stand the football in fergies last few seasons.

I couldn’t stand moyes football.

I thought the football we played under lvg would be as bad as it could ever get.

Jose has proved me wrong. This is the worst season united have had in nearly 30 years. It makes my eyes bleed.

I just want to enjoy watching a couple of football matches involving us again.

I know Fergie wouldn't sell them a virus, but how good would it be if it did happen? We might even get away without paying the clown! The complete chaos that would ensue at Real would be hilarious to follow.

Those fans have definitely not been watching us:lol:

I've been convinced since the West Ham match that we have a manager that wants to be sacked, wants the pay off.

I've lost interest in the club right now. Actually that's not true. I'm posting here after all. It's the football I've lost interest in. I had tickets for yesterday's game. Decided to go to Twickenham instead. I won't attend another game now until there are changes. Its my own personal protest at what's happening.

It's a little bit heart breaking to watch us sleepwalk through this season. No top 4 this season. De Gea will leave. Pogba and Martial will likely follow. Why would they stay when there are countless better football teams that would love to have them.

We are a laughing stock. An afterthought. All the talk in the media about the title race and we do not even warrant a mention, and it's only November. Unacceptable on every level

There just us when we seen him sticking up the place at Chelsea. They probably believe the players are letting us down. Oh well please take him. I'd watch Madrid again just to watch him ruin them lol.

The sad truth is that the wave Ed and glazers have been riding is pretty much almost gone. The only reason we have continued to grow financially in the past 7-8 years is because of human sentiment.

It has reached the breaking point now. The average united supporter now truly doesn’t mind missing a game. No matter how bad things have been in the past 7 years, people still showed up, they still cared and hence money keeps flowing.

People actually do not care anymore. This is when business goes to shit. Ed will feel it soon and glazers will have pulled the plug just before that.

They probably think he is the best available manager, just as we did.

Then I hope Perez takes him. Though I have my doubts that he would be that stupid.

I just don't understand, how did JM trick Ed into giving him a new contract? that day was one of the saddest days in Manchester united history.

Long time listener, first time caller

I was desperate for Jose to be appointed but I was massively wrong and thinking back he was never right for us.

I’m not going to get into his style of football, his team selections etc.

His conduct has been a disgrace. His cupping of his ear in juventus was embarrassing and is one of many moments.

We have the best youth team in years and I worry that these players will not get a look in

He has had plenty of money and time to get it right and we are going backwards. No one is scared of us, I expect they actually look forward to going to old Trafford for the chance to get the winner at Man Utd

Why would anyone want to join us? None of Jose signings have worked

I would turn the target to the best young players in world football. I would openly express to the players that if you joining Manchester United you will get your opportunity. Join us and grow together. We need to follow Dortmund’s example but we would be able to keep the players.

Trust in our youth, they can be first team players they just need a chance. Our best years our squads were stuffed full of academy players. They are happy to be living the dream and add to the squad atmosphere

Jose is all wrong for us and has to go. In regards to who takes his place my first choice would be poch but if not available I would give it Butt until end of the season then chase Poch again.

Poch plays great football
And promotes youth. What more do we want?

Woooooooooo

Especially as he pulled the same stunt just before with Chelsea.

I believe it's because the board were being passive. He was doing okish and they didn't have the stomach for hiring another manager, so they gave him a bit of an extension. Also he was going on about PSG and they maybe didn't want him sidetracked and the season ruined. I dunno for sure, but it was a daft decision.

Well considering that Perez is one of Joses biggest admirers, I don't think it's that far fetched to believe that he would want him there.
But Perez is also a shrewd bussinessman and that means he isn't just going to ignore the position Jose is right now with us and gambles on him getting sacked by us before making the move for him...

But somehow I have this sinister feeling that they already have had contact with each other and agreed a way on how Jose could potentialy hasten his departure from here. That may involve questionable formations, badmouthing players and in the worst case scenario deliberately losing to our biggest rival in a shocking fashion(my premonition)...

Still I really hope he hasn't lost his hope on us and will try everything to ensure at least a respectable season even though he might be gone in the end.

Better to get ahead once on top. In his mind we overperformed insanely last season and there was only one way we were headed.

To be honest I've found much of what Mourinho does and says can be seen as attempts to get another big payday, I can't fathom his team selections, tactics and media briefings otherwise. It's like he's toeing the line between getting sacked quickly while not scaring off potential suitors like Real. The euphoria to watch Courtois and Mourinho clash at the Bernabeu when playing hoofball to Varane and Fellaini.

I believe this too. This is why he constantly pushes the narrative that our players are shit and he's not been backed by the board. If any idiot CEO or whomever falls for this again, then football people have got to be the most stupid people on the planet imo.

Man Utd has always been my team to root for in England for as long as I can remember. Watching Cole and Yorke as a kid is probably the first period I can thoroughly recall and I've followed everything up until recent events. So bear with me if you think I'm just another troll.

I've read these forums for years through the ups and downs (mostly downs lately) and what strikes me is the resemblance of 'coach out' posts. Moyes was not doing well, LvG rumours starting rolling and he would certainly bring back attractive football and trophies. LvG gets appointed, spends X million, does not deliver, Mourinho's name starts floating and of course, third time must be a charm yes? Fast forward a few transfer windows and another X million and what do you know? Must also be the wrong man for the job and it's Jose's time to go. Pochettino's name being chanted left and right, surely he will sort things out once he comes yes?

Nothing will be solved by appointing another coach who did perfectly fine on his last job.

Slowly accepting that he is done at the highest level. He makes every team look like Madrid/Barca against us and wants us to play with the underdog mentality every fecking time. What's the point of showing every team so much respect?

He should go for his own good.

I just realized, motivator managers like Mourinho are old hat. It’s all about attacking tactics nowadays. The players are spoilt, so you simply have to get them doing progressive attacking drills cos it’s the only way to get good stuff out of them.
I’m on the gin lads.

We have to get pochettino. Sorry for going on about him all the time but what he has done at Spurs is mental.
And you could be confident he’d play our promising young lads like pereira, Greenwood, Gomes, Chong etc.

Him and a director of football could save us from years of shite.

Good point, and you are right they are a number of Mourinho fanboys who hide and only come out after an expected win.

We need to name and shame them!

Don't really pay enough attention to do that haha.

But yea it just comes with the territory of posting ones opinion on a site. If we win and then us lot come on and talk about how Jose should still be fired we will be shit on for being negative after a win. The same is true if we lose and they come out and talk about how great he is while we are sitting 7th on -1 goal difference. Hardly going to go down well now is it

Just looking at player contracts in the past few years, it's not exactly hard to dupe Ed "watch this space" Woodward into giving you new shiny contracts.

Didnt watch the full game live. Saw a few mins of the 2nd half and couldn't watch it.

Terrible performance and its fully on Mourinho.

I agree. Since Ronaldo’s last season actually, when we were fierce good defensively at least. The odd patch here or there but that’s it.
Yep I agree with this. We weren't fun to watch in Fergie's last years, but there were some short periods that were fun. However, we competed for the biggest titles and it was Fergie. So couldn't complain all too much.

Yes, completely agree. I honestly do not understand (would be interesting to see the business analysis) on why Glazers and Ed do not understand. Winning goes hand in hand with commercial success (particularly at the level of growth which they want to sustain). I can understand the view that being in the top 4 (and not going for anything more than that) will allow this, but still, surely they must understand that apathy is growing amongst the fan base, because the people who grew up with the latest phase of success under SAF are growing old. New younger fan base will not support us, not with this BS served up week in and out.

He slates the players who are the club's future - Martial, Pogba, Pereira etc and loves the worst ones - Lukaku, Matic, Young. He literally turns a blind eye towards talent. Valuing professionalism, hard work, courage is one thing, but ignoring talent outright is what he is doing.

If you are literally shite at football with zero talent but are hardworking professional who would give his all for the team, you can expect yourselves to be playing in a Mourinho team.

So people here who want him gone, do you want him gone right now, do you want an interim until the summer or a new manager who will be given time to get it right?

Get him out ffs. I was quite optimistic when we signed him but he's so bitter and negative now and seems to hate everyone. Doesn't want young players or players who try to entertain, wants automatons. He's finished here for me.

The season can still be salvaged if he goes now.
