Don’t give up, apathy from fans will only prolong his tenure.
Stopped watching the game with 20 minutes to go. It was depressing. I don't even know how to express my feelings .
I'm not sad, I'm not angry, I'm just there.
I can't see it changing until he goes.

What is Jose's payout if we sack him?

Just feels like every week we keep him, we are saving a pittance in terms of what the club can really achieve.

Sacking him will cost us 20 m plus, not sacking him will cost us 50 m plus and a season in Europa league, may be even this season who knows.

And we still know what Ed will choose.

I think i hate him but I'm not sure.
He is killing my spirit.
You are not alone mate, he just makes me want to pull my hair from my head.
And the constant reminder of his achievements speaks of how far he has fallen.

Think the poll should be closed. If you don't want him out by now, you will never change your opinion.

Yeah I really wonder why that's happening.

Congrats to him.

He’s number 1 now.

I don't think we can avoid a season in Europa League now no matter what we do. The season is a write-off. Woodward should have moved to sack Mourinho in the summer, around about the same time he decided not to buy the players we needed.

Not specifically, but it is his job to share his opinion on football-related matters.

The would-be sacking of a football manager is commonly discussed by the rest of the punditry world. No idea why Neville thinks himself above such a discussion.

No but that is something he has chosen to do and as long as he is consistant about it - I don't see a problem.

We might end up 2nd in the Group simply because Valencia appears to be even weaker than we are.

This season, I agree, we've got a reasonable chance of finishing 2nd in this CL group. The net result of tonight's games is actually an improvement on where I thought we'd be (I assumed Valencia wiould gain 6 points relative to us in game weeks 3 and 4).

I believe the post I replied to was referring to next season, though.

Was mad at our lack of transfers this summer but right now I perfectly understand Ed and hope no one gives him a penny anymore. Imagine having Willian, Maguire and Perisic coming here all for more than 60m each and doing a Matic here

Was that for his three titles at Inter? Jesus! the guy is a moron.

Have you noticed how he doesn't engage or take digs at Pep anymore? I guess he also realizes that he is done but is milking us for all he can.

it was for the treble at Inter ie Juve's holy grail. They never won the treble although they came close in numerous occasions. That's how Inter fans taunt them

Woodward deserves a lot of credit for refusing to give him anymore players.

Anyone who still wants him in, ask yourself who is enjoying his reign more - us or Liverpool fans?

From what was reported it was for the treble he won at Inter. If we’re losing to Everton this weekend I imagine he’ll do it because he beat them 3-0 sometime in the past or something

Allegri,Pep,Conte,Sarri, not anyone of those or any other manager in world football could elevate this current crop of totally overrated players,De Gea aside this lot are completely bang average, thats the reality, bigger picture is we are a mess from the top down and those particular chickens are now coming home to roost but hey, at least the app and the brand is doing well....

Well, from that perspective there's no guarantee that a caretaker will deliver CL with 7 points already away from 5th and thus we would pay Mourinho 20m payoff plus losing the 50m and Europe League.

Actually won't surprise me if Ed is thinking that way.

I think he should go as it's not working anymore. Good results look like more of false downs than being based on good planning, but finanicials shouldn't be the way of thinking about it.

Fully agree, Jose assembled such an average bunch during his years with us it’s incredible, complete incompetence on his behalf, he needs to go. Totally past it.

And another one @montpelier

This is what I have been saying. Woodward should get stick for mistakes like going from a manager who plays football like LVG to a manager playing football like Jose- However him not going after players like Willian and the injury prone alderweireld when watching Matic & Sanchez struggle is good work. Same goes for the likes of Perisic and Mcguire.

Any other manager would have permanently replaced Valencia & Young by now too.

@fellaini's barber

Whilst Woodward might have shot us in the foot by not backing the mananger- the manager is more worried about trying to create a team with tactics he has used in the past rather than building tactics to the bunch of players he has with the intention of improving the squad as a whole.

I genuinely can't believe people think this. I just don't see it. We don't have bad players. Why do our players perform better for their national teams? Why where they all better before Mourinho?

I cant stand Jose & didn't want him from the start. Saying that - we do need better players. I'd say that because I look at chelsea's squad, Spurs squad, City's squad & Liverpools attack & can think about players I'd rather have at United; nearly all over the squad.

However that's not the problem specifically - the problem is that Jose in three years has not got us working in a system. If we did that then we could target players more specifically to our team & that is not happening.
The wrong players are idolised by Jose - players like Matic, sanchez before being dropped, Lukaku etc and would have only continued if he had gone for players like perisic, willian etc.

A team needs to be built around Rashford, Martial, Pogba, De gea whilst having good roles for technical players like mata and others as back up.

A manager who idolised technicality coming in after LVG would have built a strong team right now whilst we have just 2 different plans trying to blend in to one.

Jose can not hide anymore. He may have won the domestic Title in every job position previously but Man United will be the first where he fails spectacularly. The Chelsea meltdown was the warning sign where he eventually got sacked in December 2015 after taking Chelsea into the bottom half of the table. Everton and Bournemouth are much more difficult games than West Ham, Brighton or Newcastle.

I expect no more than 1 or 2 points plus a big loss to Juventus away so probably by November 1st he will finally sacked. His record this season will probably be Played 16 W5 D5 L6 GS 23 GC 29 and maybe the disconnect that so many of us currently feel will temporarily fade away and we can get behind a new regime and Manager once more.

The real problem of course is that the Glaziers will still be here bleading the club, Ed Woodward will still be talking about our commercial success and 'How United can only do things other clubs dream about!' but most importantly Phil Jones, Mateo Darmian, Antonio Valencia, Linderloft, Lukaku and so many more of our average squad will be trying to impress a new Manager and continue to steal a living from this great Club.

When was the last time someone made a new point in this thread?

I completely understand people wanting Jose to go, but these conversations seem a bit repetitive.

Release your frustrations in other ways :D

2 years without developement/improvement in our players abilities/performance, while many players in the other teams have improved.

Klopp, Pep or even Sarri and we would be a complete different team. Neither of the managers you mentioned makes their teams play like Sheffield Wednesday unlike the dosser Mourinho. You are telling me Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Spurs are full of world class players? Get a grip ffs, yes there are certain areas in which we desperately need to improve but at the end of the day it's clear as daylight to see the team is not managed well. Also none of the managers you mentioned would have taken hideous decisions like signing belgian Emile Heskey for 75m or the zombie Matic for 40m, or spending 50m on Fred to make him a bench warmer. Mourinho should have been sacked after the Brighton game. Mourinho, Woodward and the Glazers can all piss off as far as I am concerned, bunch of repulsive dossers.

Mourinho must have lost more games in the last 4 seasons than the previous 12 years or whatever it is of his career combined

He lifted that Premier League trophy in 2015 and since then he's been mostly shite. Been quite the fall from grace. He's clearly past his best, he doesn't have it in him to win the big trophies anymore. You can put up with shit football if you're winning and we aren't so whats the point.

Get rid.

ah yes, that might kind of explain how his attitude is how it is.

1 - it's like a great player starting to lose where he won easily earlier in his career (like a tennis player say)

2 - he can't work with the inferior quality because it cheeses him off that he hasn't got the best materials, like some aging footy players get when they aren't doing it either but at least they once could, they'd say

I would be careful about it, people have a generally positive attitude at the stadium. It's a lot more interesting to discuss with match going fans between games.
True. There was no shortage of discussion on the platform waiting for the tram home. General consensus was:
  1. the majority of the team put in a good effort
  2. neither players nor manager are good enough
  3. change needs to start with the manager

Anyone who still wants him here needs their heads checked. 3rd season and it's worse than ever

After tonight I’m firmly in the camp that are coaches aren’t coaching these players correctly. Rashford used to be good at his running off the ball but that seems to have been coached out of him

Watching United these days is like being forced to watch someone else feck your wife and there's nothing you can do about it.
