Praising Juve's defenders was another dig at Woodward. Getting tiresome.

Lets be honest, 95% of football managers wouldn't have our team tonight playing that Juventus team and only losing 1-0. The result actually reflects quite well because our players are fecking awful.
95% of managers would have had a better team on the pitch for 500 million

He is admitting that without Fellaini being there he could not make any changes. He has just said that in his press conference. God help us.
Whattt?

Tells you all you need to know about his so called tactics. Get him out immediately. We need some good coaching!

Nah, carry on, keep "" around at other posters, dont waste time while he is still at helm.

I have no issue with you - despite you being difficult earlier. You clearly do though.

I’m just saying that throwing around expressions like «embarrassment» is, well, embarrassing to continue a Caf meme.

We are terribly coached. There are teams with lesser players who look more co-ordinated than we do. How do you explain that? For all the money Jose's being paid, it's disgraceful how under-coached our players look.

It's got nothing to do with coaching. Jose has historically created a ruthless streak in his sides with Chelsea, Inter and Real. These players just can't do that.

Can't keep protecting them by saying "they aren't coached properly", unless you actually watch what they do in training. Which you don't.

No. Jose is done. He did all those things in the past. The game has changed but he's stood still.

Doesn't make any sense given that our centre backs Smalling and Lindelof weren't that bad. And bonucci has been a weak link in the Juve defence this season. We hardly tested them.

By Mourinho's logic: if only he had two experienced centre backs this summer the rest of the team wouldn't be playing like shit.

I'm bored of hearing his praising of the opposition in the hope of detracting from how poorly he manages his own players. He should be done.

Jose is finished the guy is washed - the sooner the board realise this the better

The game has passed him by and he has no answer to it.

Because Jose had a massive hand in making us who’re right now, clueless cnut he is.

Dear God, he said this? What a way to shit on the lads sat on that bench tonight.

Just like the Scott Mctominay at CB nonsense, the lack of subs just seems like another political move from him. Just no other explanation for it, really. Losing at home in the Champions League in a game that you really can’t afford to be losing in, and then add in the fact that we wasn’t exactly knocking on the door for and equaliser, i just don’t see any other reason for it.

When we did the comeback against Newcastle, I said to myself, this will kill us, it gave Jose the kiss of life and it prolonged his stay at the club. I wish we never did the comeback.

We are slowly turning into Arsenal/Liverpool of yesteryears (if we haven't already). I was celebrating an intent of aggression and a decent tackle in the middle of the park and that became the pinnacle of the entertainment value on show today.

The only match we have won in the last 7 was against Newcastle from which we had to come from 2-0 down. We start every match exactly the same way and this is purely down to Mourinho - we wait until something goes wrong before we start playing and the team can play when they're freed from being cowards.

I’m sick of his excuses and political ways. OTT praise of the Juve CB’s to make a petty point, digs at the scouts, the board or the players. It’s fecking draining.

Ed won’t do anything either so this season is a waste of time.

I've long backed Jose and always want him to come good, but tonight the time lacked the fire and he didn't really set up and motivated the team like his job was on the line.

At this point he's underachieving massively and should be assessed game by game. If he's not doing the job well (was a good comeback against Chelsea, but we're really in a bad shape and form) he should part ways for the benefit of both sides.

Time up our players don't know what to do when they are pressed and don't know if they should stay back or press. No respect when Lukaku and Matic are untouchable and garbage.

Exactly, I would have taken a loss in a heartbeat back then because I knew Woodward won’t have a spine to sack him after a win.

Genoa manager Ivan Juric is part of the 5% or their players are simply better.

The Fellaini quote?

He’s just admitting the only way he can change the games is by going route 1. That’s shocking.

It feels like this club is on life support. We'll get a decent result now and then and it'll prolong the inevitable. What a sad state of affairs.

Delusions of grandeur aside, United got a better result vs Juve at home than Valencia did and also saw the Spaniards drop points on the evening. A very good day, I would say.

I’m not so sure. Mourinho could very well be gone «soon», but is it going to get better after that? People said the same thing after Moyes and the same thing after LvG aaand..

And each time it has been incrementally better so what's your point?

Lvg did better than moyes and mourinho did better than lvg

I'm struggling to recall more than a couple of times since Mourinho has come where the team has looked greater than the sum of the individual players so to speak. It always seems that whatever we achieve, we do so by the minimum standard and by relying on individual brilliance. This is never sustainable unless you have a multitude of world class players.

The most worrying thing is that we don't seem to be in a better place now than we were in 2016. If the league is anything to go by, then we are actually going backwards.
