He’s done. He can’t get us any further.

If we win against Everton we’ll get yet another ‘turning point’ thread though.

And each time it has been incrementally better so what's your point?

Lvg did better than moyes and mourinho did better than lvg

Not sure about that. LVG left the team in the same place as Moyes did and Mourinho looks like he's on his way to do the same.

Really can't be arsed with it anymore. He's here for this year and next. The club will be in a real sorry state when he goes. I think the fans are just sick of being shite now and are at the pure depression stage rather than rage stage.

Seriously he's here until the end of the season.

It feels like this club is on life support. We'll get a decent result now and then and it'll prolong the inevitable. What a sad state of affairs.

And the board are doing nothing about it - the banners need to come out for anything to happen

No. Jose is done. He did all those things in the past. The game has changed but he's stood still.

The game has changed since 2015? Look, I’m not opposed to Mourinho not being «the man», but there is so much hyperbole flying around.

Some of our fans are as bad as the board. They are more interested in looking like superior fans than doing what's in the best interests of the club.

United have had 3 different managers under 3 different style of play, reason why the club and players are all over the place. City and Liverpool have had 2 consecutive attack minded managers, reason why they are where they are. Ed Woodward practically does not know what this club is about and what football the fans want, if he did, he would not have gone for LVG and Jose. Absolutely joke of a football club now.

Let’s just look away from what we see on the pitch:

10th in the League
Out of the title race and 7pts off top 4
Out of the League cup
Need to beat Valencia to have a good chance of staying in the Champions League

We all screamed for Van Gaal and Moyes to be sacked for less, why is Mourinho any different?

He isn't, you are in thread wondering if he should go.

There are two embarrassing things about this.
1) That we can only rely on Fellaini to save us.
2) Maybe if we didn't play like cowards and actually attacked and pressed the opposition to start with we wouldn't need Fellaini to bail us out "so many times"

Mourinho is a washed-up coward.

They all play/ed the same negative dross. The only different style of play the vast majority want is the attacking kind.

No he didn't we were 7th when moyes was sacked. Lvg got 4th and 5th and a fa cup. Mourinho has 2 cups a final and a 2nd place finish. We also have better squad than we did. Incremental improvements.

I think he is now just trying to protect his own reputation rather than play a winning side.

Why bother keeping Chong on the bench?

My theory is he was put there in case Juventus humiliated us. If it was 4 or 5 nil he would put on Chong so he could say he gave him his start when the club responded to the humiliation by sacking Jose.

His paranoia and grandstanding have got out of control. His not using a sub is saying that he has not got the players.

Reality is however he has run out of ideas.

Moyes left us out of CL, with shite squad and need of rebuild.

LVG left us out of CL with shite squad and need of rebuild.

Mourinho is on his way to leave us out of CL and with a squad that has only Pogba, Martial and De Gea as standout players, and will also needs a rebuild.

But as I said all incrementally better than the other. So we are better than we were under moyes and lvg as results suggest. But incrementally better rather than leaps and bounds.

They left us at exactly the same position.

Guys, we have to wait to be automatically out of the top 4 for him to be sacked. Just switch off the TV and come back in february!!

Neville doesn't believe in sacking football managers. It's unethical, apparently.

Which is probably why he was so angry when Valencia sacked him for gross incompetence.

That is not what he has said - he said he doesn't think it's his job to talk about managers being sacked. There is a difference

I’d say the OT crowd seem to be behind him still.

I would be careful about it, people have a generally positive attitude at the stadium. It's a lot more interesting to discuss with match going fans between games.

The 'give managers time' mantra is starting to feel like a burden. Every failed manager gets 6 months longer than they deserve. Or maybe our board don't really know how to assess football and take 6 more months to realise the obvious

Not specifically, but it is his job to share his opinion on football-related matters.

The would-be sacking of a football manager is commonly discussed by the rest of the punditry world. No idea why Neville thinks himself above such a discussion.

Compare to Real Madrid who are about to sack an under-performing manager after less than three months.

Struggling to see us putting a consistent run that will make us finish in top 4 so the question will be if he'll complete the season or will be gone before it.

What is Jose's payout if we sack him?

Just feels like every week we keep him, we are saving a pittance in terms of what the club can really achieve.

Bingo
With a bit of luck they take mourinho back.
As a club we are spineless at the top when it comes to sacking managers. Granted we didn’t have any practice for 26 years but you’d have thought we’d have learned by now.
Mourinho will NOT turn this around Woodward you cnut.
Pull your fecking finger out and put us all out of our misery.
