We were 2-0 down due to Jose & his use of certain players & tactics.

We were 3-0 due to the players playing purely at free will with players that are less appreciated by Jose.

I was too busy stressing out but I also thought that in the second half there was no particularly set up, the players played like kids do. Now I give Mourinho credit for mobilizing the players at half time, you can't say that the manager is responsible for the moral of the team and not give him credit when the moral is improved.
I agree with your first point too.

Good to see they haven't given up on him and he made all the right calls after the whistle went but we are still long way off becoming a top side.

Having said that if you think press have been anything but objective about him you are having a laugh, manhunt is as usual for Mourinho a stronger word but he absolutely has been ripped in the press during his tenure here.

Should just tell him to stay in London while he's there

Did players just saved Mourinho's arse ? Amazing how things rollercoasting from day to day but we could really use some stabilization for the future.

Newcastle wasn't really that strong of a team.......

Mourinho should stay. But Ed, Jose and Players must sit down and say about problems. Some players should be put on transfer list, some must say do they want to be here or not and Jose must improve attacking play. And Ed must buy 2 players in winter transfer window.

There are a lot of heartbroken people on here today. The club briefed the press with a tester yesterday, saying he'd be sacked. We start the game shellshocked and then go on to pull out that 2nd half performance. Woodward looking on with a sour face.

I wish I hadn't come on here, no matter how dire things are you never hope your team loses. I know we are a long way off where we want to be but for once just enjoy the game you just watched.

Lots and lots of miserable bastards on this place.

This some post-match interview from Jose Mourinho

“It wasn’t the substitutions that won the game – it was the desire, mentality and commitment. This is not about me, this is not about the players, this is about the club, and in the second half the players gave absolutely everytthing. Nothing more to give.

“I am 55 years old, I am mature, I can cope with it and live with being hunted. I think some of the boys are not coping well with it. The way they started the game was panicking (sic). I thought at some moments we could score in our own-goal. It’s not easy for them.

“For me it’s not easy too but I think life is made of experiences and some are new and some are déjà vu. This is new but I think it makes me a better manager and a better person because I understand things in human nature… the industry I work in is different, a lot of wickedness, too much wickedness in something that should be beautiful. I cope with it, with some sadness, but I’m a big boy. Clearly some of the boys – Marcus Rashford was sad on the pitch, Scott McTominay was scared on the pitch. All the players, they commit mistakes that are not normal. I think at half-time we had a good conversation. We didn’t promise to each other that we were going to win the match, but we promised we were going to give absolutely anything – without any fear, without any pressure. Just give everything, and they did. I don’t want to say we were lucky because we fought so much for that. Even if we don’t score the last goal, the feeling would be positive. Nobody can promise to win matches but a professional should promise to give everything.

“It’s ridiculous talk [that the players aren’t playing for him] – they don’t play for the manager, they play for the club. It’s not about that. What I asked the players is to give absolutely everything. We had little tactical touches of course, we risked a lot, we were trying to find the best way to play. In the end we won the match and I think we deserved to win. I think the fans deserved to win. At 2-0 at half-time, with all the dynamic of the man-hunting, I think they behaved amazingly well for the team. This is what a football club is.

“As a friend of mine was saying to me this morning, If it rains in London tomorrow, it’s my fault. Brexit, it’s my fault, and I have to be ready for this. There is a lot of wickedness and a clear man-hunting. It’s my life, it’s the life I love, it’s the life I worked with since I was a kid, and I will love it until my last day.”

All about the players in that second half. Tactics were shite.

It is simple, I want him to stay except if the dressing room has given up on him. I thought they have but based on today, I am not sure that that is the case.

Seconded. I'm fine to see him go if he's lost the dressing room but I don't think it's a foregone conclusion.

Your so right Jose. If only you had your way and Martial was at Spurs and Pogba was training with the under-18s. Then today would have ended way better wouldn't it?

All is forgiven, you just about managed to beat Newcastle at home after going 2 nil down after 11 mins - 5 MORE YEARS

Anti Jose posters are hurting
Hell no! Look at my posts from the matchday thread - I'm as happy as can be and was willing the team on!

I still don't want José here, though, and, regardless of that, will still root for United in every game.

Jesus Christ this is exactly what I mean. They turned it around, they won the game. Don’t belittle it. Feck right off.

Always amazes me how fickle minded people are. Now they want Jose to stay, based off a last ditch second half comeback against one of worst teams in the league, playing at home

He's definitely challenging to the board to sack him with his comments but his contract running till 2020.
