The similarity between Jose's third season with Chelsea and his current season with United is glaringly obvious, so much so that I'm shocked you do not see it.

I laughed at people when they suggested the same thing would happen with United, I couldn't for the life of me imagine us suffering the same fate, but it has happened. They were right. People need to be honest and admit it.
I accept your apology.

Do you not think Guardiola, or Klopp say harsh words to their players...?

How about Zidane? Remember his falling out with Bale?

How about Simeone? Or Conté?

Mourinho is a very divisive figure, and his time at United has brought 2 decent trophies, but now is time for the club to move on.
Klopp, Pep and Simeone are friendly towards their players. Conte got sack because he was too harsh.
Ffs, when coach today make a sub, that player starts crying in media and all family and agents come in public to defend player.

In ideal world he would be in and players out. Players today are in charge in big clubs. Reign of coaches who are the boss like Jose, Fergie or Wenger is over. Now it is friendly "lets be friends" managers era.
Today manager can't say bad word to player. Pathetic times

It's the very public nature of the pissing matches too that is a big problem. It's all too easy for a player, or a manager, to throw out an off-the-cuff remark in the knowledge that the press will seize onto it and turn it into a major story. It's too easy for a player to post on social media remarks that are detrimental to the club. You can't un-ring that bell and no amount of backtracking or saying it was taken out of context can repair the damage.

Look, I have no doubt that something is rotten at United but all this airing of the club's dirty linen in the press has caused a schism. Keep it in-house FFS.

Any other big club would've sacked him already. They wouldn't have accepted this level of incompetence.

Im trying to think of the last time a big club in England sacked their manager in sep.a few weeks after the transfer window shut.

Will Woodward pull the trigger and sack mourinho? Sadly I still don’t think he will. Our problems are not just on the pitch but at board level. We are run by people who are mainly interested in united the brand and not MUFootballClub. Sacking mourinho would not instantly change a lot but it would be the start. I think it would lift the huge cloud of negativity that hovers above old Trafford. We need a double recruitment of a DOF and manager who could work side by side to deliver the fans a football identity that we could be proud of. My choice of manager would be zidane and I wouldn’t put any expectations on him this season apart from figure out who doesn’t fit our football identity and have them shifted out of the club by June. Hiring him now would also support him in identifying who he want to bring in. I know he doesn’t speak English but again if there is little pressure on him this season then he can pick up the language without the pressure that would normally surround the job. My choice to support him would be Roy Keane. He is someone who knows what it means to be a united player and would quickly stamp out any player who dares to bring this great club down. The players need this rocket up their arse as they are as much to blame for this as mourinho, the difference is you can’t sack all the players and they are nowhere near as bad as they are playing. Zidane 1st job would be simple. Grab Pogba and ask him does he want to play for United. If the answer is no then stick him in the reserves and flog him in January. If the answer is yeas then tell him to stop his tweeting etc and concentrate on his god given talent for playing football.

Right now other teams and fans are laughing at our clubs incompetent performances, our childish differences behind the scenes and at the same time Liverpool, Chelsea, city, spurs and even arsenal are moving away from us.

Come on Woodward, just pull the trigger and we can start to rebuild this great club and put it back on top.

Can't even say he's lost the dressing room. Today's lineup was predominantly Jose's lieutenants, Fellaini, Matic, Young, Lukaku, Mctominay and they were all among the worst performers. Imagine that

Sacking seems inevitable at this point. Give it to Carrick till the end of the season. Really hope we don't go for Zidane though, reckon Woody should sign up someone like Jardim

You're trying to be reasonable with that "dude"? As he would put it. Good luck with that. :)

You couldnt wait to jump in out of nowhere with a sneak dig, your obsession is creepy as hell, oh well, you forced my hand.

It's better than they are showing under Jose. A great deal better.

They need the chance to prove that before it is too late.

Yeah maybe but this squad is by far behind Liverpool, City, Chelsea, Spurs and even Arsenal.

Rodgers was sacked by Liverpool on October 4th which is pretty close, Di Matteo was sacked by Chelsea in November which is probably the next closest.

Yeah maybe but this squad is by far behind Liverpool, City, Chelsea, Spurs and even Arsenal.

I actually joked about people starting to say that last week.

Give it another couple of weeks maybe we can start with the Watford/Everton have better squads than Utd section of the continued insanity.

Yeah maybe but this squad is by far behind Liverpool, City, Chelsea, Spurs and even Arsenal.

If you were to offer a fair assessment of the squad's capability, man for man compared to those you mentioned, I don't think we would be far off if at all.

It's difficult to make that assessment given the way we are playing, but under a new manager with an entirely different tactical approach, I honestly believe this team isn't far from a title challenge. A few adjustments here and there and a few quality additions just might see it happen.

Imagine believing this diarrhoea.

Tell me what is so good with this squad? Still so much deadwood, players who are talented for many years and no progress. Players who were good are past it. Only one WC player in the squad!

We were in a similar situation and I wanted Mourinho gone in October in his last season for us. But your situation is different a little bit.

Hazard is similar to Pogba in terms of work rate, but the difference is he did not have Pogba's ego and the position he plays can be freed so he can be at his best. In my opinion for the best outcome for United both Mourinho and Pogba need to go. If Pogba remains your problems will not go away. He is a midfielder and he needs to run in this modern game. It's one thing to do it in a World Cup for 2 weeks and another thing to do it day in day out the whole season for the badge.

And it's always bad when players who are in conflict with the manager stay at the club from one season to the other one. Martial should have been sold this summer, but instead he is part of your divided dressing room.

Your board failed you big time this summer. They basically let the things get out of control.

Imagine believing this diarrhoea.

It's a strange attitude. United have the world's best goalkeeper - arguably the strongest midfield in the league and one of the best strikers (who bizzarely, is treated like Heskey by some circles at the 'Caf despite scoring 27 goals in his first season)

You need the defence sorting out is all; and maybe, y'know, a new manager.

Is there any point in sticking with Jose? Even his most ardent defenders accept that the greatest appeal of having him at the healm is his ability to win.

He’s not doing this, and doesn’t look like changing it around any time soon. Players are not buying into his methodology and the football is a disgrace for a club of our stature.
