The only choice is Carrick with McKenna as his assistant - unless you can convince Zidane to come in now, which I honestly think would be a bad idea for both parties.

So give two guys that have zero experience at the top level a run out?

No thank you.

I admit Mourinho got it wrong with Lindelöf but Bailly would make a huge step up if he had a world class defender partnering him. I like Smalling but he is not world class like Alderweirld who definitely wouldn't be making rookie mistakes we made so far this season

That bit about wanting more? Let me remind you that Klopp began to realise he need to tighten his defence and bought Van Djik which is why Liverpool are top of the league. Attack win games, defence win titles
Liverpool hasn't won anything so we'll see. The real question is that if we were so good last season defensively, what is the reason behind our current struggles since we have the same players/manager. We should be very close no ? Why isn't it working ?

I think José might be mentally ill. Not even kidding.
Looks like he has narcissistic personality disorder from what I've seen of those symptoms. He has nearly all of them! However, I am hoping his family get him some help. He desperately needs it.

To be fair, what's wrong with Conte? He's a very good manager and he had Chelsea playing very well.

He was equally toxic when the summer window didn't go his way, and Chelsea fans weren't exactly thrilled with his football style in his 2nd season. The football in his 1st season wasn't that great either imo but he steamrolled everyone in front of him so it was all fine.

Again with the hyperbole. Look, I'm onboard with the idea that Mourinho is not the right man for the job anymore, but assessing his "mental health" is just pathetic.

He's definitely not my first choice but I'd take anyone right now over Jose. My first would be Zidane and the Poch and then Max Allegri and then Conte. I'd fecking take Wenger now so there's that.

Like I said, the players stopped playing for him. This would not happen if the players still believe in him. We literally becoming Chelsea.

Wenger's beautiful pretty pretty football.

Man, are we in some plight to actually think Wenger would improve us.

Yeah one he did. year two he starred moaning about spending, busting up with players and he lost the locker room.could see a similar situation to Mourinho.

I like Wenger tbf :p

It's an observation, what is the problem?

Yeah I'd take Conte as caretaker. Doubt he'd manage to fall out with the players immediately after coming in. He would be much less of a risk than giving the reins to McKenna or Carrick at this point.

From 81% for to 62% against in space of what, 2 years and something, expected shift to come way later dunno why. Sacking JM is pointless anyway, maybe we should just let it burn to the ground instead of putting fire down.

No shouts for McBrendan? Oh well.

Haha yeah it would be nice to see us play beautiful football for sure. We would get fecked defensively though. If Jose can't get the defence going then Wenger is going to concede about 5 a game.

Yeah I agree on that but I think it was down to Costa and Emenalo as well. They had no reason not to back him so it could have been avoided. Anyway, it's a moot point as I'm pretty sure it won't be Conte anyway.

I like Wenger tbf :p

So do I. Man knows how to make a team play.

Why is Zidane going to Juve? Where did you hear that from?

Ok Allegri then.

Get your head out of Mourinhos arse.

Zidane is not going to juve? Are you sure about that?

Allegri is going to leave juve? Zidane is going to be director of Juve.

I have been patient with Jose for so long but there are just too many problems everywhere you look now. Top 4 is very very difficult and even if we did make it, is hardly the standard we set ourselves when he hired Jose. I don’t think for a second we have a hope in the Champions League. That leaves the FA Cup and 4th spot as the best we can hope for this year. So I think Jose goes based on the expectation he set us and based on the fact that the majority of players that aren’t performing are the ones he chose to buy or keep in the 2+ years he’s been with us. Sorry Jose, I believed in you but you’ve lost your spark and maybe it was Rui Faria who was keeping this whole thing going for you.

What about a new poll on Jose? Think his most ardent supporters are on the verge now.

Rapidly approaching the “Out” side. Part of me has been “Out” since Sevilla however I’ve still got behind him this season and wanted him to turn it around however this was the “winnable” set of games to turn it around and we haven’t. it’s not even the end of September and we’re bang out of the title race. By tonight, we will be 5 points behind 4th too and all those clubs seem likely to kick on while we regress.

Chelsea and City (A) in the next 5 games and that will be that.

Problem is, I don't think Conte would be interested in the interim basis.

That's some passive-aggressiveness!

It's just daft to accuse a football manager you don't know of being a narcissist/calling him mentally ill.
I'm not the only one who's called him a narcissist. Plenty of articles written about it, plenty of people inside and outside of football have said the same things.

It took SAF 6 years to win the title. If the internet had been around back then, he probably would have been out after 3.
6 years huh? Maybe we missed a trick with Moyes or even LVG.
