The Modern / Current Players Draft

Toying with a couple of plans, how do people feel about De Rossi and Rakitic being the deep lying players in a 4-2-3-1? I think it's a good balance, Rakitic is a fairly complete midfielder anyway and could definitely handle the defensive side with De Rossi to help him.

Holding the world's biggest trophy...and reuniting these fellas.

Skizzo cheating as usual. Very well done there.

I know right. First sneaking Godin and then getting David feckin Silva as the 4th pick and now this  CB duo. Where is DRAFTA anti-corruption head anto when you need him? Skizzo is up to something fishy here.

M here. In meetings. Crappy don't go to sleep

Man, I do regret not getting involved in this draft, in the end. I had a really interesting team that I wanted to play just for the kicks, but it's still fun to see the teams these managers are setting up.

I'm loving it so far, all teams are pretty even so everything can happen. I kind of want no reinforcements or like 1 each round but I guess it's too late to change it

Did you notice there's a change from usual reinforcements? The team limit is fixed to 12, so you need to drop a player if you need to pick a reinforcement.
It doesn't really matter. The nationality rule is a bitch though (and I mean it in a good way), with it and considerably weak pool no one would be able to make an uber team in the latter stages. At least I hope so.

He was for me too. That Juve team was crap outside Serie A, but still they have/had some great players and incredible domestic achievements

I don't watch a ton of Serie A, but I've read over and over that for the last 3-4 years Barzagli has been the best central defender at Juve.

I have to disagree rgarding Barzagli. He is very good. Barzagli was easily Juve's best defender under Conte in the last four odd years. Overall, I would say Chiellini is better since I feel he regressed a bit in the last few years but pre-2008 Chiellini was pretty beast.
