The Modern / Current Players Draft

This is probably the most even draft I've ever followed. No team seems to be having an advantage at this stage and it will all come down to having a good match up and a great tactical approach. All teams looks more or less as good right now.

@VivaJanuzaj going to Bayern seems to have stagnated him, at least in the caf's mind. The lad is brilliant!

I considered him but my draft memories are of someome(can't remember the name exactly, started with p, loves thiago) spending a lot of time convincing everyone he was really good at his peak and the caf laughing it off.

Well, he did argue that Schweini and Lahm needed the World Cup to prove that their greats and he did say he doesn't rate Müller. Shouldn't have done that.

Wouldn't worry too much about that. I reckon the only reasonable conclusion, based on recent performances across the board, is simply that the present-day centre half - like modern life itself - is rubbish.

People can't logically argue against Kompany unless they sport something better themselves - and they probably won't be.
