Saw some speculation on Reddit that it could be a tiramisu incident. He does look huge in the embedded and was eating pasta days before the weigh ins.
He did look a bit weird in the face off, I know you can't really take anything from it but it did look to me that either something was going on or he wasn't up for it.
Well that's really hurt the quality of the card, now not only do we not get Arman vs Islam but we lose Dariush vs Moicano as well with Dariush not even fighting and instead we get Islam vs Moicano which is a fun fight don't get me wrong but it's probably a lot more straightforward for Islam than the Tsarukyan fight would've been. We've lost what looked like 2 highly competitive fights for 1 wildcard fight.
I had a look and I agree, he does look a bit spaced out. They both are dehydrated but Tsarukyan looks worse for wear. Speculating on body language during face offs is a meticulous science of course, and I don't claim to be an expert.

They'd probably have to fight at middleweight or something, who knows what Chandler walks around at.
Dariush vs Moicano was a great booking, I think they would have brought the best out of each other. They're both good but a step below the elite/champion level, so yeah Islam will probably take it against him. Moicano lives on hype though, maybe he can shock Islam with aggression to at least make it interesting. Would love a Moicano KO, can you imagine the post fight interview?

Haha yes, Money Moicano would love that fight. And although we probably won't see Conor in MMA again, a title fight against Moicano would surely entice him more than the Chandler fight.
Conor has recently started playing football for his pub team, I don't think he has any intention of fighting again and dedicating to a camp.

Probably about 4:30-5:00am (main card starts at 3am, 3 fights before Umar, roughly 30-40 minutes per fight. Obviously things can change depending on early finishes etc but that'd be my guess).

He faces the unbeaten Usman Nurmagomedov, brother of Umar and cousin of Khabib. Many expect him to breeze past Hughes and eventually take over from Islam in the UFC. I don't think it'll be that easy.
I've followed Hughes journey and he's an excellent well rounded fighter. He was a massive underdog against AJ McKee but handed him his second loss. Hope to see a bigger shock later.

Just learned that Ibragim Ibragimov, who just fought and won, a 20yr old Dagestani/English prospect is the older brother of our very own Amir, that's pretty cool.
Interesting. Hopefully that dagestani blood will bring some fight into our squad.
