Better hope he doesn’t fight like one. His cardio - or lack of - will also be interesting.
Evloev is the real deal, it’s a horrible outing for Sterling (watch him win easily now I’ve said that)

Volkov got completely robbed, otherwise good card.

Shavkat won’t beat Belal after watching that.

How the hell did Gane win that

Rakhmonov didn't look that great but nice to see Machado get that L.

Maybe it was the corn rows on Volkov that put the judges off, my god that was a bad look. He should have won though, it was probably Ganes worst performance yet (outside of the Jones fight). He looked hesitant and lacking any gameplan, and once again went for that useless heel hook. Maybe just lacking confidence after losing to Jones. Dana has already said that he will "make it right" with Volkov.

And Kron should just be cut at this point - he offered nothing aginst Mitchell, those guard pulls were just embarassing and didn't pose any real submission threat once on the ground. Really only one armbar attempt that I remember. He was a interesting name to get in the UFC when he arrived but now has only one win in the almost 6 years he's been in the organization and only looks to be deteriorating in skill.

I saw a lot of people saying Gane is more valuable to Dana for when they host in Paris, probably a lot of truth in that. I 100% think Dana wanted Gane to win despite acting like he’s angry the fight was scored poorly. HW really needs the Aspinall/Jones fight because there’s just not enough talent there to make an enticing title fight otherwise.

Kron is just deluded but has the family name to sell fights.

Yes Dana probably favors Gane for those reasons, plus he is all about optics of his fighters and Gane wins out there. But I don't think Dana will be willing to put Gane back in the title picture just yet, whereas Volkov might be able to get one more win and then the next shot after Aspinall/Jones. Although more likely would be Pereira getting the shot against whoever wins that - and then we can move on to other contenders.

Bit of a strange matchup isn't it, Colby vs Buckley. Big step down for Colby against someone who isn't a big name and a bad matchup for him. At 36 his game isn't going to work well against someone athletic and powerful like Buckley.

Seems like Buckley is being built up after fighting Wonderboy last time and now Colby. Somewhat funny since Colby was trying to get the Wonderboy fight as an easy fight to keep himself relevant. Now he's being used to prop up other fighters on the rise. Although I don't know how far Buckley can go really, he's unbeaten at WW but none of the wins are that impressive. So yeah, strange machup this.

Hopefully just this loss and Colby will be consigned to the scrapheap. Inactive, failed as a fighter & failed as a heel

Yeah this does feel a bit like the UFC just setting Colby up to be taken out into irrelevance. I'm sure Dana is sick of him. My bet here is a KO/TKO for Buckley and then we won't be seeing Colby for a while.

You sure about that?

I meant more in name value. Impa Kasanganay had only four fights in the UFC with two losses including this.

But yes, this is why they're pushing Buckley, he delivers (and receives) cool knockouts. Not for some title aspirations.

I hope he gets sent to the shadow realm but I could see him boring his way to a decision, whichever way it went

Crowd went for chanting for Colby to chanting he sucks within a round. He looks washed though, if Buckley can keep this pace , he'll finish him in round 4 or 5
