Serra just wants to stand and swing for the fences

Don't think Bader deserved that tbf. But *** didn't do too well when he had Bader in full guard.

Agreed. Alright he beat him up when he got him to the mat in the first round, but his takedowns after that were over in a flash. He really struggled on his feet and *** was almost always the aggressor.

that's why I think *** deserved it. His boxing is way better. But the whole reason I thought Bader might win was his wrestling, and low and behold that's what won it for him

Now the big one. War Filipovic!!!!

See I prefer Mirko, but I think Mir is going to do it. On tonight's form that probably means Cro Cop wins. :D

What a terrible fight, and a terrible finish :( Gutted for Crocop. Always hope he'll just go back to being the ruthless fighter of old but his fights are becoming farcical now. Then he just gets KO'd from nowhere

I'm a huge Cro Cop fan, but even now I'm starting to believe he could be finished.... :(

He ain't been the same since he won the PRIDE open weight GP, that was the pinnacle of his career, the day he achieved his goal, and he hasn't had any motivation or ambition since. Such a shame. He's just gone so soft and become a loveable underdog, he doesn't have the same aura

Crocop looked too concerned about being taken down to actually engage in any form of strategy to win.. His leg speed looked good, but when you fight with only one weapon it becomes predictably one dimensinal and intelligent fighters like Mir know how to deal with it.

Well its like Mir said, hows he going to win the fight without using jiu jitsu? Answer = knee from nowhere to K.O him. He's not that good a wrestler and Cro Cop's TD defence is great.

Never been a fan of Mir but he does come off as very knowledgeable. But he also comes off cocky.

I'm torn over whether to respect the man or not

I'm frequently in conflict about whether or not to like Mir either. He seems fairly humble when he speaks.

I've admired Cro Cop for years but I was glad to see him get knocked out after the pile of shite he served up last night tbh. A fighter can't necessarily help being past his prime, but he showed absolutely no desire to try to win that fight. Dana's bound to be looking to cut him after that.

Glad to see Sherk win, although he was fortunate to get the decision. Great fight though. The Lyttle-Serra fight was good too, and Dolloway was very impressive. Had the makings of a great night of fights, a shame it fizzled out towards the end.

Crocop was woeful. He was too concerned about being taken down and barely threw a decent punch and certainly not a decent kick.

I really don't understand what some fighters are thinking. Mir was going to win on points and ended up winning with a very lucky ko, but what was Cro Cop thinking? He must have known that he was probably losing? feck it, you may as well be submitted than lose a shite fight on points? Cro Cop should have played to his strengths and tried to knock Mir out. I don't understand it.

The Sherk fight was great. I think he was lucky enough to get the decision though.

Bader did not deserve a comprehensive 30-27 win from all judges in his fight. He got better shots in, but it was *** who was pressing the action and getting more offence. It was a lot closer in my opinion.

Was flicking through Bravo and discovered Jordan's fella - Alex Reid - doing a reality TV show preparing for a fight against Tom Kong.

The fight itself was at an event called BAMMA 4 about week ago or so and was surprisingly entertaining. Fairly poor standard but was an old skool 5 round stand-up war, which makes a refreshing change from all the lay and pray served up in recent weeks/months.

Got a newfound respect for Reid too. He mightn't be a very good fighter but he's got a lot of heart and an incredible chin.

Check it out...

To be fair to Reid if there's one thing he's known for it's his heart and chin. He's had some cracking brawls over the last 10 years so it I wasn't expecting him to roll over for Watson by any stretch of the imagination.

Not sure if there's a vid of it anywhere online but he had an amazing scrap with Mark Weir at Extreme Brawl 5/6 years ago.

Found it here

Cheers. Will check it out.

Not familiar with his previous fights but watched a few episodes of his previous series - when he was travelling round the world training - and got the impression he was a bit of a lazy twazzock, who was more interested in fame than fighting.

The fifth round of that BAMMA fight was amazing. Don't think I've ever seen someone dig so deep to push the pace for the last 5 minutes after being dead on his feet between rounds.

I didn't like Reid at all but I have a new found respect for him after his performance against Watson.

He is still a prick though.

A bit late on this, but UFC 119 headliners were a fecking joke. CC, just do everyone a favor and call it quits. You're a pride legend and your highlight reel is going to get plenty of views for years to come but that fight was a fecking disgrace. I know, short notice, potential eye injury and all but fecks sake. It's called a fight...how bout you throw a few combo's instead of the one...pause...one..two...disengage, have coffee, high five... take a break to tweet about what you had for breakfast...before realizing you have a fight on that people have paid good money to watch. It was an insipid performance by both fighters with the knee that ended it being the only highlight to what was otherwise a very expensive sparring session.

Oh, and Cecil Peoples...fecking die you cnut. How on earth that stupid, blind bastard managed to rob Evan Dunham of that decision is beyond me. Worst judge in the history of the sport, and that's coming from someone who watches a lot of football.

After a pretty average UFC I was glad the WEC was able to put on fights that actually lived up to their billing. Aldo looks every inch a future LEGEND and P4P king. Can't wait till the WEC and UFC merge, or when Aldo steps over and gives some of the UFC LW's a run for their money.

Anybody watch Aldo vs Gamburyan last week? Another frighteningly good finish by Aldo. Gamburyan looked like a strong, decent opponent initially but Aldo just dismantled him.

I did. Aldo is the fecking man.

In fact WEC 51 on a whole was a very good show. Lots of excellent fights that night. Much much better then UFC 119.

How well do you lot reckon Aldo would do at lightweight in UFC then? Aldo vs Edgar would be fantastic and I think Aldo would win. It'd be interesting to see how he'd deal with retardedly big and strong grapplers like Maynard.

Am I the only one who think that Aldo would wipe the floor with all the 155s?

And especially Edgar... It's not like he's smaller, he just cuts more... I think Aldo would destroy everyone at 155, since BJ doesn't seem to care anymore.

Equal size is the reason I'd confidently pick him to beat Edgar. I'd be more hesitant to pick him against tanks like Maynard until I see how he looks at that weight.

Aren't the UFC promoting the WEC now anyway?

I wouldn't be surprosed if they made a move and incorporated them into their own shows.

I'd rather watch Aldo headline a UFC than Frank Mir.

Edgar is tough but I'd have him second favourite against Aldo. Probably would look a lot like the Faber fight. He'd smash him with low kicks.

I'd love to see Aldo in the UFC LW division, he's a beast. Especially with the prospect of Maynard as champion. I think Aldo could tear through the division, and there'd be a lot of entertaining fights for him one way or another.

Diaz vs Noons II up this weekend. Hoping Diaz comes out on top and avenges the loss. Could be a real interesting fight if they just stand and slug it out but I think Diaz will eventually take it to the ground and get a sub. I'd like to see Diaz back in the UFC too.

So did anyone see Arianny's playboy pictures?

Any torrents maybe? :D:drool:

Not UFC but one of the best fights I've seen in a long time....Mike Zambidis v Chahid Oulad El Hadj from the K1 Max Final 16.

These 2 go hell for leather from the opening bell. Stunning stuff

Diaz-Noons should be a good fight. I detest the Diaz brothers, so I'm rooting for Noons.

Noons looked like a proper twat all through 5 rounds with his stupid hair flicking...but the fight itself was pretty good. I'm not a big fan of Diaz but you got to admire just how well rounded he is as a fighter. I didn't really give Noons much of a chance especially given how motivated Diaz would be for revenge but was surprised the fight went the distance. I had Diaz subbing Noons in the 3rd or 4th. The fact Diaz decided to stand all 5 rounds was a surprise.

Time for Dana White to let Diaz back into the UFC...he and his brother are both pricks but there's no doubting the fact they both put on good fights. Diaz brothers go to war and even if you hate them as people you gotta respect them as fighters.

How come no one is talking about UFC 120 yet??? Come on people...FREE Event! :D

I know it's not as big as some of the other events this year, but Hardy vs Condit and Hathway fights should be a good ruck. Also, anytime Bisping fights is a good thing...hopefully he gets knocked the feck out again, but he's one of those fighters I don't mind getting a win either.

Definitely, I like both of them as fighters. They have a great attitude in the cage. Always happy to fight an opponent wherever they're strongest, like Fedor.

Outside the cage, for everything they do that makes me dislike them they do or say something else that makes me smile.

I think what's most interesting about UFC 120 is the prelims. Looking forward to seeing Maldonado and Nedkov making their UFC debuts, and Diabate is in there as well.

Hardy vs Condit could be a great fight. I don't mind Bisping, but I hope Akiyama gets back on track with this fight

Yep, I respect them and they're always worth watching, even though I'll always want them to get beat.
