This might be a stupid question but when GSP won the fight against Bisping he won the belt right. But he never kept it ?

yep, he won it and because he wasn't gonna defend anytime soon, Whittaker fought Romero for the interim championship. After that, GSP vacated and Whittaker was upgraded to full champ.
For now, yes. He quoted health issues (colitis) as reason for vacating.
I guess he will be back someday to fight another big fight.

A very balanced, cerebral fighter. Calm, composed - decent standup game, world class grappling and ground game. Once he gets you down, its next to impossible to get out of it.
