Nunes - Shevchenko was the real show all along. Only reason it wasn’t advertised as such is because Dana was punishing Nunes for pulling out of the last one.

Yeah i'd heard that, bit petty really... he going to punish every fighter who gets ill before a fight?
Probably so sicne the UFC put a lot of advertising money into hyping up the main event fights for PPV, and if a fighter "lets them down" then they are obviously not going to take the chance again.
Unless someone is prone to injury though and has a history of pulling out, it can happen to anyone. Seems bit much to punish them for bad luck.
Obviously UFC is in it to make money, but fighters have their careers to worry about. Personally i think it just puts them under increased pressure to fight while injured, putting themselves at more risk.
I'm a big critic of many aspects of the UFC, but after a bit of thought, this isn't one of them. They literally spend millions promoting the main event fights for the PPV cards and its the fighter's responsibility to stay fit. In Borg's case it was apparently a viral illness so its just a case of bad luck on his part, but in terms of fighters like Nunes who pulled out at the last minute because she wasn't feeling well or the likes of Khabib, who got sick off the weight cut in the final days, then they are obviously not going to get rebooked as the main PPV draw in the future until, at a minimum, they prove they can fight on one card without pulling out.
Yeah to a certain degree it's got to be a judgement call. If it's directly caused by the fighter not being able to make the weight for example, then totally fair enough. But if it's a natural injury, i'd like to hope there wouldn't be any punishment for the fighter.
They view it strictly in terms of how much money they've spent and whether or not the event happened as advertised. They take their advertising money seriously - they've even pulled McGregor from a PPV event because he could'n't participate in the promotional videos.
Can't wait for Schevchenko v Nunes. Nunes has been with ATT for how long now? Still, she's fighting as well schooled a technical fighter there is in Valentina. Barring a first 2 round KO I've got Scheva to take this.
Just home from work, had to chose between being smart and go to bed, or watch ufc215, and have a beer....
I was never known to be smart anyway, and this Punk IPA is pretty sweet...
Been any good fights so far?
Wow....Cejudo is back. Great performance.
Even fight? Going to 5th?
