It was pretty disappointing. MVP looked like some sort of pantomime hybrid of Anderson Silva and Jon Jones - completely choreographed as if he was trying to be a bit too entertaining. Both fighters seemed unwilling to fully engage into striking and grappling and wound up spending most of the three rounds a tense standoff with the occasional leg kicks and jabs. MvP is going to have to do better than that if he wants to keep improving his stock or one day switch over to UFC.

Never watched the fight so don't know exactly what he said but it's an easy mistake to make. The majority of people around the world just think/speak of Ireland as a whole.
The Manchester crowd was miles better.
So was the Dublin crowd last year
The Manchester crowd has been the best overseas UFC atmosphere to date. Even at stupid o'clock in the morning.
Think it will definitely be back
Most consider the McGregor v Brandao in Dublin to be the greatest overseas crowds (sadly I couldn't make it)
I read a lot of MMA news and don't think I saw much praise for that Manchester crowd
I remember Helwani saying they were the best, even better than Dublin.

I think he's a shadow of himself. He's money for a fight or 2 but I just don't have any interest in watching him fight anymore. Think Mitrone will win easily.
Is anyone listening to MMA Hour? Rashad vs. Kennedy at 206 is off. Kennedy has said Rashad failed an MRI again and has suspected brain damage so will never fight again, sad news if true.

not bad at all. Specially the Belfast card, some pretty good fights. Except obviously for the main event... the ref feck it up with the early stoppage and Hall feck it up by not showing up at all. The ref should have let Mousasi to properly punish Hall before stopping the fight.
What a difference with the refs in the Brazil event... some proper punishment served.
Also, what a waste by Scoggins... He was in complete control and feck it up once again.

The "Conor running from me" stuff is weird really since it's been 2 weeks since the fight. The guy is allowed time off. Khabib is doing a better job than Ferguson than selling a fight though. Although apparently he reckons his next fight will be with Fergsuon then the winner fights McGregor. Be funny as feck is Khabib lost it.

According to Helwani Johnson doesn't want anyone except a title fight (wouldn't even want an interim title fight) so it's a hard one for the UFC.

LHW is truly fecked as a division. I don't even look forward to most fights anymore. Hopefully that will change once Jones is back and DC isn't injured.

Agree with your 2nd post, the division is fecked. It's so shallow, there's 3 fighters and nothing else. 1 is suspended, 1 is injured and the other has beaten everyone else pretty much.
